Shockingly impressed with this game, and i cant even really explain why... the atmosphere is just really melancholic, and lonely (despite being all about talking to people). The vibes are immaculately eastern european lol. Hopefully they can fix up the translation a bit, theres quite a few confusing sentences/typos.
the art style in this game is so good, it's unsettling but still somewhat realistic. i also love how human the characters are (at least, the human ones lol) in their dialogs. you can actually tell their personalities apart, despite they fact they're all scared and somewhat numb. it's very interesting and well done.
At 1:10:37 you can actually spare her. She is a visitor, but she is the only visitor in the game who does not hurt the other guests and will not hurt you. She also doesn't count towards getting a bad ending. It doesn't make sense, but I think that's the point of her character -- to make you begin to question the nature of visitors and what they are? There's actually a nice story that plays out with her of acceptance of her situation if you check her for every single one of the signs of a visitor.
It's a really cool concept, and while I think the broken English adds an element of eeriness, I do hope they get someone to proofread the dialogue before the full game comes out because I found myself thinking "Do they mean...?" and "........ wat" on multiple occasions.
Yes, especially with the living room being called the cupboard. Maybe that's what it's called in the original language of this game, but it makes me think the guy is in stuffed in a kitchen cabinet or something in english

In every Slavic language the word for kitchen is pretry much the same - "Kuhnya" (or pronounced as Koo-H-nya - with the H being hard and pronounced like in the words Harvard or Hamster) and the word for cupboard is totally different from the word for kitchen. The only possible thing I can think of is that in Russian the word "buffet" have a secondary meanings like cupboard or refreshment place, but I don't know why that word would be used originally instead of the word for kitchen, because "buffet" is used widely more for restaurants or hotels . Unless it's a regional/dialect thing where the devs are from and they call kitchen a buffet instead, then whoever translated it just saw one of the meanings in Google Translate thinking that's the word for kitchen.

The term just isn't used in english anymore, in finnish it's an old fashioned concept but I immediately knew what they meant. The studio is russian I think so they just translated Кабинет literally.

I actually think the suit guy is a real human, the visitors can kill people in other rooms and he had the fat lady and wolverine both in the house at that point. FEMA only seems to take real humans, and they took the suit guy, Insym never really checked him.
This game is well made I just hope its endings be more impactful, and also it'd be nice if its daily events behind each window and the front door are more relevent, like, isn't it weird to see your house surrounded by gov troops and forces while there's literally a naked pale skinny tall guy right outside your front door?

