What's crazy is that Mamamoo has been considered the best vocal girl group in Kpop since 2014, and even now no girl group has dethroned them. They've set the standard for live vocals for a whole ass decade!
Finally a new mamamoo video made to top purple hawke. Please check out new video " why MAMAMOO is the most underrated kpop group" Its better then netflix mamamoo documentary. Its so detailed and deep about even how they contributed to political and oppression of women and others rights..amazing video 26min made in english narration. Please react to it..its best ive seen since being a moomoo 6 years. @@alongfortheridereacts
Mamamoo are definitely the vocal queens of kpop, but this entire compilation is from their participation in a program called Immortal Songs where the great vocalists of Korea participate and where very few kpop groups have participated. Mamamoo has participated 14 times and the first ones still did not have Not even a year after debuting, they are also the only Kpop group that has won this program 3 times, they even became known as the daughters of Immortal Song, all of those songs are covers of old Korean songs, that's what the program is about. The group's true discography is immense and has all kinds of genres from hip hop, pop, funky to rock, jazz, ballads and bosanova, never knows what kind of music they are going to release, in addition to the fact that all four have successful solo careers with multiple albums each one. Believe me, they can also give you a choreographed show full of dancers, but their voices will also be spectacular, having concerts that last up to 4 hours or so. In addition, they have absolute creative freedom over their product. If they don't like something, it is changed and if something occurs to them, it is done. Nothing is imposed on this group. It is also the female group with the most credits for their music in history and the only female group in the top 10 overall, they have Moonbyul (the rapper) who is the most credited female artist in the history of kpop with more than 110 songs to their credit. name.
110 songs!!? That's amazing! Their talents are even more impressive than we realised!! We fully believe you that no matter what is going on in their performance their vocals will also be spectacular - they just seem so unbelievably talented!! We can't wait to get to know them all better
@@alongfortheridereacts Actually Moonbyul has 117 songs credited but the rest of the girls also have a few songs credited. And yes, mamamoo is really talented in many aspects inside and outside of music, like Wheein for painting and Moonbyul for photography, plus they all can play at least one instrument, but something that moomoo loves apart from his incredible talent is bond between the members and their personalities, they see themselves as family and treat each other as such, they have already been a group for 9 years and if we add the years of training they are 12 and although they have strong personalities and are super different from each other, they fit together very well and they adore each other, in addition to being extremely crazy and fun.
Nice info about the show and I totally agree about mamamoo's discography being so vast and varie; however, I think Ateez now holds the record for kpop group with the most Immortal Songs wins.
The real strength of mamamoo is their amazing group dynamics. Each member is a solid vocalist with unique strength but when they come together, they sound like a single unit. There is no other Kpop group like them.
No other group can do this. There i said it. 😂❤ But seriously they're incredible both as soloists and especially as a whole group. Pls show a lot of love to them as you embark in this radish farm ❤ and be ready to be blown away more! 💥🤸🏼♀️
Guys their vocals hit different live it was the best experience of my life I’m barely 18 but I managed to see them perform 😊 it was the best decision of my life
Mamamoo is the only girl group who ever gave the "Big 3" girl groups a run for their money. Blackpink, Twice, and Red Velvet came from mega influential Kpop companies whose groups are guaranteed unbeatable success upon debut, yet Mamamoo constantly rivaled and often even beat out those groups despite coming from a tiny ass company. Essentially, Mamamoo was the wild factor that blindsided the Big 3. They built up their company from nothing and made a huge splash when it came to female empowerment in Korea.
It's a shame Mamamoo has been less active in recent years, because they very likely could've reached the heights that Blackpink and BTS did if they played their cards right. But the Mamamoo members are on their solo journeys right now, so hope you check them out. Wheein is making a comeback with her new album on October 12th. :)
The more we hear and read about how they've lifted up their company and empowered women in Korea, the more amazed and inspired we are. You can see why they'd give any girl group a run for their money and how they could attract the kind of global audience that the Big 3 have. It's also really clear that they've made their own path and made a genuine connection with moomoos and k-pop stans across the world. We. Want. More!!
Mamamoo are great, yes, but they are not the only group. During their rise (2016 to 2018), there were arguably 5 top girl groups, leading to the portmanteau of 'Treblemayo' for Twice, Red Velvet, Black Pink, Mamamoo, and Gfriend (Yeojachingu).
It's only been a year since I've joined the Moomoo family and every time I see their videos, I'm just blown away. There's not one member I dislike or feel doesn't deserve to be in the group. Each of these ladies are just so talented and versatile that it's insane. They truly are 4 soloists in one group that's so cohesive. One of the things that I love love love about this group is their friendship. You can feel the love in their songs and see it when they perform with one another. Their interactions are down right hilarious and wholesome. It's literally how 4 best friends who are forever family members interact.
That's so true! You can really see how connected they are - it comes across in the videos and on stage. It must be an amazing feeling for them to have found each other :-)
Loved watching you experience Mamamoo! Folks in the comments here have made some great suggestions for you. You're in for so many treats! One fun subset of songs you may enjoy checking out at some point are the ones they did for adverts - the songs/vids are so good that some reactors haven't realized they're ads, and the songs are so catchy they'd fit right in on a playlist. These include Woo Hoo, Everyday, Gleam, and Wanna Be Myself. Enjoy your journey down the delightful rabbit hole that is Mamamoo's catalogue. :)
Not a lot left for me to add except trivia! When they were first starting out, they were called Monster Rookies by insiders who saw their talent immediately. All four went through more than their fair share of rejection before getting in with RainbowBridgeWorld (RBW), with Solar saying she went to 40 or 50 auditions before getting picked, and was on the verge of giving up. They won several Rookie of the Year awards. They have more individual listeners on the Korean version of Spotify than any other girl group, Blackpink and Twice included. Hwasa is always getting hate/in trouble for something, doesn't matter what, but she has so many real fans now that it doesn't matter too much to her. She's called Queen Hwasa not for nothing. Hwasa actually has fans who are unaware that she is 1/4th of Mamamoo, which astounds me.
