Fun Fact: Randy and Rollins could not hit in practice. They attempted 5 times before the PPV and never hit it correctly. The only time they hit it was in the actual match.
They also weren't sure if it was possible originally, and were told to "Ask Claudio" about it because if anyone could figure out how to pull off a move that had never been attempted before, it would be Cesaro.
I still think the one orton did the best one to Seth of the side of the cage weeks after this
That’s the exact definition of practise
Source?
@@SenpaiTheExplorer I think it was on the broken skull show with Stone Cold
Sammy's ladder cutter on Cody was also an all-timer of a spot. It looked like it was animated for a game because those spots never turn out so crisp.
It looked indy as shit 🤣
Man that match was an awesome way for cody to leave the company 🔥
Hell of a way to go out
That Springboard Moonsault into the Superkick counter is hands down one of the most coolest spots ever that has been repeated multiple times
Shane's plummet through the table with Owens barely making it to safety I think is #1 for me, mostly for the fact of how badly injured people would have gotten if Shane landed on Owens while he was still getting up.
"currently known as impact" was the quickest factual to incorrect statement turn in years
The Logan/Ricochet crossbody at the Rumble should have been on here. Definitely need a part 2, 3, and 4 for this one.
One man springboarding from every side of the ring. 4 way collision
Agreed. It would have looked rly bad had it…not looked good lol.
Nah. Highly over rated spot
Shane's done so many stuntman-esque bumps I'm willing to bet he named his dog Spot
Jeff's Whisper in the Wind to Umaga off the top of the cage comes to mind.
The Cole superkick spot was recreated on an episode of NXT TV in October 2018 with Cole and Pete Dunne hitting a double superkick on Ricochet in the same moonsault position he was in at Brooklyn 4
Adam’s comment about “never seeing the Contract” reminded me that a Jack Swagger Elite figure actually came with a contract in the MITB briefcase. Fully openable, and with a small plastic contract inside.
Wait.
Let me get this straight: You include Eddie's theft of Rey's mask in the lead-up to Halloween Havoc '97, but NOT the near-impossible top rope backflip DDT from the actual match?
I think you also came up with that one on a crack day.
any anti-air spot is always ambitious yet amazing when it works
For me the best spot ever was Ricochet and Cesaro (wrestling as Helios and Claudio Castagnoli) in a Chikara show in the 00s. Ric's finisher was doing a somersault into a guy and dragging him over into a pinning combo called the "High Speed Rolling Prawn Hold" (oh Chikara), which was cool as shit on it's own. Cesaro countered it into a backflip sitout powerbomb, which required Ricochet to do 1.5 flips in the process together with him as they spun in the air together. It was mental and was, to my knowledge, the only time Highspots ever had a replay on a Chikara DVD. Sadly my Chikara DVD collection died in a flood and finding it online has been fruitless.
Wait, I think I've seen this one (or at least something like it). I know there was a clip of Claudio doing what I can only describe as a flipping pinning powerbomb. Then again, we're talking about Ricochet and Claudio... the limit of what those two could do together is probably just short of breaking the laws of physics.
There was a similar destroyer off of a ladder in Insane Championship Wrestling involving Stevie Boy and Mikey Whiplash.
Mankind thrown off the Cell is definitely one of them😅
He got hurt the first time and the second time Taker thought Foley just died
I wouldn't consider it going as planned, Mick Foley just destroyed himself for our entertainment even more than what wrestling normally does
@@heylolp9 second time was absolutely not to plan
Hell we are still talking about it
@@aliciasimmons8473 yessir. The single most shocking moment in all of wrestling history
@@omarvazquez3355 of course it is that was insane I thought he died being thrown off the cell
John Morrison's ladder moonsault is a very underrated spot
All those spots remind me of Undertaker vs Shane at WrestleMaina inside Hell In A Cell when Shane decided to jump off the top and Taker just gets up and moves off the announce table
Funny thing is both Rock and Roman are right handed and made those catches with their left hand.
Right handed people naturally catch left handed baseball if your right handed means you throw with right hand so naturally your catching with your left hand!
@@fifelife6193 yeah but don't you have to train for that? Or does it just come as a natural reflex? I honestly don't know, I never played baseball, I'm not even sure we play it in my country.
For most people its natural to be able to catch with either hand ... unless you have poor hand eye coordination.
But considering we are talking about pro athletes essentially it's not as impressive as you might think.
