Same here! My S24 Ultra is damn near perfect. The battery life and cameras are excellent. The overall OS buttery smooth. I did have the Vivid issue but the update they pushed out fixed that issue.
I've had the s24 ultra since release. When I first got the phone, the screen colors were washed out and I had major focus problems. They fixed these issues with an update, for the most part. In low light the 3x camera is grainy and slightly darker, and the 5x is significantly darker and muddy looking. Not a fan of still having a 10mp 3x camera. With the new snapdragon chip I've noticed the s24 be significantly better at video recording than any other generation samsung. It's pretty awesome. Waiting for the camera update, hope they fix the yellowing issues.
@KEG-1995 To get the best results from the S24U, one has to learn its characteristics, how to use it, and the best settings. In low-light conditions, your fastest lens is the x1 f1.7, and that is, by design, the one to use. It is one stop faster than the x3 (f2.4) and two stops faster than the x5 (f3.4). It also has the most sophisticated auto focus system. Set resolution to 12mp (uses 4x4 pixel binning) for best results and get nearer your subject. Use your flash if you can. Depending on subject movement, best results may come from Photo mode, Pro mode or Expert Raw. With experience you will know which to use.

On Reddit, I find a ton of instructions and settings for the professional camera mode on the S24U because Samsung, after three iterations of software updates, still hasn't managed to make the automatic mode (HDR) work correctly. Let me remind you, it's been eight months since the S24U was announced! Shame on Samsung! This is disrespectful to customers!
In my country, the cost of an iPhone 15PM is the same as the S24U, and the iPhone 15PM surpasses it 2-3 times in terms of photo and video quality! Why does the S24U still have jerky zoom transitions?! Why do the photos come out so awful if the subject is moving (slow shutters-just install proper camera modules in your smartphones already). 80% of iPhone 15PM/S24U buyers just need a good camera! I don't want to adjust white balance, ISO, and other settings just to take a quick photo or record a spontaneous video! I've been using Samsung flagship smartphones since 2013, and I'm fed up with Samsung's careless and neglectful attitude towards their customers.
@okeyezeilo6187 Clearly, the primary camera is superior in low light conditions. I was discussing my experience with software updates and the characteristics of each camera, as well as their shortcomings. I've had numerous ultra devices and am deeply familiar in their camera system. Please refrain from being condescending.

To be honest, the experience of upgrading from S23U to S24U this year was very bad for me. The zoom quality is heavily reduced, the camera is even reduced (new algorithms processing the photo is really terrible), extremely heavy yellow haunting in the 5x camera. I really regret not being with S23U longer. People do not mention that the nano coating on the S24U screen this year is extremely bad, it easily adheres to fingerprints in an unbelievable way, and also very difficult to clean, can not clean into ordinary clothes to clean like other types of screens. I had to trade my anti-reflective ability to put on a screen protector to fix over-fingerprint, and make it easier to clean.

I am more than happy with mine, and as I have said before, it is way better than my previous S21 Ultra Exynos in many areas.
I'm not and I have one.. it glitches constantly.. its signal strength is a lie. It randomly freezes and reboots in the middle of using it. It drops calls daily. I get "Process System isn't responding" multiple times a day. It all came after about 3 months of owning it. I've always had a Galaxy and I'll be switching to iPhone on my next upgrade.. I didn't buy a flagship to have these issues.

@arjames26 Depends on what one shoots. The focal length range 115 to 229mm is important for general photography. There's a significant difference between the quality of images shot on the 115mm (50mp) camera of the S24U and the under 4mp which, to cover the same range, the 10mp 69mm camera of S23U reduces to. If one does a lot of shooting in that range, it's probably worthwhile to upgrade...
I'm still rocking my exynos s22U. Still very fast and smooth. Battery is pretty shit can't lie, but I can still make it last. (Barely).