Lmao, i do love that you went silly mamamoo to vocal mamamoo. Usually it's the opposite. Moonbyul does take part in a four-part harmony at 4:42 btw. For recommendations killing voice probably would be next. It's a studio live medley of their biggest title tracks. But if you'd rather avoid spoilers. Mr ambiguous was their debut song. Illella their most recent. Hip their most popular. Decalcomanie, egotistic, and paint me are some of the fan favourites. If you want subtitles its best to always go to their main channel if you can. If you want to do a guide Purple Hawke's or MOO YT's are your choices. PH's usually wins because it has very cool/funny editing but tbh its very out of date at this point. And while less funny MOO YT's is still really solid. I also think PH's goes a bit too far trying to explain inside jokes for an introduction, but that's me. Either way you can't really go wrong. If you'd rather avoid the guide, but still want to get a feel for them individually, they each have solo work. From left to right in the order they are standing at the start of this video; Moonbyul - Eclipse (if you watch this one, it's important for the lyrics to know Byul translates to star, and she sometimes goes by Moonstar), Lunatic and C.I.T.T. Also, (not a title track but my personal fave) her performance video for absence. Solar - Spit it Out. Honey. Wheein - Easy. Goodbye. Water Colour. Hwasa - Twit. Maria (fan favourite). I'm A B. LMM. If i've overwhelmed you with too many suggestions/the wall of text and you'd rather go random. They did a live pokemon theme remix at a fan meet awhile back. Which really had no business going as hard as it did. Sorry for the info dump, i hope it's helpful.
Thank you so much for this. I think going in with silly Mamamoo was perfect for us. It suits us so well to see a group having so much fun and then to find out immediately that they're also just incredibly talented. My favourite thing about your comment is that after all of the very helpful recommendations you then tell us there's a Pokemon Theme remix!?!?!? Oh. My. God!! We're going to have to get to that one soon because I can hardly resist finding that right now at watching it on loop!! Haha
Waaah I love your reaction! I am always happy when others discover Mamamoo's live vocals. When I saw this video, I was also blown away. Knowing Mamamoo set my standards so high. Please do Mamamoo Dingo Killing Voice to hear snippets of their title tracks. You may also want to react to a Mamamoo Guide by Moo YT (Part 1: Members, Part 2:Group)
This video was really eye-opening for us. Aze Gag was the first song we'd ever heard from them, and it really hooked us in but... we were NOT ready for this!!
I wonder, did you expect that from the girls after you started with Aze Gag? :) I love Mamamoo's versatility. They started with what is the case with all KPop groups, with a concept and roles given by their company. But which was also unusually unique in terms of the musical genre, which no other group did. With the project 4 seasons, 4 colors, the focus changed and it became more tailored to their personalities. And their development in personal self-discovery and as artist continues, which can now be seen in their exciting solo phase. I find the whole very exciting to experience to be honest, even though I've only been moomoo for 2.5 years. Mamamoos strength, in addition to their vocals and performance qualities, is their personalities, special chemistry, naturalness and hard work to survive in this business. I also feel the connection between them and us fans is special, even that building such a connection is part of the 'business'... Nevertheless, it is often personal. It's as if Mamamoo and Moomoo's are writing this story together. I also feel connected to them because they share their hardships as well as their love for music is genuine, as you have probably noticed by now. :) Wish you two a pleasant journey through the Radish Univers. 💚✌️
Trust and believe in Mamamoo! Honestly, they were the first female group that I completely fell in love with and had to stan them immediately with Hwasa being my ult bias.
The rapper is actually great at singing! When’s she joined the group she was requested to be a rapper, because she was already a dancer. Plus, there were already three vocalist. While the rapper might be a little bit less versatile she can hit some pretty great notes! Makes sure to check out her singing video, especially on second world!!
This is a collection of classic Korean songs that they covered in the Immortal Songs 2 show. They incorporate some of the signature dance moves from the songs. They range from very old songs from the 1950’s to the hip hoppy song from the 1990’s. These are just a taste of the many songs they performed in the show. The full performances of these are amazing. I would recommend “Backwoods” (the first song they performed) and “Delilah” (a Tom Jones cover not in this medley) the most.
Thank you, that really helps us understand the context a bit better. We're in love with their dance moves and style almost as much as their vocals - it's great for us that there's so much music and content from the group for us to catch up on :-):-):-):-)
Welcome to the radish field! The rapper Moonbyul can belt high notes too. She did had a problem with her confidence when the company told her to be a rapper (despite being vocally trained) before debut and I'm happy to see her gain confidence now. It took her years. Please check out her performances from the reality show Second World.
@@alongfortheridereacts sorry I didn't said it clearly. I meant she wasn't confident singing again being in a vocal group with 3 of her members as vocal powerhouses. Though she did said she had a hard time in the beginning trying to fit as a rapper in the group too. She said she felt insecure and awkward just standing waiting to sing her rap part but the members where very supportive of her and showed her that it's not Mamamoo without her. It's also worth to mention that most if not all of their Immortal Songs does not have a rap from the original songs so Moonbyul had to write her own rap in them.