@@BlackWind-rx5il I naturally try to catch with left hand but probably cause I played baseball for like 15 years. But if your any sort of athletic it pretty easy to catch, like I played baseball but find catching a football 🏈 easy. Comes down to hand eye coordination which you can train at.
@@fifelife6193 yeah and in baseball you wear mitts that essential make your left hand gigantic to compensate. and absorb impact of course. it can do 2 things!
when i played ball i would have more than happy to have caught with my right hand if it wouldn't have resulted in turning my bones to dust.
Me and my buddies in hs saw brooklyn 4. We flipped our shit when we saw the cole spot
Benjamin was seriously underused. He was an amazing talent
Evan Bourne's face at 10:19!!! LMAO!!!
Shelton Benjamin is one of the most undervalued wrestlers in WWE history. Man should've had at least 2 title runs. He was that damn good.
I was gonna throw my phone if Orton wasn't #1 on your list, thanks
Great list tho surprised not to see Edge spearing Hardy at mania!
That's the spot referenced at the beginning. It didn't go properly.
Jeff was supposed to tightrope across the ladders, jump and swing from the belts and get speared.
Instead he topples from the last ladder, falls, has to reset the ladder, climb up, grab the belts, have Devon pull the ladder away and then swing into position for Edge.
The spear was great but everything leading up to it was a complete failure
The CGI sweat added to Shane was just *chef's kiss*
Elix skipper tna cage spot HAS to be on here
Shawn Micheals vs Shelton Benjamin on raw. he throws shelton who goes over the top rope and lands on the apron, then springboards into the ring only for HBK to hit him with a crack shot Superkick, and benjamin's head snaps back before he falls like he was just shot.
Yeah, if there was anybody still in doubt, I think that Royal Rumble spot is what convinced _everybody_ that Rhea is a uniquely talented wrestler. Pulling something like this off after going through the entire rumble? That's just insane.
Rocky's Nightstick catch and Roman's mic catch are legit both their career highlights.....
Well that promotion formerly known as TNA comment aged poorly quick lol. Great vid
Brock Lesnar's Shooting Star Press to Kurt Angle at WM 19 is way memorable
Especially in the context of Kurt Angle's insane TNA iMPACT Moonsault from the top of a cage onto Mr. Anderson!😂😮🎤🇺🇸🤼♂️B.W.
yea but it was botched
so def not according to plan haha
That's not the point of the video though...
Jericho and Mysterio at the bash I reckon is good
Just 9 hours later and the video is out of date
TNA is back!
"If you asked me that same question on a day that I hadn't taken crack..."
This line broke me.
How about the match between HBK and Shelton Benjamin on Raw where Benjamin leaped off the top rope into sweet chin music or ricochet and Logan Paul's spot in the 2023 royal rumble match maybe a part 2 to this video?
Ricochet and adam spot was PERFECT
good video
"On a day I hadn't taken crack" beautiful, pacitti
Seamus brogue kick to riddle at mania
Hate being "that guy" but the table destroyer had been done before All Out. ICW Fear & Loathing X in 2017, Stevie Boy Xavier (Alba Fyre's husband, FYI) did that during the King of Insanity deathmatch to Mikey Whipwreck (a match also with Chris Renfrew and Jimmy Havoc). Odd match to reflect on now given the reps of half the competitors but was a decent spectacle and an amazing sight live. Still an awesome spot at All Out, that being said 😅
Kalistos solida del sol on top of the ladder through another ladder to one of the usos should of been there
This was the first thing I thought of when I saw this video's title.
5:10 it didn't even take 1 day for this to be outdated 🤣
There's so many more that can make a list like this
Thanks 🎉
Honorable mention Shawn sweetchin Shelton on raw
1:38 👀
Jeff Hardy and Edge 20ft spear has gotta be here lol
How is #1 not Foley going off the top of Hell In A Cell through a table?
Nothing more English than thinking us Aussies drink fosters beer haha... FYI none of us drink that except when we have absolutely no other option. Saying that though we are Australian so we always have other options 😂
No one ever reads the fine print on the can: "product of Canada"
It feels illegal to be this early
We dont drink Foster's for the record
Stone Cold always catching his beers
i never saw him drop 1
Ken Shamrock had not yet joined the Corporation at Survivor Series. Rock made an awesome catch though
"A combination of bad business, bad booking and Bad Hulk Hogan drove it into the ground."
Just another day of wrestling.