After watching a lot of playthroughs of this game I think I finally have a guess at who the visitors are. I believe they're resurrected people. Like zombies but restored to how they were in life. Perhaps the perfect teeth are an effect of the regeneration. The dirty nails are from digging themselves out. The red eye thing seems to just be an adverse reaction to the sun like they said. The blurry photo is very similar to the old myth that vampires can't be seen in mirrors. Speaking of vampires, these visitors can't enter the house without being invited by the player. Even the pale man doesn't come in your house, he pulls you out of the house. I believe that the visitors have some vague disjointed memories from their past lives, but no souls or normal emotions. The first human who knocks on the door has a temper, the kid cries, the conspiracy theorist is jubilant, and the grieving wife is devastated. The visitors emotions feel more faked and inappropriate. They also generally react more neutrally to being asked to leave. The first visitor who shows up intrigues me, since we know she is a visitor, what was up with her story that she got kicked out of her home? You could say it's just a lie, but it's easier to make up lies that are close to the truth than to make up total fabrications. If she's undead like I think, maybe she returned to the house she owned when she was alive, and couldn't really understand why other people were living there now. The lady who's always cold, is it because she has no body heat? It all fits in with an end of days purgatorial cataclysm .
I agree with this extremely, I am certain the visitors are just vampires. Like the actual mythological idea of vampires just in modern society. The vampires/visitors have started recently rising from the grave and are integrating with normal society and trying to take control for their own survival and enjoyment. They're clearly superhuman and supernatural in strengths. But seeing how there's a lot of hints of people still being outside during the day and not burning to death from the sun or even in the beginning how they say "its hot out but get ready to go to the beach still." Then reports of people later on burning from the scorching heat but not implied as "everyone." Especially with the bald guy who is just travelling and not staying at people's homes. FEMA are wearing the suits to avoid the sun even though its night time. And if they're vampires/visitors wearing that is perfect to avoid the sun if it really does. What's interesting is the TV is at first giving off like good enough knowledge to find out the visitors but towards the end gets more definitive proof. Which does show. The TV station is definitely not in control by the visitors/vampires. And whoever they're getting their info from is definitely trying to figure out what the hell is going on. It's an obvious mix of Stay home and be safe in quarantine but also that may benefit the visitors obviously because they only come out at night. There's not any signs of them being able to wandering during the day at all. So its assumed that everyone cannot go out during the day. They come out of the ground, they're blurry in photos, they are obviously showing signs of being supernatural and dead and even being superhumanly strong enough to wipe out an entire squad of soldiers. Its really cool how its like from the perspective of just anyone in society who just lives within the society's norms. TV. News. Being fed what info you are given vs actually learning on your own and finding out yourself (like the wandering bald guy) You don't know if they're visitors or not till you get definitive proof. Plus at 1:03:10 The bald guy that shows up talking about what's going on, he says he doubts the glaciers are even melting meaning its not hot outside or clearly hot enough to actually be hurting people let alone the world around us, he's pointing out basically all the info you get from the TV what if its a lie? What if you're just believing into society and fake news like most people normally fall for? What if the visitors/vampires have control of the media and this is exactly what they want. To have people not go out during the day and stay indoors during the day and come out at night so they can kill them easily, in their own playing field. The FEMA may literally just be visitors/vampires as well. Especially with the pale man just walking up after the "fema" agent leaves and is like "Hey what do you think of him?" Its making you question. Is he actually doing his job or is there something more going on that since we don't know and don't go outside. We don't got definitive answer of it. and questioning the ideas and asking the player "Why do you need this knowledge?" - Like What are you searching for? Confirmation? Comfort? You sure you're not just paranoid at what info is being given to you may be real or not? Keep in mind, this bald guy never comes into your home and doesn't want to. He is just wandering and most likely during the day as well. Its really cool, super well done when you think about how genuinely well put together this is and the atmosphere around it, the horror and paranoia of fear that may be lurking around you that you do not understand but get little crumbs of it trying to stay safe and not risk it.
If you've watched a lot of play throughs then can you suggest the best one? I first went to manlybadasshero's channel but the comments said that he just "speed ran" the game without getting any lore plus many of his kills were unjustified. Jacksepticeye also has a video on it but I don't really like his current chill guy persona, the old one was my type (no hate tho he's still amazing). There aren't many videos on this game either
@@purrl0ckh0lmesi watched manly which i enjoyed his play through but i do think he could’ve gotten more out of the lore but his kills to me made sense and he caught on quickly to who’s a visitor and who isn’t. i watched him then watched like two videos explaining the lore and endings, this video did well at kinda learning the lore more but to watch all dialogues id watch videos that go more into depth or explain. you might like kubzscouts as he did a playthrough and i think he’s pretty energetic and entertaining tho i haven’t seen him play this specific game
I really like the more cautious, strategic way this game handled finding imposters because Papers, Please and Not Tonight were a little too fast-paced for me. Please play the full release when it comes out!!!
Crazy thing is that if most of us were caught outside with nowhere to go, we'd probably bury ourselves beneath the dirt until nightfall. It was my first thought going through this game, red eyes and dirt under the nails would explain someone who got caught out in daylight, then buried themselves trying to escape this insane heat and light. The blurry photos, along with the creepy guy in the backyard who murders the soldiers were my confirmation that there was more than hysteria to this.
In one of the dialogues, when you kill at least 1 visitor or two, have a human killed by visitor, deny little girl entry, have empty house(due to visitors killing real people and FEMA taking the 2 people) and wait for the 2nd time you meet the shirtless visitor who asks if you are alone, he will scold you for the blood on your hands and gives his philosophy of you being vicious like a beast and says he will give you what you deserve aka death. It is really creepy when I played it myself and got that because I didn't see it in the video of those specific requirements. Also if you are killing people and visitors, the girl visitor in the beginning will spew some crazy words and will not allow you to click on her anymore but then again I was probably out of energy then but i skipped through her dialogue because I thought I already got that(I didn't)
When you shoot the guy who pretty obviously killed LongArms, he becomes a body bag since hes actually human, but also kills people and gives you a bad ending if you keep him, meaning hes just a human who murders other humans, which is kinda scarier than the visitors since, other than his obvious red flag statements, theres no way to know hes a killer
Insym needs to use his energy to check multiple signs of if the person is a visitor, but every time he wastes it by just conversing makes me want to yell at him through the screen, lol
Also i think either the second or first Fema is a visitor considering the second one was confused about someone already being taken before and then trying to cover it up
You can tell the survival of the fittest weird guy was a visitor because of the trash bags indicating the tall man was human and killed. Sucks to loose a human but it's a dead giveaway of whoever is left standing in the room that they're the visitor and killed everyone else

