Its a beautiful thing seeing an engine coming together, a work of math, metal, and tools to perform for you the most wonderful thing, speed. I may never have one of them but they are still beautiful none the less. Thank you Mr Porsche.
Great example of creation and working skill with unmatchable product quality as we as mass production in minimum time with 0 defects Excellent, salute to engineers and work force 👍👍👍👍
I remember when It was a NO NO to use a impact wrench on a Porsche and they were simple and exciting machines. Now they are a nightmare of ridiculous complexity.
Yes I don't mind having music videos and tech videos separate - but this video at least shows what is one of the roots of quality, it's the cleanness... Every single one at work has gloves in their hands...
Peace be upon you, Professor. I have a question on the car. My generation Ck. I have bubbles appearing with it in the radiator. I replaced the cassette 3 times. The machine is clear and smooth. Strong pulling from the cooling off. Returns the text. Normal. Professor The driver did not switch.
Don't get me wrong..I'd love to own a 1965 Corvette Roadster(convertable) with a manual transmission and 396 ci big block V8 producing 425 brake horse power BUT I also think an older Porsche's from the 1960's would be,"almost" as good. Max Retiree GM of Canada
Some mechanic told me that Porsche’s never need head gaskets since their so precisely machined. If that’s so then what do you call the piece at 2:11 then?
Watching how Porsche builds its engines (and the Macan video) reminds me of the videos I have seen of Rolex and how meticulous their timepieces are made. If every car buyer watched these videos, they would buy nothing but Porsche and Rolex!!! Seriously. I'm fortunate enough to have both.
I'm enjoying watching your good video. I support you in Korea. (Where all the car's informarion are) I run the car maintenance UA-cam channel in Korea.
+Stryke Good point however I have a 5 cyl. turbo no direct injection and they are known to last several hundred thousand kilometers. I suppose if one has enough to spend on a Porsche, one can pay to keep it going. Some smaller engines are now getting more complex direct injection and they are prone to carbon buildup like the VW TSI and family.
i agree that when complexity comes a long with being prone to defect and expensive to repair. i would rather take something simple. and old engine that lasts a long time with just regular service but uses much more fuel i would much rather have than a complex and fuel efficent, with vanos or vtec or whatever that you always have a fear of it breaking down.

These guys know how to have a good time at work , here they are playing "first one to talk gets old fashioned electricicution torture game "
Very high quality camera work.

Buen trabajo 👍👏🏼
I cant believe how clean and quite these Porsche and BMW factories are, nothing like the ones I used to visit!
MUST BE MURICA
Clean...yes. But you should look up the Lexus Tahara Plant where they manufacture the LS 500.
Nice video and I liked the music too!!
Great example of creation and working skill with unmatchable product quality as we as mass production in minimum time with 0 defects
Excellent, salute to engineers and work force 👍👍👍👍
Great views of the assembly process...and I loved the music!
sir please all engine timings mark thank you
Excelente video
How nice it feels when i see working people there and not only robotics :-)

Where’s footage were the connecting rods are mated to the crank shaft, this is the most exciting part of this engine assembly!
Thats an important junction, where linear force is transfered to rotational force; without that we are riding in Fred Flintstone cars
Just a casual automotive workers camp...
Роботы на заводе для мебели : поставил крышку и прикрутил два болта! 😁😂🤣👍
Yes allay loves the twin turbo 911s
perfect!
what's funny is that they still tells you to make run for new engines
like its the 1950
What are those white delrin looking plugs? They were inserted into some of the cooling channels in the block anyone know why?
Marcos messias, por que a Porsche não fábrica um motor Box de oito cilindros o que impede esse projeto?
Yes I don't mind having music videos and tech videos separate - but this video at least shows what is one of the roots of quality, it's the cleanness... Every single one at work has gloves in their hands...

so nice video very help fully
Шестерни цепи - одно целое с коленвалом. Выводы делайте сами. Через 60000 миль - полный капремонт движка вместо замены деталей на 500€.
This makes the Corvette engine plant look like a Walmart!
More human intervention than I expected, very interesting
I see a assembly line by Peugeot in France, was near the same level of human intervention...
Nice work
Oh, the best kind of assembly and engineering, German.
Love et.is great.kathy.p.
These alongside Subaru, are my most loved car company. They make horizontal engine.

anyone know what the plastic tubes are for at. 1 17?
I was thinking pushrod guides till I remember it isn't pushrod :P
I guess to prevent dust from getting in there
Oil feed...
they sit in the coolant passages, it takes up volume so the amount of coolant on each side of the car is equal. Porsche likes things to be balanced
Thanks makes sence
You got the tool wow.....
I would buy that engine and just look at in my living room.
i wonder if these guys would get switched around. Otherwise it seems like any other assembly line work.
The musical theme is like a porno movie theme of early 90'

Sweet

Ims bearing 996???
Beauty from argentina
No doubt the nicest way to work on one of those engines...out of the car! 😁
Hello dear friend, can you please tell me the clip of this clip?❤❤❤❤❤
I like this
Scares me when I see a piston being placed into a dry cylinder without a coating of oil.
Don't need that much oil,we already did after the block build .
Don't be scared...Porsche build some of the most reliable engines out there

The older Porsche's dont have enough HP i know i work on them - Driven almost every Porsche and i own 460 HP 92 LT1 Supercharged Corvette
Nice
it´s bi-turbo ?
In guessing the guy with the torch has to bend down too far to check the IMS bearing!
EXCELLENCE.
good
what the fuck, they are still assembling by hand. No wonder their engines fail so much.
near all engines are assembled by hand...
Some mechanic told me that Porsche’s never need head gaskets since their so precisely machined. If that’s so then what do you call the piece at 2:11 then?
Huastec,
the 1950's Maserati 250 F racing car did not have a head gasket. The head is lapped to the block.
Nice jobs
whaoooooooooooooooooooooooooo. nice video
👍SUPER👍
nice
V6?
Now put one of these in the back of a VW Super Beetle!
+tdrewman These 911 engines are watercooled, so they wouldn't work. You need the pre-1992 flat 6s to work in a Beatle, if they would physically fit.
+tdrewman The old bug may be the ancestor of the 911, but it did increase in size quite a lot ...
I seen someone with a water cooled porsche engine in a 70's vw bus, dude had 2 radiators on each side with a cross pipe connecting them.
+MJ G Oh my flaming horny shitballs of Anúbis. Is there a video of this?

nice video, engines made in Germany are becoming more complex, prone to defect and expensive to repair. Keep it simple
+serge vivier Simple engines are great to work on, but you have to keep developing.
+Stryke Engines should not break down in the first place, haha.
Ronald de Rooij That's why they get developed further.