Not playing the clips is a tragedy.
cant due to copyright
Should do a video on ambitious spots that didn't work lol
Haven’t seen this video yet but if the ddt from Rey vs Eddie Halloween havoc isn’t here it ain’t a valid video
Edit alright I’m glad it was mentioned
HBK's superkick on Shelton Benjamin prob should have made this list
Pachitti ur the goat u vs simon miller in a list off
remember when Christian was on a ladder n instead of falling he managed to balance on the top rope n pressed himself up back to the top of the ladder?
Bubba ray and matt hardy going through the 4 tables at the same time, if they're just a bit off 1 would be seriously injured! Probably why they never tried that spot again with 2 people lol
Did I miss the HBK/Shelton Benjamin spot? Thought for sure it was going to be number 1.
It was good, but imo Richocets spot beats it out
Currently known as impact but will be TNA again
Just sad that we have pictures instead of the actual footage. It makes the video seem like a power point presentation :(
About the fosters part on the Ripley one, none of us Australians drink that shit 🤣
whaaaaaat? are you saying commercials *lie?* that's not true, that's impossible!
@@miguelnewmexico8641 it's bigger in the US than it is here lol
"the promotion formerly known as TNA" and then they changed the name BACK to TNA like, what, the day after this vdeio was uploaded? that is such cruel timing!
“Taken Crack” lol.
You sweet sweet soul ❤
Wrestlemania 31 RKO is still the best spot ever
Adam please tell me you're taking the piss with that fosters joke.. please tell me you don't actually think we drink the stuff..
Love the commitment to the Sweaty McBollocks joke... And, although I hate to be 'that guy', no Strayans actually drink Fosters. We export that rat's piss to you all and sneakily giggle when you all label it 'Australia's beer' - I'm curious whether the joke would have worked as well if it was Emu Bitter, Swan Draught, or VB that was exported to you all instead, as they're all some variant of rodent urine too...
Also, what a different 12ish hours make between the video going up and my watching it, with Impact's rebranding to TNA announced in between - dirty bastards scooping y'all and making you look a mite bit silly...
you're the geniuses that decided to have it represent you. no one i know of drinks Foster's over here either, and everyone thinks it's you guys' favorite thing ever, methinks we're not the punchline...
As an Aussie Foster's is a No. We don't drink that swill
Yoooooo homeboy does crack?!
1. Skipper or Benjamin should've been number one. The stomp RKO wasn't actually that technically impressive or risking serious injury. Skipper and Benjamin had to risk it every time they took a step even before sticking the landing. Cole and Ricochet should've been in third after them.
2. Shane vs Taker wasn't that bad. It even got "This is awesome" chants before the spot.
3. It is an absolute crime that neither Kofi nor Shelton have ever won MITB or the Rumble after all they've done.
half the stuff Kommander is doing could be on the list.
Videos are great but without actual footage it loses allot
No mention of Penta doing the destroyer spot to Dante and his ankle spinning around the wrong way.
i guess we're just forgetting angelico's dives in lucha underground now huh
Daytime wm matches are werid
🕵️♀️
How about the NXT Pounce by Keith Lee that erased Adam Cole in record time?😂😏🎤🤼♂️B.W.
Australians don't actually drink fosters!!!!
We Aussies don't drink piss (fosters beer)
i've drank piss by mistake. multiple times. don't ask. the worst beer i've ever had still tasted better than piss. wouldn't recommend it.
@@miguelnewmexico8641 it's a sin to say that Aussies drink fosters beer
still doing commentary videos instead of posting actual video clips in 2023 is crazy how is this channel still popular
you spend way too much time on the internet.
I can't listen to this voice over 😢
IS IT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR THE ACTUAL CLIPS OF THOSE MOMENTS INSTEAD OF SOME POOR ASS POWERPOINT PRESENTATIONS?
If you want to see said video, yes. They can't play clips as they will incur the wrath of WWE/youtube copyright system
Go to the street corner your mom works at and hope one of the Johns accidentally gave her a 5... then go buy the network, kid.
@@Julian-xj6mh I can watch the shows no problem, I'm just saying that it is better to see the actual spots rather than just showing some pictures.
@@SubparRobotWars there are many ways to bypass that. Copyright disclaimer, mirror screening, removing audio, etc.
@@Julian-xj6mh ok, that's just uncalled for.
For god sake, Australian don’t drink fosters damnit
Rhea Ripley wouldn’t go anywhere near a Fosters. We send that terrible stuff over to you lot so we don’t have to drink it.