That game does a really good job with bringing up the vibe. So much that I was scared to go to the toilet and back to bed even though its 9 am and not even dark. I'm 27 and that doesnt happen often. Need more of that!
But if he's a surgeon with polycoria and (assumedly) managed to maintain his career, then he's probably better than we think he is. That's impressive if you ask me.
There's a chance that that's the case. Considering that the craze only started due to the Sun well, combusting for a bit, people became extremely overreactive towards everything, and well, some of them just acted like how one would coming from a post-apocalyptic world. Also, I think at some point in the demo, the news kind of says that these "visitors" are "originally humans that were just infected" or something along those lines.

That would've been a good twist, I thought of it too at first, but the game makes a clear distinction between humans and visitors when you kill them, humans turn into garbage bags and the visitors are like regular bodies, so they do exist. That's my only complaint about this game, I wish they didn't make the obvious distinction between humans and visitors and left you questioning if you made the right decision or was it a coincidence that some people have perfect teeth/dirty nails etc. like in real life or even if the visitors truly exist.
Btw I think insym misunderstood the game kinda especially at first from what i understand you have to check multiple things to be sure a normal human can have clean teeth or red eyes for example but not both (or havent seen a human have both yet)
Love this game, excited for the full release. Amazing atmosphere and interesting game play. It takes the Papers, Please premise in a unique direction. I love the melancholic, lonely vibe and the almost mystical, existential dialogue.
I fell asleep and this video influenced my dream... BRUH strangers was not allowed in the house... we closed the door on this one chick cause she tried to get in and smashed her in the door and she just slithered out like liquid.
I really like this game. I hope, in the final game, that they either randomize or have so many people that you can't memorize who is good/bad (I like the latter idea). I think it would make each playthrough fully unique and prevent the player from speeding through.

There's actually a separate "perfect" ending where the game says something along the lines of "You have a good eye" when I got this ending I let in every person except the bald murderer in the suit but I imagine it can also probably be done with him.

When i started watching in 2022..I didn't know i would be this addicted to watching Insym.. It was my stress relief during medical entrance exam.. And now i can't stop watching. this game scratches an itch for me... the artstyle is phenomenal!! I'm not usually one to comment on a game's artstyle (mainly because most games I've seen are either not exactly visually interesting for me -- I'm not an artist, nor do I usually pay much attention to visual style -- or the devs went "haha reelickstick grafficks"), but this one hits so much differently for me. ESPECIALLY the way they mixed 2D and 3D environments. I might have to take inspiration from these devs for my own creations! The music is also interesting; it kinda reminds me of that one album that tries to represent what dementia is like. The production on it is superb.

Insym is one of a very few streamers I watch for a few reasons: 1. He doesn't get tilted and always seems to have a good time and is relatively entertaining and talkative and 2. He's good at videogames and actually figures out what he needs to do and 3. He likes the lore, so he seeks out lore and hidden endings. The only other streamer I like who is similar to Insym in these ways is Manlybadasshero. Other streamers I've watched have the issue of either not being entertaining or clearly not enjoying the game OR being so bad at videogames and never watching a tutorial that it is frustrating to watch them play (*cough* Jackspeticeye *cough* *cough*).

Visitor: - Homeless drug user (has perfect teeth after substance abuse? yeah ok sure bud) - Girl wearing jacket(s) (obviously her fingernails. also she talks about wanting for the heat of the sun but is wearing a jacket?) - Amogus guy (face is distorted in photo, bloodshot eyes, is wearing an amogus shirt ie. is sus/an impostor) - Guy in plaid/checkered shirt (says he owned a gun that was stolen but is 'afraid' of your camera flash, very white teeth) - Guy in a suit (he says that he got into a fight when checking is fingernails so really not sure about him, especially since his eyes are good and his teeth have those silver/gold jackets; his height changes while talking to him at the door) - Fat lady who was 'kicked out' by FEMA (face is distorted in photo, fingernails are dirty/missing) Human: - Tall Man (gap in tooth) - Crazy man talking about the sun (no distortion in photo) - Old Doctor - Woman with dead husband (taking a photo reveals woman is clear but dead husband is blurry/distorted) - Little Girl

