Yeah, Solar used to strain a but but shes trained herself out of it. Honestly, shes up there for most improved kpop stars - on top of the singing, shes not a natural dancer but could slay a dance floor these days, and she struggled with leadership and didnt manage the groups personalities well but learnt on the job and their relationships are amazing these days. Love her.
I would nominate Moonbyul for that award, too. She was no slouch when she did In My Room, but she is amazing now.
Also, If I remember correctly, this is like a year and a half after their debut. They just keep getting better and better.

Recently watched the mycon documentary with moomoos from my city. I don’t know any of them but the sense of community was so strong. We exchanged merch we made ourselves and then took a group photo together.
The cutest parts were some moomoos brought their older parents (like senior citizens) and they ended up also being fans at the end!
@@rainecolubio Having listened since I was a child (four decades ago), for so many pleasent reasons, to great music and great artists, from very different eras ( generally not contemporaries to me), I learned that, enjoying this is not related to age but to quality.
Due to the above, it is natural to become a fan of these four Great Artists, who when they met (for a decade or a little more) decided called themselves Mamamoo.
No other kpop gg can do this like MAMAMOO. They're just on another level. The fact that this 11 minute/nonstop/live performance is in the middle of their concert?! Like how can they sustain such energy and stamina to maintain it that long? (especially with songs that are vocally heavy where they almost always belt their lungs out). I'd say MAMAMOO IS THE MOST TALENTED GIRLGROUP EXISTING TODAY. PERIOD🔥

@@reneesalinasI think there are parts they shown in the press call. There are some clips available online but a recording of the entire musical is not available.
@@reneesalinas The best we get is Solar recorded herself singing one of the songs from the musical on her end of year karaoke. Next there were a couple of practice videos released of the entire cast for a couple of different songs. Lots of press content, interviews and backstage type videos. I have seen fancams taken during the musical but not many and only clips of things.

Right after your remark about how good the crowd sounds, the most amazing crowd control happens when Moonbyul shushes the crowd and there is dead silence.
What's so sad is Mata Hari is a really good musical that is popular in many places in the world but not in the US. (Hunchback of Notre Dame and Jekkyl/Hyde are a couple of others along with Honk).

Moonbyul is an amazing vocalist as well. She wasn't confident at that time and she wasn't allowed to sing as much. In her solo project she has released songs displaying her vocals. I personally like "absence". She also covered a song that u should react to, this is refuge. Moonbyul- Refuge.
The name of the girl in the pink suit is Solar and is the leader of the group, she is usually very self-demanding when it comes to giving a show, or any project, she always gives 200%. We love her, she already does amazing singing, but that's just the way it is haha.
I love to see the reactions to any Mamamoo show, I love to see their amazed faces hehe.

When you talked about how important it is to trust your group and know they won’t make fun of you if you make a mistake I remembered that one time Solar’s voice cracked in a performance and the others couldn’t stop laughing 😂😂😂 They love teasing their leader but you’re absolutely right, at the end of the day they have each other’s back through thick and thin and it shows through on stage. ❤
yea solar strains sometimes but this concert last around 3 hours so I'm sure they were tired before doing this 14 minute straight performance. She has def improved over the years but I will say that wheein has the best technique in the group it has stayed relatively consistent over the years. Solar was in a musical not sure if there is any footage of it since recording isn't aloud but it got good reviews. Along with red velvet they are considered some of the best vocal idol groups in the game!

If you want more, they have individual performances of all these songs and even more of them. They did like 15 episodes when the show aired, and they are all amazing.

This performance is from one of their 2017 Moosical Curtain Call concerts, probably the first one, which would make it only the 5th concert of their career. Sure they did lots of performances of single songs or a few songs but sustaining this level of excellence throughout a 2 1/2+ hour long concert is a different kettle of fish altogether (like a sprinter running a marathon) and yet they performed like seasoned vets who'd been doing this for years and had the audience wrapped around their collective finger. Their bff group chemistry is off the charts and they've only gotten better since then, including Solar, the one in pink. You're not the only trained singer or vocal coach to notice that she sometimes strains while belting, esp during their first couple of years. Her technique has improved and thankfully she never hurt herself along the way. Mamamoo extended the length of their annual concerts to 4+ hours with the 4 Seasons F/W concerts in 2019, their last pre-pandemic concerts, which included 15-25 minute solo stages for each of the members. In that concert Solar started her solo set with a cover of Celine Dion's My Heart Will Go On and had the brass balls to follow it up with her own self-composed ballad Hello before turning up the heat with Peggy Lee's Fever and finished by burning down the house with a medley of Ting Ting's Shut Up and Let Me Go and BTS's Fire that included aerial work as she showered everyone with fake money while flying over the audience. She ended Fire by ripping off her shirt and using it to wipe the sweat off her face before tossing it to some lucky person in the audience. I hope you get the chance to see Mamamoo live in concert, tho I wouldn't expect them to be quite as dramatic as they were back in 2019. They recently wrapped up their first US tour and I feel very fortunate to have had the chance to see them twice after waiting 6 years for the opportunity.
What were you asking for at the end? You said it twice and I replayed it but still didn't get the word - was it "covers"? Sorry if it's my old ears or just an American not understanding your dialect. If you were asking for links to their original performances of these songs on the Immortal Songs 2 tv show I'm sorry again but they appeared on IS2 14 times between 2015-19 and I'm not going to link them all. Just do a yt search on Mamamoo Immortal Songs and you'll find them easily but don't react to them or the tv network will block you. They're all spectacular but I'll give you links to two of my favorites - their radical rearrangement of the k-version of the old Tom Jones hit Delilah from the 60's and the stunning k-ballad Backwoods.