It's not that the phone has to be 100% as you call it. It's what we should expect from a new phone that's from the same lineup every year that costs a limb or two. Of course a new phone should be better or at least equal to the older version. To even compare the phone to a 10 year old phone makes zero sense 😅 Over all great video 🙂
Pfff, I don't give a sh*t about the cameras. 5 generations ago they were more than good enough for me. So many shallow people seem to think everybody has the same priorities.
Most people do only simple snapshots on their phone. If you want a professional camera; buy one. THIS IS A PHONE!

The s24 ultra is not suppose to be liked by 99% of phone users it is a flagship niche phone, its a power user phone, samsung should be trying to please the 1% of s24 ultra/note users thats what we are hear for..., the regular galaxy s24 on the other hand is the everyday common mans phone that is should be made so that 99% of people like it globally, the note/ultra name is suppose to be an all out power phone not typically liked by the public.
I am a note/Ultra die hard... I'm disappointed with the reviews on s24, it is putting me off buying. Downgraded battery life and the removal of storage makes it a non-power user friendly phone
@KiKi-te9yd exactly same here, the note/ultra is suppose to be the ridiculous phone for power users and business people, not the general public, the battery should be 8000mah by now but they are still dicking around with 5000mah, all ultra's/notes should come factory oem bootloader unlocked, and they should only produce the global network unlocked version that works worldwide so there is never any guess as to what variant on note ultra your getting it's just a given that the note will work anywhere and do anything.. for 1400$ it should be able to do anything.

Camera issues are real, video has jitter and focus issues. 3x camera is terrible. Photos and video are both terrible in medium to low light and photo algorithm processing is very bad compared to previous models.
Battery life is just ok unless you gimp the phone with light mode and turn everything off.
Speakers still suck as usual compared to iPhone. No low end and very harsh and tinny. At maximum volume much worse than iPhone and makes calls on speaker phone mode much worse than iPhone.
Phone overheats quickly if you do any heavy tasks, CPU is power hungry and runs hot.
There's a big issue with the camera. After taking 3x zoom portrait photo it always tends to blur out important part of the picture like the face of the person I snapped.
use the galazy AI to clean the pictures🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@jeffreybower5959 I do end up reducing/removing the portrait effect with the AI feature, sometimes it doesn't even do justice to the picture 😐

Compared to any iphone .. the S24 Ultra is years ahead.
For the price Samsung is charging, it needs to Improve is QC, it’s why I left years ago and why I’ll remain Samsung free until they do
I have mine for a few months now - 9/10.
Only issue for me is low light indoor photos are not up to the level they should be and post processing can be too much on camera.
Other than that, all these issues that people are having with screen, battery, heating, god knows what else I have not had.
I'm a power user with QHD, adaptive brightness and I'm getting a full day of battery life. That has been my honest experience. It's not just about certain individual things:
I like the way it is designed
I like the way it visually looks
I love how it feels when using on daily basis
When I see this device as a piece of tech I really like what I am seeing, the design, the feel physically and software wise on day to day basis it's a good experience. I don't want to purchase a chinese flagship with the huge camera designs and all based on similar look. It's all pieces to the puzzle.
What about HDR videos? I see a messed up white balance and exposure.
If you haven't faced all these problems! it doesn't mean that other people will be lucky! On reddit people are just swearing! in the comments from screen problems, and there are a lot of such! comments. I myself was planning to buy S24U, but according to the legislation of our country smartphones are considered a technological product, which in case of any force majeure hard to exchange. I do not need a fuckin* smartphone purchase which turns into a lottery for my money!