MAMAMOO now joins the ranks of Destiny's Child, The Spice Girls, and TLC as the ONLY girl groups to sell over 70,000 tickets on their FIRST tour in the USA. This makes MAMAMOO the ONLY girl group to achieve this milestone AFTER a 21-year gap. AND the only Non-English speaking girl group to accomplish such a feat. The MAMAMOO members are among some of the most-credited idols in K-Pop as of early 2023 - Moonbyul actually has the most songwriting credits of all 3rd generation female idols at 115(2nd most credited famale artist overall... Yoon Mirae at 139), since she writes her own raps(and more) in almost all of the group’s songs. As well as contributing to the songwriting in many of them as well. - Solar has 37 credits to her name. She wrote the lyrics and composition for her solo song, “Spit it Out”. Composer on "Honey". - Hwasa has 44 credits. The lyrics to her solo song, “María”, were praised for its inventive and meaningful wordplay. ("Somebody" w/Loco). - Wheein has 9 credits (that I can find, maybe more) UPDATE Aug 27/23 - Moonbyul 117 - Solar 41 - Hwasa 46
Incredible video especially considering these are all covers from their immortal songs win. All of them can sing though Moonbyul back in this era mainly just did rap but she does do some of the harmonies. There are a few songs where she sings, plus her solo work is mostly singing and Solar and Moonbyul's subgroup mamamoo+ has a lot of moonbyul singing. They can all rap also. Considering Mamamoo won this contest and many more, really there are not groups who can do what they do, they are known for extreme vocals and performance, they are so good, most KPOP companies use their songs as training material for new women and girls trying to get into this. Amazing as well is seeing Solar still belting the power and all of them with perfect vocals after about 12 minutes of non-stop singing and choreo. Their typical concerts are 3+ hours and they can do it to the end. and the radish stick is a moobong, that is what you want to buy. Takes a bit to obtain as they sell out.
It really is an incredible video. We had no idea it was at the end of a 4-hour concert... wow!! We're learning more about the group but everything we're findout out only makes them more and more impressive!! We will be keeping an eye out for a moobong as well :-)
From Aze Gag to Immortal Songs Medley? What a ride?! 😮 Moos had already given some amazing facts about our Queens, but I just want to add that there were no rap on these songs. Byul participated on writing lyrics and now you can't deny that these songs won't be complete without her raps. Plus each members shines uniquely on their own even they are on the group. Welcome to the radish farm! 🎉
Such an amazing ride!! We have 100% fallen in love with this group. Moonbyul is my favourite at the moment. Her raps are incredible and, even if they weren't in the originals, go perfectly in these songs. We cannot wait to continue our journey
Going from Aze Gag to this.... oh man, that's a big leap. So now you know they got personality, vocal skills, don't take themselves to serious, and unlike lots of other groups, they aren't just 4 people who are forced to work together but there is chemistry. E.G./ Wheein and Hwasa have been friends since middle school while Moonstar (rapper) and Solar (the belter) hang out with each very very frequently when not performing. Plus it's common knowledge that they support each other when doing solo projects, like sending cakes, coffee trucks etc. All 4 can sing, have composed, written lyrics, in the first few years did their own choreo... and unlike most groups, they actually seem to have a big say in everything. I also love that they aren't always 'on' as in that they do not mind being without makeup, wearing just something without it being 'high fashion', just being a person and not an idol. But most of all, this isn't a group with A vocalist and some that can be made to sound decent because of studio magic but is in the group solely because she is pretty or can dance really well, no ... these ladies can all sing and they have the succes full solo careers to prove it. Hwasa could melt a rock wiht her jazzy voice Wheein will take you to heaven and heal you Solar will blow you away with her passion, emotion and energy and you'll be happy about it Moonstar, whatever she does be it rapping, singing; or dancing, she does it her way and it's always a cool amazing way. Welcome to the raddish patch, enjoy the journey.
Welcome new baby Moomoo's. Good luck getting a moobong... i really want one too :( This medley was from a Mamamoo concert that probably went for 3-4 hours... How they keep their energy for it is amazing. Mamamoo has a very big collection of songs. They have been around since 2014, and all four of them have had multiple solo projects (wheein has a new album coming out in two days time... Hwasa released one about a month ago), colabs, covers, and even a subunit that has a large number of songs under their belt (mamamoo+ , who released an mini album this year). Last year, i think we counted about 54 unique songs from the girls and also kicked off their mic on world tour (which finished this year). Moonbyul, the rapper, won a singing competition last year, which helped get that count up pretty high. As far as recommendation, I think you might like to start from the beginning?? Maybe watch their Debut song MV "Mr Ambiguious" (OR lookout for the song Wheein releases this week)
Thank you for the kind welcome! :-) We had no idea that Wheein has a song releasing this week. I really hope we get the chance to react to that! The group has us hooked at this point though, so we'll definitely be reacting to lots more content very soon!
i'm sure people have already told you about this but moonbyul auditioned as a vocalist and initially wasn't keen on rapping. she mentioned a few times that she often felt left out when the other members got to showcase their vocals while she had to stand by and just rap one or two verses. however, moonbyul's experience in vocal training had helped her a lot with being a unique and versatile rapper who is able to write a suitable verse for any genre. despite being forced into the role, moonbyul took her job seriously and started writing her own raps and experimenting with her flows. if you want to hear moonbyul's vocals, i have a few recommendations. in mamamoo's songs, she sings in: - paint me - egotistic (just a short verse but it was good) - where are we now (there's a bunch of others but i can't recall all of them lol) she also has a solo where she focuses more on singing (although she still sticks to her rapper position and adds in a few rap verses): - eclipse - lunatic - absence (vocal-heavy) - worthless/love & hate - in my room - ddu ddu ddu (vocal-heavy) - for me (vocal-heavy) - intro: synopsis - shutdown - selfish - cheese in the trap
I can’t wait until you listen to all of their songs + solo work. Also, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mamamoo can cover anyone’s songs, but not just anyone can cover Mamamoo’s (I’ve seen some people try to cover their songs, but you can really tell that they have a hard time singing their songs)
Rewatching... just a little bit of info MAMAMOO(in 2023) joined the ranks of Destiny's Child, The Spice Girls, and TLC as the ONLY girl groups to sell over 70,000 tickets on their FIRST tour in the USA. This makes MAMAMOO the ONLY girl group to achieve this milestone AFTER a 21-year gap. AND the ONLY Non-English speaking girl group to accomplish such a feat.
