Why is the drawing - room in our home called by this name?

- It is difficult to understand why we call the drawing-room in our home by this name because the word “draw” does not seem to be relevant. We don’t draw anything in this room nor are visitors naturally drawn (attracted) towards this room. This video explains the weird reason why this expression came about in the English language

Baithak is synonymous with Drawing room however with different connotations. I really enjoy the manner in which Mr Prakash Shesh explains simple things in complex ways and Vice versa Out of the box