I'm talking about my personal experience, I'm not denying problems for others.
And btw when it comes to Reddit, it's normal that there are negative comments, it's human nature to share the experience whem its a negative one.
I can bet there are a whole lot more happy users but they do not feel the need to share it since all is good for them.
For me, my issue with the camera is that it applies depth of field even when I don't want it to. The other issue is data connectivity that can be hit and miss. Amazing phone otherwise.
Ive had major issues with the camera since the last big update. Using 50 or higher mp. The post processing ruins a lot of shots. Especially when taking pics of darker skin people.
Go into camera settings and turn the intelligence optimization to minimal. Then go into gallery and turn super hdr off. It helps a lot.
I have no issues. Yes, the zoom issue is real, but I don't use the x30 zoom. The x5 and x10 are incredible, especially the x5, which I've been using a lot.
I found it's hard to get sharp pictures with the manual focus feature.
The grainy screen is true. It's one thing to have failures at this scale, it's another from the brand to tell the customer (me) that this is normal while it's obviously not.. As for the camera, the software treatment after the shot is also off compared to the S23 Ultra. That one had a perfect balance and I think I would have preferred to keep it.
I've noticed graininess has almost reduced to 0 after I bumped up the resolution to QHD+ and I don't see any noticeable battery impact at the same time.
@@AravindVNair Mine has always been max resolution... I can make some tweaks to dampen it playing with the white balance settings. But ultimately I can't escape it 😶
@@ValCharis Ah I guess you have a knack for attention to details. 😅 I still do see it if I look carefully, but I've mostly got used to it now after using it for about 2 or 3 months. It was more noticeable in default resolution but a lot lesser now. I have eye comfort and adaptive colour tone turned on as well but that didn't have any effect with grains.
Right now my main issue is with the HDR videos. I see a messed up white balance and exposure. I've been complaining to Samsung via their Members app for some time now and just the other day they told me they have fixed it but haven't given any details apart from that, I've followed up and now waiting to hear back from them.

Good video but i am too experiencing focusing issues with the 3x lens and soft pictures with the main. Battery life is not good. I am really disappointed for trading my s23 ultra for this. If the great August update doesnt solve these issues, im selling. We need to call out samsung on these issues and stop trying to sugar coat it. 1500 for the full experience and we're not getting it.
You can't expect to spend so much money thinking your going to get the perfect device as thats completely dumb as it's a phone no matter what it's restricted by hardware and software which can vary and the pictures isn't soft it's natural as you think the s23 has more details but in reality it's overshapening

They need to open up the full RAW capabilities, full 50 mega pixel, to third party so the performance and quality can be mastered. This is what is under Expert Raw that the other apps say they don't have access to. Also, make the DNG raw format a true one and not JPEG type which isn't supported by Photoshop's Enhance to remove noise. In April 2023, Samsung switched from uncompressed RAW to 12 bit JPEG compression, inside a DNG container. I want untouched raw, no AI crap, so I can make the adjustments myself in Photoshop and other photo editors.
Just got an S24 Ultra today and love it. Coming from a low end phone to the s24 ultra its a massive difference. Maybe for people who upgrade every generation to the next flagship it might be a bit disappointing with some things but for someone who's upgrading from a lower end or multiple generations older phone its a great choice.
Nothing wrong with mine. Phone of the year..camera has improved by the update...wonderful battery life...multi tasking better than any phone maybe in history except the s23 Ultra.

That’s wrong. If you’re company you have to make products that are capable to use for anyone out of the box without tweaking it. That’s the main reason why people still prefer iPhone even if S24 in terms of specs and features is definitely better

That quote was completely wrong and not reflecting reality at all.There 3-4 major high end flagship phones at the moment only.iPhone 15 Pro,Galaxy s24Ultra,Pixel 8Pro.Maybe you can include Xiaomi too but they are not presented in North American market at all.Huawei without Google Services out of the list.Ine Plus,Oppo ect are not major high end flagships for last few years.If you don't like iOS then only 2 real comparators Samsung and Pixel and in alot of countries Pixel is not available. So you call it comparative market?
This is a great perspective! I am coming from a Pixel 7Pro to the 24 Ultra, and I am thoroughly impressed and satisfied. I think the 25 Ultra could improve the camera niggles of the 24 with greater emphasis on the software to extend battery life, which would trickle down to the 24. I'm glad I made the switch and am not looking back!
It's because of the price. For how much it is, people expect it to be "perfect". The user experience is great for me especially nowadays I love using Dex.
The thing is the camera, it sux compared to others. My 5yrs old phone sometimes took better photos.
Yes sensor size matters. Look at the new phones coming out they smokes this bad boi when it comes to camera.