Oh, and you asked if any other group could do this, and the answer is no! There is no other group like MAMAMOO! None. They were trained from the beginning to be 4 All around Artists, not just Idols, so they know how to, as you said hold the stage. They command the stage, as a group, and as solo artists (which they all are too), and they are so comfortable, that they just make people love them from the moment they see them. My husband and I were lucky enough to see them in concert, and my husband who only knew of them through me talking about them, absolutely fell in love with them, because he said he couldn't believe how spectacular their live vocals were, plus their stage presence, and how much fun they were live. He was hooked and considered himself a Baby MooMoo after the concert.
Wow! You two are so lucky being able to see them live. I can only imagine how incredibly powerful that must have been We've learned very quickly that this group is like no other!! We're so ready to explore more of their music and other content
Oh yes, we drove from Florida to Atlanta (over 12hours) and I would drive even farther if I had too! It was a once in a lifetime chance, and it was sooo worth it! I actually cried through the first 2 songs because I actually couldn't believe they were truly live, infront of me, because I never thought that was ever going to happen. They were beyond all expectations! I was also lucky enough to get a Hwa Sa autographed album, a MooBong (the radish light stick), along with other merch! If They ever come back close to me, or if Hwa Sa comes close to where I am, I will find a way to go! @@alongfortheridereacts
@@kimberly_nevillemy sister is a huge army, and a big fan of kpop. I am not so much, but am Korean American so I indirectly know everything that goes on. So can you guess her surprise when her brother (me) asked if she wanted to go to the Mamamoo concert? Lol she was shocked lol, but I turned her into a moomoo :) after all, it is a big brothers job to teach his baby sister the finer things in life
Recent concert they had, they performed each other's solo songs. You are already in awe of their musical talents...but to sing each other's solo songs and make it your own and still be great. Jaw dropping.
The Mamamoo fan stick, radish light, changes colors, and can flash at different speeds. Red is one of the colors, so you are good with the official stick.
When it comes to voice. Mamamoo is arguably the best group in Kpop. Some time ago people accused them of not knowing how to dance, so recently, in addition to singing above average, they have proven that they are also excellent dancers, their latest work involves very difficult dances, especially for a group that refuses to lip sync, the incredible is that they always sing live. I hope you watch Killing Voice.
They're all-round amazing. Some people will find any way they can to criticise, but I think it's very obvious that they can dance. Some of the moves are deliberately silly or light-hearted, but there's a difference between sometimes doing funny dances and not being able to dance!! In any case... we LOVE this group!!
Kpop has so many good groups, but, vocally, it is hard to find a female group where all members have great vocals. Mamamoo has gone through so much, from being considered, to old, short, fat, not pretty, to critized for their fashion but they shut those haters up and now are one of the best kpop groups, and one of the few where all members have successful solo careers. It took me years to actually give kpop a chance but after hearing my first Exo and Mamamoo song O have been hooked. You should check out the Tom Jones- Delilah cover they did on Immortal Song 2. It does tend to get blocked but even on your own ya'll should watch it.
They truly are inspiring. It really seems like they've done it the hard way with all the challenges they've faced, but to have come out of it with their identity, integrity and passion in tact is incredible
FYI, This clip is from the DVD of thier first Concert called Moosical 2016, just six months after their debut 2014 they were invited onto immotal song 2.
At this point this has probably been said.... This was for their 2017 concert, named ‘Mamamoo Concert Moosical: Curtain Call’ they picked their version of the songs they sang during the show "IMMORTAL SONGS", performing an Eleven-Minute long medley in the middle of a Four-Hour long concert. BTW Solar was Not happy with her last Belt... because she had to stop moving to finish it. Crazy woman, Love her.
I really enjoyed your reaction. Going to need to check more of your Mamamoo content. Don't let the rapper, Moonbyul, fool you, she can sing, but doesn't get a chance to showcase her vocals that much in the group. React to her solo content and performances on Second Word. You are so lucky to start the moomoo journey, you have so much great music ahead of you.
Many of the dancemoves and other oddities are throwbacks to their performances on the tv-show. Moonbyul does backing vocals and harmonies with the rest but during that period she didn't sing solo lines when in Mamamoo. Her solo stuff is mostly singing tho, and she's an amazing singer as well.
Great reaction guys, glad to see you also like Mamamoo! I suggest their Dingo Killing Voice.. You get a great impression of their personalities and a sample of their discography.... Keep it up!

J’ai vraiment adoré vos réactions et il est très difficile de vous faire une recommandation tellement leurs répertoires est diversifiées, j’aime tout ce qu’elles font. Humour avec Taller Than That, old school avec Mr Ambigous, fabulous balade avec Where are we now.
