Sonic Wood is a multi-effects for acoustic guitar. It has 4 carefully selected effects, that are the most needed by any acoustic guitar player. A true one-stop solution for the acoustic guitar stage.
It gives you 4 essentials for acoustic guitar playing: a PREAMP, a CHORUS, a DELAY, and a REVERB.
PREAMP is base on a classic acoustic guitar amplifier. It can bring your tone to a warm, natural sound.
CHORUS is pretty suitable for the acoustic sound. Add it to make your tone richer.
DELAY is analog-voicing. It runs on digital algorithms, but they sound analog.
REVERB is the easiest one to control. But its effect is definitely not simple.
Sonic Wood has TAP TEMPO and TAIL functions. You can use these functions to control some things more delicately. It also has an XLR OUT for you to send the balanced signal to your sound card or PA mixer.

Awesome pedal
Good video, great equipment. Sonicake are tremendous. I recently got the Acoustic Factory Pedal for less than £30 ( 30 English pounds) and it is an awesome piece of kit folks. Their stuff is well worth checking out. Happy playing people 🎶.
Only thing I wish this would’ve had was a tuner on it. And it would’ve blown my mind !! Especially as a church musician. It’s a great little set up. Really cool.
I've been using the Sonic Wood for two years now, I like the transparency of the preamp, you really have to hear it live to appreciate it. Effects wise, it's on par with other mid range brands (TC Elec, NUX), everything I need is right there on the floor. I did a side by side with my Boss DD-20 Giga Delay pedal, which is my favorite pedal and most used effect on acoustic, the Delay on the Sonic Wood is on par with the Standard Delay mode on my Boss DD-20, in other words it works fine as a delay just as much as any other name brand Delay, figuring that Delay's haven't changed much over the decades.
The Sonicwood is a power packed minimilist option that is built like a tank and everything on the pedal works, my only gripe about the pedal is that I wish it came with the option to turn off the lighted knobs, better click/tick markings on the knobs, and an FX Send/Return like on the Boom would have been nice, but hey for what you get for around $85 bucks or less, your winning here, even if you don't use it on your main board I highly recommend it for travel, practice, or to keep on hand as a back up.
Did some research on the 9v battery and, as the device draws 120 mah according to their website, that should get somewhere around 4-5 hours from an alkaline or 10 from a lithium. Thinking I might make an adaptor for mine soon... Not really that big a deal is I figure I'll need power for the amp anyway.
a compressor would be nice to have in there also to help tame the piezo precussive quacks.
I agree... You can get a Body Rez, that does the trick to tame those piezo quacks.

Any buzz or electronic hum from the 9 Volt power ? Is the power supply included ?
Power supply was included, never had any feed back or buzzing problems with mine. But if you have any problems like if you think you got a dud, Sonicake does have great customer service, people who have had issues got quick assistance and replacements from the reviews I've read.
