trading down for Bougault is proving to be a disaster to the cap when Wallstedt should be the No. 1 tender taking over for Skinner in a yr. They should be trading for Askarov right now.

Preds dude here. It looks like everybody outside of Nashville automatically assume Preds want to trade Askarov because Wedge arrived as the nr.2.
I can assure you, with Preds leadership's glasses on, that is not necessarily the case at all. That is not to say that Askarov will not be traded.
But I believe that will be more on Askarov and the ppl around him to instigate. Preds have concluded that Ask 'is not yet ready for regular NHL play'.
His talent is highly apprechiated though, and he played great for the Admirals last year. So hard with these Goalies. 'When are they ready'.
Enough of examples on how to run a young talented goalie into the ground and destroy him. (Looking at you, Pens, Flyers, Sabres etc)
Ofc a lot of players would die to get a chance going to Oilers with that super-stacked roster atm. I firmly believe Ask should do another AHL-season
with some visitations up to NHL-level. Things can change in an instant. Preds have run Saros too hard since Rinne left imo. He has regularly been
in the area of +-65 games during regular season. On a mediocre team. Leafs destroyed Freddie that way and Preds have been lucky that
Saros hasnt taken too many injuries. I'd much prefer that we keep Ask here. Lets see how things fan out
