This made a whole lot of sense. Very significant to this millennial age. To add on to that, for practical reasons, I am choosing at the moment my practical job and learn to find anything that will make me enjoy my current employment. It can either be the people that I meet at work or the fun and positive things that I learn from work. Alongside, during spare time and weekends, I fulfill my passion for Media and continue UA-cam and vlogging. It just gives me a whole sense of fulfillment and satisfaction. I agree, plan everything and commit to that plan so everything will go in direction but also expect failures along the way but think of it as a learning that'll make you a better person tomorrow.
I completely agree with Atom. I'm a licensed teacher but I chose the bpo industry. I ended up being a programmer which I love so much. I can still do the teaching part by training people. So much wisdom from this video. Great job to both of you.

Kasi let's face it, hindi naman kasi talaga ganun kadali i-pursue ang dream job kung kumakalam ang sikmura mo/ nang pamilya mo. This is what I've been doing for the past decade. I try to work "practical" jobs that is also in my field (media). I'll save up enough money, get myself financially stable and when I'm ready, I pursue my passion until I hit a certain point where I feel like I need to get a "practical" job again. About a year ago, I quit my 2 year job (2 media jobs actually, one in the states and Dubai) after I saved up enough money to travel the Philippines, Japan and drive across America. I'm currently sitting on a big HDD full of footage from those trips that I've been meaning to turn into a "travel show." All while I'm back home working a "practical" job at a radio station, saving up and getting ready for my Euro leg next year. You just gotta find balance and patience. Be willing to work hard and focus on your goals. It's like a marathon! :)

I did my dream job for eleven years (which is teaching in a university), however (let's face it, it doesn't pay much), I left the academe and started my engineering practice. I agree to this statement but I think this only applies to those who does not solely rely on their monthly income to feed their family. What Atom said though is more practical: "finding your passion in the job that you have". You need to learn how to love your job and be thankful that you have a job. It may not be your dream job but it can help you reach your other dreams. 😉

Confucius said "Choose a job you love, and you will never have to work a day in your life." I agree to this statement but I think this only applies to those who does not solely rely on their monthly income to feed their family. What Atom said though is more practical: "finding your passion in the job that you have". You need to learn how to love your job and be thankful that you have a job. It may not be your dream job but it can help you reach your other dreams. 😉

✔️check if your job supports your passion
✔️don't think that you are not leading the life that you envisioned yourself just because you have to WORK HARD at the job that you HAVE.
✔️Always find your passion on the job that you have.