Traded my S23U for the S24U and love it. On the other hand, my wish would be for the manufacturers to stop making incremental improvement on an every year basis, and come up with a real new phone every two to three years.
Need help here. I am planning to buy a s24 ultra, however I am worried about three things for sure.. I have an s21 ultra and the phone heats up during calls, or clicking pictures or playing graphic intensive games + cameras are good but not like the recent flagships + I feel this is the right time to upgrade it as it will lose value down the line. However, if I am facing the same issues with S24 ultra, then there is no point of buying it. Please advise or provide your recommendations.
You start by saying it is an upgrade over the S23 Ultra in every department you can think of but then not so much in the camera zoom range and battery, how so? Samsung should implement 5X-10X optical zoom next time. For me the sweet zoom range is 10X-30X. Defending Samsung’s stupidity will only make it be more complacent and not really focus on releasing better products. There is obviously some issues with the cameras Samsung is aware of when It is planning to release another “big camera update” with the August update.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this video, I really appreciate it, but, you missed some key points. Their software updates take a long time to reach us, the camera is good but to be honest the vivo X100 Ultra is better. Honestly Samsung and Apple, are just sitting there chilling, copying each other with little things that makes no sense. I missed when Huawei was in the game, they made Samsung and Apple got off their ass and put them to work. I have been using Samsung phones since 2010 and have never used any other brand. This is a problem I'm having recently with Samsung, the oleophobic layer on my phone has worn off so now my phone is caching a lot of fingerprints and under the screen it's very cloudy or foggy. This has never happened to me until now, this is an expensive phone to have this problem, again, this has never happened before. I regret the day I bought this S24U, I should have stayed with my S22U, it never gave me any problems, specially like these, Samsung made me lose trust in them now, I don't know know if I'll look at them the same anymore.

Probably the best review I've seen of the S24 Ultra. One thing is clear, though. The camera assembly on the S24 Ultra is the most sophisticated Samsung has ever put on a smartphone. And frankly, it isn't a point-and-shoot device one can pick up and utilize competently without learning its characteristics, how to use it properly, and how to set it up correctly. Until one learns those, it will be difficult to get good results in less than ideal lighting conditions. Get a handle on those, and you have in your hands the best phone camera ever built by Samsung.
s24 ultra is a great phone with its sharp edges and flat screen makes it look more cinematic and a pleasure to watch video.
The only downside is living in Australia the updates are so slow
They have absolutely not rectified the dimming issue, I just got the ultra and all updates, it's terrible, takes 3mins outside and it's down
Regarding the telephoto lenses, I went with the s23u because the 230mm lens was switched to 111mm in the s24u. Even though the s24u sensor is a bit bigger, zooming to 10x takes a small crop of that sensor resulting in a much smaller effective area than on the 23u. Looking at the 1x vs 3x lenses on the s23u, the big 200mp sensor cant come close to matching the 3x lens detail even though it can take a 3x crop with the same number of pixels. I take a lot of zoomed in shots in the mountains when hiking, in bright light, so it made sense to me.
I do see the reasoning in making the focal length change between lenses smaller, though. Switching from 3 to 10 on my s23u, often 10x is way too much but 3x is too little. While our wallets would not approve, I'd like to see an additional lens on the s25u. 0.6x, 1x, 2.5x, 5x and 10x. This would give more options for composing photos using the prime magnification maintaining maximum quality.
Hey mate, the S24 Ultra has a 3x telephoto as well.
Setup is
0.6, 1, 3, 5 (5 being a 50mp so it can crop from a high resolution)
@@techwithbenefits I'm aware, I was mentioning the 3x lens vs 1x as an example of how the high megapixel sensor crop doesn't quite equal the quality of optical zoom. I agree with you that for most users, the S24 ultra's lens set makes more sense.
Another typical influencer either paid by Samsung or whoever... I think the truth is very simple in the harsh economics they do minimalistic upgrades to maintain low price otherwise who cares.... I'm having s22 ultra and there is no way that I would upgrade for 25th I'm waiting more for 26 or 27th version because increments of phones are not what they used to be in the more optimistic times...
This is the most accurate response, I have read 📚 about what Samsung is doing that's why I'm no longer rushing to get any new upgrade till around 26/27 👍👍💯💯
I bought mine one week ago, and I'm honestly thinking of getting my money back. The phone is overheating with WhatsApp calls, extremely overheating, to a point I have to hang up the call. I also didn't like that the S24 was basically the only phone available to buy that was not a flip phone. Just started my day and the battery is 82%. I had my last Samsung phone (don't remember which one) fo 5 years and one last year started to overheat. Honestly I'll get my money back and buy an IPhone.

