I was playing this game with low volume because it was late at night and I didn’t wanna bother my roommate. It was so late in fact that I was getting super tired and was only half awake when I suddenly turned to look up after picking up the bombs on the ground in that cave and saw “sluggy” wedged in the wall, quietly writhing around in my flashlight beam. When I say I shat myself and my soul left my body in that moment…let’s just leave it at “I remembered that it was a ‘horror’ survival game after that”
Lol I was like that when I was captured and woke up underwater tied to a rope, then I realized they had left me tied up not that far from where the sharks and the life raft are..that swim back to the beach was tense.

I'm on day 14 and literally cannot get peace to work on my base. Constant waves of gold mask cannibals attack and mutants, sometimes both at once resulting in a 3 way battle.I think from day 10 onward they go postal. They actually need to dial down the spawns a tad, especially the feral ones that are everywhere. Virginia has literally saved my butt a few times now with the gun I gave her :)
Did you attack or kill one before that? Because I haven't had a problem with them yet, but I probably will later.
@@Rimuru_Tempest_- I've killed quite a few of them. At some point they eventually push the boundaries too far and get aggressive, it's really just a matter of time. One of the big brutes attacked Virginia and I stepped in.

I love that after so many times knowing the enemies two shot him. Insym still decides to fight close quarters with the small axe.

Hey Isym! Quick tip I found out in my first few hours on accident, if you hold your inventory key down it pulls your pack pack in front of you, allowing you to “quick select” whatever items you put on it
The lady with 3 legs can become your companion, just keep your distance until she comes to you

@@dxrkicey62 the devs know how important he can be to the players, so as long as a player isn't the one that killed him, they're pretty lenient on him coming back. It's the same principle as when you die for the first time, you just get held in a cannibal camp instead of getting a game over.
@@haggardmoose so Will he just randomly respawn? Mine died by cannibals and he still hasn’t come back and it’s been a day

Insym those mutants with teeth at front jab with spear in legs its the weakness and crucifix can be used on cannibals in cave to set them on fire they dont like jesus. Hope this helps you

For some reason when I went through this cave, I had like three times as many mutants even though I’m on nomal… idk why but I hope that’s not the case for all the other ones. Where Insym met his first twin mutant I had four in that room +3 of the finger ones. Guess I’m just lucky 😎 (fml)
I think is probably because he is in hard mode as a balancing feature. So enemies are harder but players get less armor and resources.
Insym be like: *enters the villages and the homes of wild Tribesmen and steals their shit while they are watching*
Also Insym a few seconds later: ''I didnt do anything, i was peaceful. why are they attacking me.''

I lived in an area with moose. most of the time they are not agressive and would rather run. You can drive them off with snowballs.
During Rutting season or of the feel cornered of have young with them, that is a different matter
The fingers cannibals are weak when you stab them in the knee with a spear. It kind of stun locks them so you get a few free hits before they stand back up. Otherwise using a bow is a huge waste of time as they are absolute damage sponges.

at 1:20:30 you can put a half-log along the logs connecting to the wall, then you can remove the pillar because you no longer need its suppport

Fair enough that Insym is enjoying it, but I sorta dislike hard mode. Feels a bit like a chore to hit someone five times, get hit once, run away to heal, run back and hit them five more times before they actually die. Although it seems to help a lot when you aren't using the starting axe, and are using the bow er something else instead
The problem is the starting axe also has the shorter range. So it is easier to get hit and harder to hit the enemies back. I think it also has the lowest stagger so you can't stunlock or make enemies fall as easily.
Using dismembered arms and legs is a good way to distract the sharks from attacking you, or so I’ve heard!
So, a little breakdown from using the cross in Forest games: “It burns demons,” which I’m unsure is useful here, and non-aggressive cannibals are scared of it, as you saw.
Here, it’s really just one of the items you can equip to dissuade most cannibals from attacking you.

im not much for horror games, and the forest was an ok game to me when my gf made me play it with her. after seeing the crafting bit i definitely think she will drag me into this too and ill get to spend alot of time with calven just making the base
The cave systems in this game are so realistic and scary
I wish we could combine rope with the mask so you can just equip it without holding it and I would like it to place it better on the face for both the user to see better and for it not to look stupid in multiplayer.
Currently in multiplayer if you look at a players with the mask, the player is definetly not wearing it right
Episode 1: I try to be friendly and kill no cannibals or mutants at all.
Episode 2: Can I bomb the mutants and shoot them with a gun? But not cannibals, I come in peace... of course.
Episode 3 (probably): I took over the entire cannibal tribe by slaughtering then all.

Somebody should really tell homie that if he cooks the meat it might stay good longer just like in real life. Between this episode and last I've seen him spoil and overcook soo much food, and as a cook when I see his food safety handling skills I want to shit a brick a little bit. Lol

I’ve really been wanting to play this game but the universe won’t let me. I couldn’t get into my steak account because my password was wrong or something. Tried to send an email to reset. Email is full. Have to delete a ton of pictures and emails. Finally get email. Get on the game. Game crashes. Open game again play for 4 minutes. Game crashes. Computer also crashes. I give up. I’m so sad I really wanted to play. I’m not a gamer or anyone who really gets to play games a lot so I was just really upset when I couldn’t even try. It’s super fun watching Insym play so I’ll do that for now