Notice how all the other walked away from Solar during the belt at the end ? Yeah that’s cuz Solar is super loud in real life too so probably best to not have their mics pick up that belt too 🤣
Welcome to the radish field, baby radishes! Fair warning: Once you Wheein you can't Whee-out! In case you don't know, Wheein was the member standing 2nd from the right when they started. Mamamoo's light stick is called a moobong. Before they had light sticks Korean moomoos used to show up at MMM events wearing radish masks and carrying real daikon radishes. Dorks R Us. Others have mentioned it I'm sure but to answer your question, yes, main rapper Moonbyul also sings extremely well, tho she didn't sing more than harmonies with the group until 2018. Since then she's become another weapon in their vocal arsenal and last year she won a landslide victory on a competition tv show to pick the best singer among 8 very talented girl group rappers. The Immortal Songs Medley was filmed at one of their 2017 concerts called Moosical Curtain Call. The previous year they had done their first solo concerts called Moosical, naturally. Dorks R Them. As I'm sure you've gathered already, they're serious artists who don't take themselves too seriously, which is one of the things that makes them so endearing besides the obvious attraction of their world class vocals. Since you love their live vocals in this medley you should watch all of their spectacular performances on the singing competition tv show Immortal Songs 2, however the tv network blocks reactions unless you obscure or filter the original video so you might want to binge watch them on your own time. They appeared on the show 14 times between 2015-19 performing covers of classic (immortal) songs, often as a tribute to an older artist who was present in the studio audience. My favorites are their radical rearrangement of the Korean version of the old Tom Jones hit Delilah and the gorgeous ballad Backwoods but they're all must see. Imo their three main original vocal masterpieces are I Miss You, Paint Me, and Where Are We Now. I'll give you links for each: I Miss You - no MV. Watch their performance on the Queendom competition tv show. Fortunately the Queendom tv network doesn't block reactions but I'll give you a link to a vid uploaded and subtitled by a moomoo whose yt channel is called Wheepup Channel (Wheepup is one of Wheein's nicknames lol): ua-cam.com/video/v44_ffYAj8s/v-deo.html Paint Me MV: ua-cam.com/video/20sOM7AlU3Y/v-deo.html Paint Me was a pre-release single from the first album in Mamamoo's landmark 2018-19 four album series 4 Season 4 Color, the most complex and ambitious project ever done by a girl group. Paint Me introduces all the major themes, concepts and cyclical symbolism used throughout the project. Where Are We Now MV: ua-cam.com/video/zzk09ESX7e0/v-deo.html WAWN is a 2021 song reminiscing about their 7 year journey together as they ponder their future. I'm sure other moomoos have suggested this so I'll add my voice to the suggestion to watch their 2020 15 minute medley of songs from throughout their career in the Dingo Killing Voice series. It's a great intro sampler. Have fun getting to know Mamamoo! 😂
We definitely don't want to Whee-out!! :-) "serious artists who don't have themselves too seriously" is a perfect description of what we've seen so far and what we love about them. Perfect! Thank you so much for the links and recommendations. Moomoos have been really supportive and seem so passionate about this group. It's hard not to fall in love
@@alongfortheridereacts You're welcome! Moomoos are happy to share the love and preach the good news from the moo gospel. lol Don't watch it right away but when you think you can't possibly love them more watch the live MV for their first love song to moomoos called I Love Too aka Never Letting Go (the Korean title), which is the fandom motto. Btw, for MMM MVs made prior to 2018 like I Love Too you have to go to MMM's yt channel and search there for the MV you want. A general search on YT will almost always direct you to the alternate MVs uploaded by Stone Music Ent, which aren't subtitled.
@@alongfortheridereactsit's very VERY difficult not loving mamamoo with fiery passion. Very few kpop groups can get away with not having catchy addictive choreography. Mamamoo on the other hand just needs to sing and have fun and every moomoo is satisfied
Thanks for reacting to them again. I loved this. Btw, imo it would be better if you'd let us see your reaction to them more by making it more like when you pause the vid while discussing.. It's a bit hard to see your reactions while the song is playing because it's too small. I think you'd also get less copyright claims/strikes if you make the window for vid you're reacting to smaller... But this is just my own opinion. I still really loved the reaction and wouldn't mind if you don't change a thing.
"Could any other group do this?"-- not a chance. Nothing against other groups, but most other groups benefit from really strong music production and outsized marketing spending. Mamamoo will always be first and foremost about the talent of the members as musicians, vocalists, and performers. It's why they have such massive respect from people in the music industry (not just all their contemporaries, but many older artists and producers/songwriters), even if they aren't as popular as several other groups. Since y'all are pretty deep in the radish hole now, I feel like its a good idea to listen to "I Love Too", a song to their fans composed by all of the members. The live one on their UA-cam channel is a great one. Another important listen is "Star Wind Flower Sun", a song Solar wrote to the group. A good performance for that would be from their 2019 concert (look up the title of the song and "4Season" for a version with english subtitles). These are THE songs for the fans, and you could knock them both out in one video haha.
Awesome group, awesome performance, awesome reaction 👍 To get you started I recommend another must-watch video, which is their "Killing Voice" performance on "dingo music". There they sing small parts of their own songs this time. After that, I recommend one of the best guides out there called "Introducing Mamamoo (reupload from Purple Hawke)". It's 2 videos.
Thank you! We're definitely going to have to look at a guide soon. Killing Voice has been recommended a bunch too... thank you for making sure it stays top of the list :-)
The rapper actually an amazing singer/ vocalist who can easily knock most of other groups’ main vocals out of the park. It’s just her role as a rapper make her sing less. She actually is one of the best rappers if not the best in Kpop. But she won vocal competition before. Here’s the link of one of her vocal performances that made the judges and her conpetitor cry on the spot literally: ua-cam.com/video/xdg6jpzy_6I/v-deo.htmlsi=VIUJhRlKU6Tr8PZC Since the lyrics of this song is very deep, I recommend check the lyrics first before listening (the video show behind her are people from differents industry saying one reason that make they keep go on: friends, family, etc) Mamamoo is one of the rare grop that each members has a very successful solo career. They do held their own solo concert as well. The rapper has multiple solo vocal song/album. Mamamoo concerts are like you get 5 concert in 1 - Each members has their own solo stage then group performance
Everything we hear about this group makes them more and more amazing! Moonbyul is currently my favourite member of the group... though it's too early to declare a bias! :-)
you should react to all of their performances on this competition show called immortal songs. this video has full versions of the songs in the medley you just heard plus performances you haven't seen before: ua-cam.com/video/r2GQ5ayqoXQ/v-deo.html
search so hyang a korean christian singer. u might like them also petra n maybe the begin again series... and dont forget the ladies before mamamoo big mama
along the ride.. if u are looking for another top tier artist, checkout sibling duo known as AKMU on killing voice on dingo.. as it shows their meddley of hits on that platform .. brother writes their songs and sister has to die for vocals
Thank you so much for the recommendation. I haven't heard of AKMU so they'd be one I'd be excited to check out. You don't see many sibling duos, so I'm fascinated to find out more. Really appreciate you for the suggestiong!