I think we could reach a middle ground. Honestly, I think it's very dangerous to just say that people who are complaining are wrong (and basically lying) to protect a product or a company. We have a large enough number of people relating issues to say that it's not relevant. It doesn't mean that all S24Us have issues; we can have perfect units and others with problems, so both people complaining and people saying that they don't have any issues can be right. I have an S24U with a camera that underperforms, especially in non-ideal lighting conditions. And what people usually say when they see this kind of complaint is that it is obviously expected as every phone takes bad photos in low-light conditions and this is not a professional camera, and so on. The thing is, we obviously expect to get worse photos in low-light conditions, but what we are getting is simply images worse than expected. The S24U isn't the first phone for most of us; we are used to seeing the difference in phone images among different lighting conditions, but on the S24U, the quality difference is just too big. Display and battery on mine are just fine.
If you dont mind my asking, what is the precise nature of the 'underperformance in non-ideal lighting conditions'...?
Samsung is not perfect by any stretch, and their customer service leaves a lot to be desired, I have been an avid samsung user for 10 +years, I've had all the flagships right up to the s22ultra, and this is my last, I'm no longer buying into their system, my next phone will be the Sony xperia vi, samsung pushed out the android 14 update which destroyed my wife s21 ultra and put it into a permanent boot loop and their customer service told me the phone could be fixed for approximately £220, they ran diagnostics on the device and agreed the hardware was perfect and had zero issues, it's definitely software issues,so why should I pay!! You f@@ked my wife's phone and I have to pay to get it repaired, complete bullshit, good by samsung and I hope you go bankrupt

@luaumoal The sensors on smartphone cameras are tiny compared with those on a full camera so the dynamic range & High ISO (low light) image quality are correspondingly lower. A contemporary full frame DSLR will have about 15 stops dynamic range while the best smartphones will have just over 8. The DSLR will also shoot, at ISO 25,600, quality the smartphone will struggle with at ISO 800. That said, the High ISO performance of the S24U is among the very best in the world of smartphones today.
To generate this quality, though, one needs to understand the characteristics of its cameras, how to use them, and how to set up the cameras. Sometimes one uses Photo mode, other times Pro mode or Night mode, and sometimes Expert Raw. If one is shooting in relatively poor light, especially indoors, turning on the flash can help if the subject is close by. It is also advisable to use the fastest lens, the main (x1) camera, and to get closer to the subject. At f1.7, it is one stop faster than the x3 camera (f2.4) and two stops faster than the x5 camera (f3.4). This gives room for lowering ISOs (tackling 'graininess') and increasing shutter speeds (addressing blur due to camera shake/subject movt).

How can you say it's the best display out there when a large amount of users are reporting really bad grain and banding issues? I have issues on mine too and it's pretty bad... I would much prefer a less bright display over this s*...

I don't have an issue with the battery. My phone has been off the charger for 12 hours, starting at full charge. I've been on it a lot today, and 12 hours later, it's on 50%. I'm very pleased with the battery. I upgraded from the S21 Ultra. And I don't have issues with overheating either. I love my phone!
S25 Ultra:

Cameras are: 16MP .6x, 200MP main, 50MP 3x, 50MP 5-10x optical periscope like what Sony devices have (I know they don't go to 10x optical yet, but I'm sure Samsung could figure it out)

Better power management for ultra long battery. I remember when the Note4 would last ~3 days of standard usage!