FEMA are wearing the suits to avoid the sun even though its night time. And if they're vampires/visitors wearing that is perfect to avoid the sun if it really does.
What's interesting is the TV is at first giving off like good enough knowledge to find out the visitors but towards the end gets more definitive proof. Which does show. The TV station is definitely not in control by the visitors/vampires. And whoever they're getting their info from is definitely trying to figure out what the hell is going on. It's an obvious mix of Stay home and be safe in quarantine but also that may benefit the visitors obviously because they only come out at night. There's not any signs of them being able to wandering during the day at all. So its assumed that everyone cannot go out during the day.
They come out of the ground, they're blurry in photos, they are obviously showing signs of being supernatural and dead and even being superhumanly strong enough to wipe out an entire squad of soldiers. Its really cool how its like from the perspective of just anyone in society who just lives within the society's norms. TV. News. Being fed what info you are given vs actually learning on your own and finding out yourself (like the wandering bald guy)
You don't know if they're visitors or not till you get definitive proof.
Plus at 1:03:10 The bald guy that shows up talking about what's going on, he says he doubts the glaciers are even melting meaning its not hot outside or clearly hot enough to actually be hurting people let alone the world around us, he's pointing out basically all the info you get from the TV what if its a lie? What if you're just believing into society and fake news like most people normally fall for? What if the visitors/vampires have control of the media and this is exactly what they want. To have people not go out during the day and stay indoors during the day and come out at night so they can kill them easily, in their own playing field. The FEMA may literally just be visitors/vampires as well. Especially with the pale man just walking up after the "fema" agent leaves and is like "Hey what do you think of him?" Its making you question. Is he actually doing his job or is there something more going on that since we don't know and don't go outside. We don't got definitive answer of it.
and questioning the ideas and asking the player "Why do you need this knowledge?" - Like What are you searching for? Confirmation? Comfort? You sure you're not just paranoid at what info is being given to you may be real or not? Keep in mind, this bald guy never comes into your home and doesn't want to. He is just wandering and most likely during the day as well.
Its really cool, super well done when you think about how genuinely well put together this is and the atmosphere around it, the horror and paranoia of fear that may be lurking around you that you do not understand but get little crumbs of it trying to stay safe and not risk it.
If you've watched a lot of play throughs then can you suggest the best one? I first went to manlybadasshero's channel but the comments said that he just "speed ran" the game without getting any lore plus many of his kills were unjustified. Jacksepticeye also has a video on it but I don't really like his current chill guy persona, the old one was my type (no hate tho he's still amazing). There aren't many videos on this game either
@@purrl0ckh0lmesi watched manly which i enjoyed his play through but i do think he could’ve gotten more out of the lore but his kills to me made sense and he caught on quickly to who’s a visitor and who isn’t. i watched him then watched like two videos explaining the lore and endings, this video did well at kinda learning the lore more but to watch all dialogues id watch videos that go more into depth or explain. you might like kubzscouts as he did a playthrough and i think he’s pretty energetic and entertaining tho i haven’t seen him play this specific game

I really like the more cautious, strategic way this game handled finding imposters because Papers, Please and Not Tonight were a little too fast-paced for me. Please play the full release when it comes out!!!
Crazy thing is that if most of us were caught outside with nowhere to go, we'd probably bury ourselves beneath the dirt until nightfall. It was my first thought going through this game, red eyes and dirt under the nails would explain someone who got caught out in daylight, then buried themselves trying to escape this insane heat and light. The blurry photos, along with the creepy guy in the backyard who murders the soldiers were my confirmation that there was more than hysteria to this.
In one of the dialogues, when you kill at least 1 visitor or two, have a human killed by visitor, deny little girl entry, have empty house(due to visitors killing real people and FEMA taking the 2 people) and wait for the 2nd time you meet the shirtless visitor who asks if you are alone, he will scold you for the blood on your hands and gives his philosophy of you being vicious like a beast and says he will give you what you deserve aka death. It is really creepy when I played it myself and got that because I didn't see it in the video of those specific requirements. Also if you are killing people and visitors, the girl visitor in the beginning will spew some crazy words and will not allow you to click on her anymore but then again I was probably out of energy then but i skipped through her dialogue because I thought I already got that(I didn't)

When you shoot the guy who pretty obviously killed LongArms, he becomes a body bag since hes actually human, but also kills people and gives you a bad ending if you keep him, meaning hes just a human who murders other humans, which is kinda scarier than the visitors since, other than his obvious red flag statements, theres no way to know hes a killer

There's a chance that that's the case.
Considering that the craze only started due to the Sun well, combusting for a bit, people became extremely overreactive towards everything, and well, some of them just acted like how one would coming from a post-apocalyptic world.
Also, I think at some point in the demo, the news kind of says that these "visitors" are "originally humans that were just infected" or something along those lines.