In this round of Queendom the assignment was to perform a song recommended by their fans and MMM took the spirit of the fan round to heart by turning I Miss You into a love song to moomoos (MMM fans) including a new rap verse by Moonbyul.

@@josebm1783 I love Love. I love them all but Delilah was the first one I saw and it turned me into an instant moomoo and Backwoods was the first one that made me cry so those two have a special place in my heart. :)

Aaah, I understand you very well. The first participation I saw from Mamamoo in Immortal Songs 2, was "Love", which fascinated me because obviously, their great harmonies. The next one that caught me, because of the joy that is seen, they have when singing it is "The way to Sampo" (Hwasa's "wooow" is enough, when she achieves some notes almost at the end, as an example of what I mention), especially because I decided to look for the original version and have even more elements to enjoy it. Also of course, I gave chills and love Backwoods performance (I still found original versions and they undoubtedly take it to another level, as almost always with her covers), "Passion flower", "You in my faded memories" and so on.
It is undoubtedly a great delight to listen each one of their Immortal songs 2 presentations, over and over again. Thank you for your response and keep up the good work and still love and enjoying Mamamoo!
@@josebm1783 Thanks. You're right. Esp with the old songs you have to listen to the original version to fully appreciate the artistry Mamamoo brings to their covers. Another example is when they made Kola cry with their cover of Gloomy Coincidence on Sugarman. :)
as musical person you are..check out all their "immortal songs performances" the actual show...it was 9 performances in this competition show. They won 3-4 times. They were the first kpop girl group invited due to their reputation for vocals. All their performances were epic and even tops this performance here. Clarification: they were the first girl group invited _as an entire group._ I know for a fact Luna and Amber from f(x) did IS2 a couple of times as a duo before Mamamoo. My favorite of hers was "In Vain"...I _cannot_ believe she didn't win that episode! She left everything on the floor, and was _robbed._ I may be biased but I'm not wrong. Luna was on about half a dozen times, all told.
You have to check out Moonbyul (the rapper in these video) cover Refuge. She sang it live in a vocal competition and made her competitors and multiple judges cry on the spot. Her vocal is insanely, stupidly good as well. She can easily beat many other group main vocalist if she want really.
Thank you for reacting to Mamamoo again! I had the honor of watching them live on their US tour about a month ago and amazingly they are even better in person! I haven’t heard of any plans for a european tour as Mamamoo but I do know that Mamamoo+ (a subunit of Solar and Moonbyul) are going to Warsaw in September lol

You should react to some of Moonbyul's (the rapper) solo stuff to see her full range. I'm personally a fan of the song shutdown for its amazing vibes.
Solar had the lead role in Mara hari. There are videos out there from that. Also mamamoo+ latest release had a musical theater vibe. The mini album was even called act one. The mv for the song Chico Malo was basic like a theatre stage.
Add they did all that without stopping or like 14 minutes, with choreo and still sounded that good all the way to the end. This specific performance has a second video of just the song Delilah Tom Jones cover a lot of english bit also korean its about 6 minutes and they do everything vocally in it. There are other immortal songs performances as well, many of the same covers. They are also wont immortal songs more than any other full group. Mentioned already in comments Solar was the lead actress in the musical mata hari, there are no videos of the performance, just fan cams and practice ones. However, On Solar's youtube solarsido, she posted a video titled end of year karaoke, in it is one song from mata hari, also a really good cover of the franki valli song cant take my eyes off you. Another good medley with 2 full songs is recent, from the Hwasa show, mamamoo appeared on an episode and they sang 1llella live and paint me one of the most beautiful ballads ever and in between a medley of mamamoo songs and solo songs.

They're both good and fun to watch in their own ways.

You can't really hear it well so a lot of people doesn't notice, knows? I can say that here isn't because of that it's more because of the meaning of what she's singing, among all video i watched of this perfomance unless you know it's really hard to hear it