30 Zoom is worse now after the update than before. 30 zoom gives a very bad picture and the battery does not last much longer than before
My S23 ultra takes better photos and videos than my new S24, and honestly, it made me sad 😢
I want a smaller phone that fits in my pocket better. I don't want a poor camera and battery though, so I'm stuck in the middle of downgrading from my usual Ultra to the S24. I also don't want to spend 2.6k on a phone every 2 yrs, especially when the screens break so easily. Thank goodness they have gone back to flat screens. I don't need 5 cameras but want the Ultra quality in a more comfortable size (smaller), even 1 cm downsize each way and the round corners.
I upgraded from my s22 ultra to the s24 ultra. The s22 picture quality BLOWS the s24 away at all lenses. My s24 is crap and i regret buying it. Online research shows its not jsut me and samsung is doing nothing to fix it. Grainy pics look like s10 quality.
What are you babbling about. I compared my s22 and s24 ultra and s22 ultra is shit compared to it the pictures are overexposed, so much more noise, frame drops in video, soft photos and I mean really soft, worse haptics, the zoom transition is really choppy on my s22, it handles highlights poorly. And the shutter lag is really bad as it can't even get a solid photo of a moving object

Honestly, without having any personal connection to the mobile industry or any vested interest, as just an ordinary consumer and owner of a Samsung Note 10+, I can confidently say that none of the famous reviewers have covered the topic as thoroughly, or even 20% as well as what we heard in this video.

Samsung's over sharpening is a big issue for me. And low light performance is worse. Samsung needs to upgrade their hardware and put one inch sensor and replace other lenses too.
I havent had any of three issues in the past couple of months that I've owned the phone. Simply amazing.

I am extremely happy with my S24U, Brilliant display, great camera, outstanding software, S Pen flexibility. As a package it can do more than any other phone.
I think people expect a revolutionary product every year, which is unrealistic. And some just criticise everything for their own self promotion.

Perhaps a silly or puerile question but isn't it possible for samsung to fit a screen protector with an oleomatic coating already applied to keep the ati glare facility?
It takes some wierd looking photos sometimes but then realizing the mistake was mine, choosing the wrong mode or settings for the sitautions. I think that people don't really know how these advanced tech equipment works and then blame the manufacturer instead of playing around and experiment with settings and modes and different situations. You realize soon that the phone is so much more than what you actally needs.
I agree. It is not just a camera. At the end of the day it is still a phone to be in contact with others. And to think a phone can do all this is amazing.
How many people have an Ultra phone as a flex or wether they actually truly use it and all its functions...you be surprised....I am a Samsung man and still run a very old s10e 😂 yep still....it does everything I need it for including runs Dex just fine...For me the only reason to upgrade to the 24 series is purely for the 7yrs software support that is significant....But saying that it could mean 2 things that Samsung have a lot of faith in their hardware and its longevity or basically mobile phone technology has hit a brick wall as in there running out of ideas...I mean surely phones can't get much better or do any more or get any faster... the screens can't get any better that the human eye can tell the difference...Really the only thing that can improve is battery life....Stop waisting your money too the standard s24 will do for most people...

My ultra has a July 30 build date and i guess they addressed those issues
My battery hpld 1 day with no problem.But after june update change to 12 hours with power saves 14 hours... i think its a bug i try every settings nothing help.Can you help what to do?😢😢😢

Being also a photographer, I have been disappointed with the new smartphone camera tech! I've had an iPhone XS and I loved its camera, and I also loved the old Galaxy S7 camera. As soon as they started this HDR thing, photos started becoming more and more weird.
I've had an iPhone 13 and a Galaxy Note 10 and I hated their photos, I was always getting myself deleting and not using photos taken with both because they looked weird.
The only reason I got an S23+ is because Samsung allowed to switch off completely the HDR using the Camera Assistant app. I still don't like Samsung's color rendition. But my photos have natural blown out highlights and dark shadows.
As a photographer, the only smartphone I had and was 100% happy with every single photo I took was a cheap Pixel 3a.