thank you along for the ride reaction..think your ready for guide: recommend 1/ introduction to mamamoo by purple hawke pt1: Solar/moonbyul Pt2: hwasa /Wheein this guide older but best one as it shows their funny personality better and its longer then other ones. 2/ recommend mamamoo on killing voice on dingo (live medley shows their vocals and discography hits.. equal to this performance on here in epicness.
i am on the ride with ur guys for mamamoo..def go with the guide next purple hawke (more funny)..youll fall for them they're so unique and chaotically funny
Yeah we feel really lucky to have found these two amazing groups. So much talent... it almost seems unfair, until you realise how much work they put into their talents!! :-D
@@alongfortheridereacts very true. For years Mamamoo had to do their own makeup, choreography, and outfit selections as they vame from a very small company. On their first performance they only had 3 people come watch them and they performed on the streets and festivals to reach people. Immortal Songs helped so much in introducing them to many people. Even though I've known about Mamamoo for a few years I was still amazed by their vocals when I went to their concert in May. As for Exo, yes, they put in so much work behind the scenes. Some think coming from a top 3 entertainment company means Exo had it easy but that is not true. They to have gone through their fair share of adversity. Yet they have come out the other side even better. Hope you can get a Moobong. If not, let me know seeing as I have an extra one 🙂
Great reaction! If you guys do end up doing a guide I personally recommend the one made by MOO YT. The Purple Hawke guide is great, and loved for a good reason. But its *very* outdated at this point. I also prefer MOO YT's real voice narration over the robotic one of Purple Hawkes'. Lastly MOO YT also has a 2nd part of her guide where she talks about the groups history in detail. All that being said, either one is a valid choice :) Just wanted to give my opinion on it
What's crazy is that Mamamoo has been considered the best vocal girl group in Kpop since 2014, and even now no girl group has dethroned them. They've set the standard for live vocals for a whole ass decade!
That standard is CRAZY high... I can't imagine anyone would topple them
Finally a new mamamoo video made to top purple hawke. Please check out new video " why MAMAMOO is the most underrated kpop group" Its better then netflix mamamoo documentary. Its so detailed and deep about even how they contributed to political and oppression of women and others rights..amazing video 26min made in english narration.
All of them are main vocals, rappers, songwriters, composers, producers, choreographers and more!!!
The most talented female group of Kpop
We fully believe it!! We're a couple of baby radishes :-)
The real strength of mamamoo is their amazing group dynamics. Each member is a solid vocalist with unique strength but when they come together, they sound like a single unit. There is no other Kpop group like them.
Very true! K x
Welcome to mamamoo world... 😊😊😊❤❤
Thank you!! :-) We're very happy to be here
Mamamoo’s paint me, destiny, and I miss you.. these are the best vocal songs of them..
Thank you!! We're so excited to keep exploring this group
Where are We Now, Decalcomanie, and Better are some honorable mentions :)
No other group can do this. There i said it. 😂❤ But seriously they're incredible both as soloists and especially as a whole group. Pls show a lot of love to them as you embark in this radish farm ❤ and be ready to be blown away more! 💥🤸🏼♀️
We're ready... but also VERY not ready!! We love this group, but we've been surprised by them so much already we have no idea what to expect
Guys their vocals hit different live it was the best experience of my life I’m barely 18 but I managed to see them perform 😊 it was the best decision of my life
Their Immortal Songs
Medley always leaves
me breathless.
Welcome to MAMAMOO World
MAMAMOO is love! ❤❤❤❤
We're here for it!
The first one is my favourite out of their Immortal Song covers. It made me tear up by how beautiful it is
Mamamoo is the only girl group who ever gave the "Big 3" girl groups a run for their money.
We. Want. More!!
We're super excited for this comeback!!!
@jerrylane8351 black pink yes but bts are just on different scale
I honestly think mamamoo is the best girl group and deserves so much more
It's only been a year since I've joined the Moomoo family and every time I see their videos, I'm just blown away.
We're so ready to dive deep! You're right, we've had some amazing recommendations
It's so astounding that so many companies turned these amazing performers down. It's lucky for us that they found each other in the end :-)
If you'd rather avoid the guide, but still want to get a feel for them individually, they each have solo work. From left to right in the order they are standing at the start of this video;
Moonbyul - Eclipse (if you watch this one, it's important for the lyrics to know Byul translates to star, and she sometimes goes by Moonstar), Lunatic and C.I.T.T.
Haha
they're perfect group..so talented and such dorks and ridiculous ..cant wait when u check their c]variety stuff and solo careers..
There's just so much!! The recommendation that you (and others) have given are all really useful
I love Mamamoo's versatility.
Wish you two a pleasant journey through the Radish Univers. 💚✌️
fell in love with their massive talent and shining personalities, would love to indulge myself alongside you guys on your MMM journey!
We're really excited about the journey and glad to have you along for the ride :-)
Trust and believe in Mamamoo! Honestly, they were the first female group that I completely fell in love with and had to stan them immediately with Hwasa being my ult bias.
An absolute Queen!
Moonbyul is an early front runner for my personal bias in this group. The more I see and hear about hear, the closer I get to confirming it!