That would've been a good twist, I thought of it too at first, but the game makes a clear distinction between humans and visitors when you kill them, humans turn into garbage bags and the visitors are like regular bodies, so they do exist. That's my only complaint about this game, I wish they didn't make the obvious distinction between humans and visitors and left you questioning if you made the right decision or was it a coincidence that some people have perfect teeth/dirty nails etc. like in real life or even if the visitors truly exist.

The whole lore of deciding if people are real or not kinda sounds similar to "FROM", really good tv show.
Love this game, excited for the full release. Amazing atmosphere and interesting game play. It takes the Papers, Please premise in a unique direction. I love the melancholic, lonely vibe and the almost mystical, existential dialogue.

I really like this game. I hope, in the final game, that they either randomize or have so many people that you can't memorize who is good/bad (I like the latter idea). I think it would make each playthrough fully unique and prevent the player from speeding through.

There's actually a separate "perfect" ending where the game says something along the lines of "You have a good eye" when I got this ending I let in every person except the bald murderer in the suit but I imagine it can also probably be done with him.

this game scratches an itch for me... the artstyle is phenomenal!! I'm not usually one to comment on a game's artstyle (mainly because most games I've seen are either not exactly visually interesting for me -- I'm not an artist, nor do I usually pay much attention to visual style -- or the devs went "haha reelickstick grafficks"), but this one hits so much differently for me. ESPECIALLY the way they mixed 2D and 3D environments. I might have to take inspiration from these devs for my own creations! The music is also interesting; it kinda reminds me of that one album that tries to represent what dementia is like. The production on it is superb.

I'm only 42min into the vid but for some reason i really like how they set the scene with the vibe and atmosphere.
UA-cam recommended me this video randomly. I've never heard of this channel before, but it looks like he just hit 1 million subscribers today, so congrats! 🎉
Insym is one of a very few streamers I watch for a few reasons:
1. He doesn't get tilted and always seems to have a good time and is relatively entertaining and talkative
and
2. He's good at videogames and actually figures out what he needs to do
and
3. He likes the lore, so he seeks out lore and hidden endings.
The only other streamer I like who is similar to Insym in these ways is Manlybadasshero.
Other streamers I've watched have the issue of either not being entertaining or clearly not enjoying the game OR being so bad at videogames and never watching a tutorial that it is frustrating to watch them play (*cough* Jackspeticeye *cough* *cough*).
He’s a great streamer! He streams pretty much every day on twitch at the same time.

Apparently garbage bags means that there is a visitor in the house killing people.
Visitor:
- Homeless drug user (has perfect teeth after substance abuse? yeah ok sure bud)
- Girl wearing jacket(s) (obviously her fingernails. also she talks about wanting for the heat of the sun but is wearing a jacket?)
- Amogus guy (face is distorted in photo, bloodshot eyes, is wearing an amogus shirt ie. is sus/an impostor)
- Guy in plaid/checkered shirt (says he owned a gun that was stolen but is 'afraid' of your camera flash, very white teeth)
- Guy in a suit (he says that he got into a fight when checking is fingernails so really not sure about him, especially since his eyes are good and his teeth have those silver/gold jackets; his height changes while talking to him at the door)
- Fat lady who was 'kicked out' by FEMA (face is distorted in photo, fingernails are dirty/missing)
Human:
- Tall Man (gap in tooth)
- Crazy man talking about the sun (no distortion in photo)
- Old Doctor
- Woman with dead husband (taking a photo reveals woman is clear but dead husband is blurry/distorted)

I haven't played the game, but I tried finding out if Guy in a suit is a visitor or not and found in a video where if you kill him he leaves plastic bags. If anyone has the game I would be interested.
How did you know that the dead husband was q visitor but the women wasn't?