Idk I went from galaxy 20 to the 24 ultra and there is a noticeable difference in color on the screens. The ultra just seems more dull in general
That's a smart analysis about the zoom. Maybe the deminished quality beyond 30mm rang was to favor the zero to ten.
Excellent video and totally agree on all you say and I have no issues with mine too many reviews now are camera reviews and that's it but hands down this is the best phone I've ever owned and the only issue I can say is the size but can't have it all and I for one love the display and the boxy design!

Very unhappy I had scratches after couple week. Send twice to samsung to get repaired ( charging problems) came back with extra scratches.i have S21 ultra for 3 year. 21 looks like new still

Got the new s24 ultra,and am not impressed,..especially with the camera, I had a Huawei pro 20,and the camera on that,had more option,better color....

I could go into a very dark room with the Huawei pro 20,and it would take a picture,like the light was on in the room....and its camera options,definetly out perform the galaxy s24 ultra.

I've had one since they came out, print out an a4 photo then you'll see how bad they really are. Absolutely dreadful. Of course it'll be good one screen, take it to paper it's a whole new ball game, colours are way wide at the mark, it's unable to focus on some areas etc etc. Tried it in manual modes and Pro mode, no difference. Previous iphone 14 pro max stuffed it in every respect (camera wise). Not forgetting it's a different platform.
What Samsung need to do: create an easily replaceable screen protector that has the same anti-reflection as the screen on the s24 ultra. We love the anti-reflection but screen protectors are a must need. Most people are like me, extremely careful, never broke a screen before, but only a screen protector would prevent against some unfortunate event that could happen to the screen. The entire line of original cases for the s24 line is terribly designed. Create a soft, thin, transparent cover for the entire line, for those that just want minimal protection, a little more grip, that does not turns the phone into a large and heavier brick hiding the beautiful design. And this slim case should be included inside the phone box. Those are not extremely technical advances but would generate a very positive outcome

I wish Samsung would support more bt codecs, the chipset supports then but they omit it for their own buds proprietary codecs
My battery last too long seems like because I use routines to turn on location when the app that I use needs it..and I use dark mode because I keep my ego away from wallpapers to try and miserably impress others that don't care 😅😅
Mine has strong grain and a green tint on the top left.. except for the new anti-reflection I find the display horrible. At low brightness I could even see three black bars on the display
I would agree about the need for quality closer zoom, not so much 20 or 30 times zoom. However, I get really tired of Samsung ruining my photographs when, for example, I go to take a picture of a flower up close and just as I'm about to snap the shutter it changes the camera lens and messes up the shot because the AI on board has decided that it knows better than what I'm trying to do. Also color reproduction, well better, continues to be something Samsung could improve upon still. I'm not talking about a lot of saturation versus realistic, I'm talking about just getting the color right. That's not something new or grand, that's basic stuff that they still don't have working correctly.
Thinking of upgrading my Note10 plus to either a S24 Ultra, Fold 6 or maybe an Iphone16 if I'm wowed. Been with Samsung for 10+ years. Hard decisions 🤔

Barely an upgrade for me from my Note 20 Ultra. Wasted my money.

Battery, screen, and overall performance are the best ever, but not much of an upgrade over the powerhouse Note 20 Ultra 5g from 4 years ago. However, this phone has much more modern camera sensor and wifi/bluetooth protocol support.
What I hate is the iphone look, the flat sides, and there was something special with the note 20 screen readability that the S24 ultra didnt carry over. Antiglare is great though.
Note 20 was the peak that's why they discontinued it because the s21 onward is just the note 20 ultra with minimal updates
@@4REALLL S series didn't replace it the note became the S-Series what makes a note a note the pen so that's why it always ran alongside it the newest phones until they ran out of ideas for the S series and gave it a pen 🤣they still use the 3 camera flash and lazer focus set up it was just not in a block format it would honestly be an upgrade if it didn't have a bump at all 😕
The battery barely lasts a day now. So yeah there's something wrong.
You probably have an app in the background draining your battery
I charge mine to 80%, never higher, and it easily lasts the day.
Only when I'm on the camera for extended periods of time will it drain quicker.
Camera software needs a lot of improvement and fine tuning. Take shutter lag, for example. You can get some great shots of birds eye details at 30x zoom, but still, take a picture of your kid or pet playing (especially indoors) - it will end up blurry no matter what settings you use. I don't expect pro camera results, of course, just decent ones, on pair with other phones in the same price range (Iphone or Pixel, for example). I don't know why Samsung is so stubborn, competition solved it years ago - can't be that hard.
Mine has horrible colors compared with my old note 9...... they need to fix this asap, it's just too much gamma and washes out all colors and contrast

