I love your vlogs! You're so real and try not to hide things that can help others. But I also enjoy how you don't let everyone know everything in your life. You have found a great balance and I look up to you. Every time I want to quit, I just watch one of your videos and I get super motivated. Keep it up and stay healthy!

As someone who has dealt with Chronic health issues for years, I am so moved to see your video! I just started looking into social media management as a career option that I can do from home that can accommodate my health struggles and I came upon your content and I have been eating it up. Thanks for your transparency! It’s very touching to those of us who are in the same boat!

Thank you for posting this! Ironically watched this from bed as I'm sick with the same "controversial" flu 😂 I had it for the first time in 2023 like you and it was horrible. I was terrified to get it again and here I am! It's hard because everyone had such different symptoms. As a business owner, I try tell clients and students what I have and some people just don't get it or say things like "yeah I've had that 6 times already". The guilt when you feel like you should be doing more work is real. But we gotta cut out the noise and focus on our own health because thats most important at the end of the day :)

I can somewhat relate to your situation, it makes me think of when I took my hair extensions out in September and spiraling from it because of my self image. My hair became so thin and fragile it made me panic. My husband, hair dresser and anyone I would ask about my hair said I looked fine and it felt like I was crazy. I didn’t enjoy that period of my life at all. Here’s to continued strength and recovery ❤️‍🩹

LOOOVVVEEE your vlogs and all the realness!! I watch almost all your videos, and honestly, I haven't even noticed your eye situation and low energy. But now, watching this video and hearing what you have gone through the past few months made me just so amazed and inspired by your commitment and professionalism! You're amazing! 🫶

Thanks 👍 Latasha for being honest and showing that you are human. People need to remember that a human being is behind every UA-cam channel and it isn't appropriate for people who aren't qualified to give you advice regarding physical health or mental health issues that is for your local GP or medical professional to give advice on. Love 🥰 the vlog and love 💗 Latasha.

I don't comment a lot but I wanted to say thank you for voicing everything so openly. I feel like as a freelancer/business owner everyone has this perception that your life is perfect and that you don't have any right to complain or be depressed, etc. That's so not the case. You're still human, dealing with human struggles on this planet. It definitely makes me feel less alone on this journey ❤

Love your vlogs! I really hope you start feeling better. And I appreciate your rant about the American health care system. My husband has had ridiculous recommendations from his rheumatologist - and interestingly - very little discussion of diet, stress, his job that exposes him to terrible chemicals. Anyway, I appreciate your willingness to share that you've sought out alternatives. I'd love to hear more about how you repurpose content for Norris' travel business.

Whoohoo! So pleased you liked my comment. I was about to go to bed and saw your vlog pop up and decided to get cosy and watch it and then saw me lil comment pop up on screen 😁
I appreciate your transparency about slowing down and I’ve seen a lot of people / UA-camrs saying the same thing. I think it’s a good example for people to remind them to set boundaries with work for health reasons.
After I became a mum, I burnt out trying to juggle motherhood and career and ultimately after 3 years I’ve decided to take a step back from the hustle for a few years. I’m still working but nowhere near what I was doing and so career is on a bit of a pause at the moment and it’s something I struggle with even though it’s the best decision for now.
It’s reassuring to see even the most productive of people prioritising health and balance because as a society we don’t do that enough and it helps others who have had to make similar choices / decisions.

Hello Latasha, thanks a lot for sharing your journey. I've been dealing with LPR since November 2024 and it has been really hard as an agency owner.
It's been a roller-coaster too as my condition is correlated to stress and anxiety and as a business owner and content creator it's hard to reduce the level of stress.

After dealing with a bad thyroid episode my eyes were never the same. It is so hard when parts of your body that you like and that others can see change drastically. People have told me: when you wear your glasses, you nearly cannot see it! So I absolutely can relate to what you're saying. I can only work 50% and I also have a hard time not comparing myself to other freelancers and my old self. A friend of mine has long covid too. She had to give up her job and it"s just so hard. Also here in Germany, doctors just don't know how to help her and she also went to a natural person who helped her holistically. Big hug to you!

Aaah Latasha!! I switched to my main account so I can comment haha.
I’ll try to TLDR my situation but basically, I got post-infectious IBS at 22 years old that is triggered by stress. I’ve also had seasons of recurring infections and stye’s where I was given endless antibiotics at a time I did not have insurance or the means to afford care (height of COVID and could not find FTE). I get very anxious thinking about those times and now use that anxiety to continue to fuel my ambition to work towards financial freedom and a flexible schedule and make the money I want one day without feeling hopeless about caring for my health. It’s so disheartening how much this healthcare system defaults to treating symptoms instead of understanding the root of issues. A lot of the recurring infections I had were cured once I stopped taking antibiotics and let my body rest.
I guess what I want to say is that I empathize with you so much and I absolutely love your vlogs and feeling like we can get to know you here. We care about you and want to see you well. Thank you for everything you do and please rest as hard as you’ve worked ❤

You don’t know my jab history, viewpoints, or any of my additional health details like testing I’ve done and personal medical history. I asked that we’re all mindful of that in the video and wouldn’t just make this up.

Thank you for being so transparent and honest about this 🤍it feels like the world has pretty much moved on from 2020 and it's really isolating when you're someone who is part of a vulnerable population or dealing with long-term effects from this illness trying to still care for yourself - especially while being a solopreneur without a team to rely on. Please continue to care for yourself; staying happy and healthy is priceless and so much more important than producing.