@@alongfortheridereactsDefinitely watch her performance on Second World. It's epic, especially the finale.
Wow! I would never have guessed she wasn't confident as a rapper. She seems incredible now! What a talent
Ah, I get it now! In any case, you're right that it's not Mamamoo without her
MAMAMOO now joins the ranks of Destiny's Child, The Spice Girls, and TLC as the ONLY girl groups to sell over 70,000 tickets on their FIRST tour in the USA. This makes MAMAMOO the ONLY girl group to achieve this milestone AFTER a 21-year gap. AND the only Non-English speaking girl group to accomplish such a feat.
The MAMAMOO members are among some of the most-credited idols in K-Pop as of early 2023
- Moonbyul actually has the most songwriting credits of all 3rd generation female idols at 115(2nd most credited famale artist overall...
- Wheein has 9 credits (that I can find, maybe more)
UPDATE Aug 27/23
- Moonbyul 117
- Solar 41
- Hwasa 46
Moos had already given some amazing facts about our Queens, but I just want to add that there were no rap on these songs.
Hwasa could melt a rock wiht her jazzy voice
Wheein will take you to heaven and heal you
Solar will blow you away with her passion, emotion and energy and you'll be happy about it
Moonstar, whatever she does be it rapping, singing; or dancing, she does it her way and it's always a cool amazing way.
Welcome to the raddish patch, enjoy the journey.
Such a big leap! We love them for all the reasons you laid out. So much natural chemistry and charisma... we are in love
Yesss mamamoo medley is something else.
For live performance check out their performance in JYP Party People or Mamamoo Hit Songs Medley on Hwasa Show
It really is something else, right!!? We're getting so many great recommendations... we're going to be a Mamamoo channel before long!!
@@alongfortheridereactshahahahha YES PLEASE 😂🙏🏻
Welcome new baby Moomoo's. Good luck getting a moobong... i really want one too :(
This medley was from a Mamamoo concert that probably went for 3-4 hours...
We had no idea that Wheein has a song releasing this week. I really hope we get the chance to react to that! The group has us hooked at this point though, so we'll definitely be reacting to lots more content very soon!
@@alongfortheridereacts She is releasing a whole album, but we can expect a MV for 'in the mood' which should be the title track. 12th Oct at 6pm KST.
i'm sure people have already told you about this but moonbyul auditioned as a vocalist and initially wasn't keen on rapping. she mentioned a few times that she often felt left out when the other members got to showcase their vocals while she had to stand by and just rap one or two verses. however, moonbyul's experience in vocal training had helped her a lot with being a unique and versatile rapper who is able to write a suitable verse for any genre. despite being forced into the role, moonbyul took her job seriously and started writing her own raps and experimenting with her flows.
if you want to hear moonbyul's vocals, i have a few recommendations. in mamamoo's songs, she sings in:
- paint me
- egotistic (just a short verse but it was good)
- where are we now
(there's a bunch of others but i can't recall all of them lol)
she also has a solo where she focuses more on singing (although she still sticks to her rapper position and adds in a few rap verses):
- eclipse
- lunatic
- absence (vocal-heavy)
- worthless/love & hate
- in my room
- ddu ddu ddu (vocal-heavy)
- for me (vocal-heavy)
- intro: synopsis
- shutdown
- selfish
- cheese in the trap
I can’t wait until you listen to all of their songs + solo work.
Also, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mamamoo can cover anyone’s songs, but not just anyone can cover Mamamoo’s (I’ve seen some people try to cover their songs, but you can really tell that they have a hard time singing their songs)
You're right! They're absolutely unique! We're excited to dive into all of their music and content
Rewatching... just a little bit of info

Thank you so much! We really appreciate you for saying that
Oh, and you asked if any other group could do this, and the answer is no!
I can only imagine how incredibly powerful that must have been
We've learned very quickly that this group is like no other!!
Lol she was shocked lol, but I turned her into a moomoo :) after all, it is a big brothers job to teach his baby sister the finer things in life
And the best things in life, like Mamamoo! That's awesome!@@josephkim3542
That is real dedication!
OUTSTANDING NEW VIDEO MADE, dropped today : why MAMAMOO is the most underrated kpop group" by nahiseokie
Recent concert they had, they performed each other's solo songs. You are already in awe of their musical talents...but to sing each other's solo songs and make it your own and still be great. Jaw dropping.
Oh wow! That's incredible. We will have to check that out
The Mamamoo fan stick, radish light, changes colors, and can flash at different speeds. Red is one of the colors, so you are good with the official stick.
If only we could get hold of one! We're trying though and hopefully we'll have one soon
hai mamamoo+ sub unit mamamoo solar and moonbyul comeback,
When it comes to voice.
More Mamamoo, please react to their live performance KILLING VOICE - Perfect Harmony ❤❤🦋❤
We're really excited to get to that one. It's on the list :-)
reacts to mamamoo's guide
It's on our list of videos to get to asap. We really want to know more about the group
I LOVE Mamamoo! I was so excited to see them on their first US tour in June…aMAZing!! And I love your reaction!
That must have been amazing! Super jealous!
Welcome to the radish ranch hohoho
The reason why i love them so much it's because.. this group is absolutely brilliant but silly 😂
We've never seen a group so talented and so comfortable being silly like this. They're incredible
FYI, This clip is from the DVD of thier first Concert called Moosical 2016, just six months after their debut 2014 they were invited onto immotal song 2.
You can see why they would be invited on so early. They're clearly so amazingly talented!!
Thank you so much. We're really excited to see more from this group. They're amazing!!!!
Mamamoo at MAMAs 2018, 2019 and 2020 are incredible performance, thx for react!!!