I hate how smart phones are mostly about camera this and camera that. Everyone is a professional photographer nowadays… LOL. It's a phone… not camera. As far as battery life, people are on their devices way too much. Same complaint with game controllers. If you're upset you can't get over 3 hours of gameplay, I think you need to put the game down for a while. If you step back and just look at everyone around you, the amount of people glued to their devices is crazy.

It's a phone for goodness sakes…the camera is not going to be perfect. Compare what camera phones or even difital cameras used to be like to what they are now. If you're going somewhere where you want perfect pictures, that's when a real camera comes into play. You can't have one small device that does everything perfectly.

First, why can't we have both? I don't buy the "it would be too expensive" argument. It's already stupid expensive in flagship phone space and we lay down and take it. They were almost there with the S23 Ultra and they stopped, went in a different direction. The nightography is awful, awful. Went to a small concert venue last night, sitting close. Attempted some photos. ALL RED, ugly red. My hubby with his old Apple got fantastic shots and I'm a decent photographer. Of course, no flash allowed, but this is abysmal. Scrutiny is necessary at this level of spending no matter who you are, we should be expecting nothing less than excellence at this point from Samsung. Look at the current debacle with the Ear Buds Pro 3 and the rubber tips tearing. This should not be happening from Samsung. I don't accept less than just to appeal to the masses. Having a telephoto and night photography there when you need is not too much to ask. Stop focusing on form factor and get it right! It's already too expensive. Appreciate your perspective. Guess I am that 1% that wants more from my phone investment and I hate being embarrassed by my husband old Apple! I have often been a cheerleader for Samsung being the only such user in my large family since 2015 but not this time respectfully! My resolve is warning. I am also tired of being promised this, this, and this and not delivering. Holding off on the camera update is ridiculous with no real date in sight. This is probably one of the best arguments for the Z fold 6 underperforming cameras. At least the telephoto lens are not on this camera array. If they intend not to excel beyond 30, then don't put them on the phone.
I've had my s24 ultra since it was released. The battery was a bit better than my s23 ultra, but with the update, it's gotten worse. Don't get me started on the screen it's a fingerprint magnet it looks like slush and oil from an oil spill. It always runs hot, not to the point that it's going to burn my hand, but it runs hotter that i would like.

Flagships need flagship grade cameras to be called flagship, skip the bullshits. S24 Ultra is not the s Pen or the screen, it has 4 cameras on the back, and is marketed as top camera phone, when clearly is not. 85% of S23-24 Ultra users don't use the S Pen, but they use daily the cameras, and yeah the camera system on the S24 Ultra is mediocre. Is clear from your take that you don't know shit about photography and videography when you say that a 1 inch sensor doesn't solve the problem. In a way you are right, because the problem is Samsung's catastrophic camera optimisations, lack of updates, lack of consistency in color and exposure, and many other inconsistencies which have no place in a 2024 flagship. Vivo, Oppo, Xiaomi, Huawei, even Apple, offer better phones with better displays, better cameras, better features, higher capacity batteries with silicon carbon high density, fast charging, better cooling, better camera system, aqua displays which allow you to type on wet displays, and real useful features.
They need to increase the size of the screen 2MMs . Christ, I'm so sick of 6.8. Everyone has capped out at 6.8. For another grand change the dam size Samsung. They've kept that size going for so long, that I changed over to a fold and once you have the fold it's a little overrated. I wish they would bring the note back,make it seven inches and call it a day. And when you cry about the size , it's literally two pencil tips larger. So really it's not the end of the world😢😢 And for the love of it all if you're into photography just buy a damn camera already 🤦♂️