Saludos xx.
right rapper moonbyul has such swag and coolness. But all the girls have swag it factor is right
So. Much. Swag!! I thiiiiink she's my favourite at the moment.... but it's close... Hwasa's attitude (and vocal!!!!) is also incredible
More Mamamoo please!
All of them can sing!!!!
More Mamamoo plisssshh
Don't worry! This group has captivated us. We will be seeing MUCH more from them
Wow right 😂 that’s exactly me 4 years ago and still WOW every time i watched any of their video ❤
Vocal ability at this level will never ever get old. There are levels to this game and they're at the very top
I say #MAMAMOO the best ✨💯
Many of the dancemoves and other oddities are throwbacks to their performances on the tv-show.
Moonbyul does backing vocals and harmonies with the rest but during that period she didn't sing solo lines when in Mamamoo. Her solo stuff is mostly singing tho, and she's an amazing singer as well.
Mamamoo=K-Legend, period.😃😃😃😃
Great reaction guys, glad to see you also like Mamamoo! I suggest their Dingo Killing Voice.. You get a great impression of their personalities and a sample of their discography.... Keep it up!
We should definitely do this! K x

Actually this medley was from a Concert... For their 2017 concert, named ‘Mamamoo Concert Moosical: Curtain Call’ they picked their version of the songs they sang during the show(Immortal Songs), performing an Eleven-Minute long medley in the middle of a Four-Hour long concert
What's crazy is that Solar was upset with the last Belt, because she had to stop moving to do it... Crazy woman, Love her.
Another MAMAMOO's KILLING VOICE with perfect HARMONY/Egoistic, HIP, Dinga, AYA | Dingo Music ua-cam.com/video/WvkTcNQsxzc/v-deo.html
That's amazing. That belt was incredible!!!
Yeah that’s cuz Solar is super loud in real life too so probably best to not have their mics pick up that belt too 🤣
Hahahaha. Whether that's true or not, I'm never going to not see that when I watch this
Welcome to the radish field, aka the world of MAMAMOO!
Thank you! We're delighted to be here :-)
Welcome to the radish field, baby radishes!
I'll give you links for each:
I Miss You - no MV. Watch their performance on the Queendom competition tv show. Fortunately the Queendom tv network doesn't block reactions but I'll give you a link to a vid uploaded and subtitled by a moomoo whose yt channel is called Wheepup Channel (Wheepup is one of Wheein's nicknames lol): ua-cam.com/video/v44_ffYAj8s/v-deo.html
Paint Me MV: ua-cam.com/video/20sOM7AlU3Y/v-deo.html Paint Me was a pre-release single from the first album in Mamamoo's landmark 2018-19 four album series 4 Season 4 Color, the most complex and ambitious project ever done by a girl group.
"serious artists who don't have themselves too seriously" is a perfect description of what we've seen so far and what we love about them. Perfect!
Thank you so much for the links and recommendations. Moomoos have been really supportive and seem so passionate about this group. It's hard not to fall in love
@@alongfortheridereacts You're welcome! Moomoos are happy to share the love and preach the good news from the moo gospel. lol
Don't watch it right away but when you think you can't possibly love them more watch the live MV for their first love song to moomoos called I Love Too aka Never Letting Go (the Korean title), which is the fandom motto. Oh, and don't forget to bring tissues cuz it's a 5 hankie emotional wrecking ball.
Aaaaah... that makes sense! We'll make sure to check out the right ones next time
You're so right about the fiery passion! How can you not fall directly in love with this group
Thank you! Good idea regarding the video layout... we've got a few already in the can, but we will see what we can do for future videos
We welcome you to the radish farm 💚
To get to know them I highly suggest Introducing Mamamoo by Purplehawke here on yt!!!
Might aswell watch killing voice and their queendom performances🤣🤣🤣
If they come to your country don’t think just get any ticket you can. Seriously. These girls aren’t a thing that happens often.
If they come to the UK, we will be there!
Well, now you've done it. You've fallen in the rabbit hole. It's very deep. It's hard to find someone to compare them to. Little Mix comes up.
Yep. We've fallen hard!
More mamamoo reaction plz
Welcome to the vocal queen group 😂❤
We've never experienced anything like it
Awesome group, awesome performance, awesome reaction 👍
To get you started I recommend another must-watch video, which is their "Killing Voice" performance on "dingo music".
Pls go listen to Mamamoo killing voice! Now!
Sir, yes sir! :-)
wheein of mamamoo has a new song out, "In the Mood" I hope you can also react to it!
No spoilers but... have notifications on for tomorrow :-)
The rapper actually an amazing singer/ vocalist who can easily knock most of other groups’ main vocals out of the park. It’s just her role as a rapper make her sing less. She actually is one of the best rappers if not the best in Kpop. But she won vocal competition before.
Here’s the link of one of her vocal performances that made the judges and her conpetitor cry on the spot literally:
ua-cam.com/video/xdg6jpzy_6I/v-deo.htmlsi=VIUJhRlKU6Tr8PZC
Since the lyrics of this song is very deep, I recommend check the lyrics first before listening
(the video show behind her are people from differents industry saying one reason that make they keep go on: friends, family, etc)
Mamamoo is one of the rare grop that each members has a very successful solo career.
Please checkout their Killing Voice Performance. They are my vocal queens
This has been one of the most popular recommendations. It's definitely on our to-do list :-)
You can do Paint Me next. The rapper is a talented singer tooo
Moonbyul is my favourite so far. I'm excited to check out more of her content

That is absolutely on the list
Vocal Queens and Kings of Vocals in Kpop? Mamamoo and Exo.
2 great performances to react to?
Killing Voice Mamamoo
Killing Voice EXO

All that being said, either one is a valid choice :) Just wanted to give my opinion on it
Thank you for that. We will need to go through a guide at some point, so it's great to know the differences between them
