Very reminiscent of Charlie Byrd's version on his 'Butterflies'. LP. Not a comparison Howard. You both have different styles, but I'd love to hear you ply a nylon-strung guitar too! Thanks for this sensitive arrangement. Regards John
Hi, great sound and musical ideas of arranging, and beautiful instrument , what model of eastman guitars are this?and have idea of their price today? congratulations from monterrey mexico!!
Thank you for your comment. My guitar is an Eastman 905 archtop and I love it. If you get one I know you'll be happy with it. By the way, I use Tomastic-infeld Bebop round wound strings-14 gauge (14-18-22-32-40-55) These strings work like majic with the Eastman archtops. Best of luck, Howard
John Thank you for your comments. I agree with you that a nylon guitar has a very special sound and soul of its own. We all owe Charlie a debt for bringing the nylon string guitar to the American jazz audience. Best regards, Howard Morgen
Hey my man i truley admire your playing. (wish i had man moons behind my beld) i'm actually in the market for a decent jazz guitar i'v been looking at some easmans(may i ask what kind yours is. and i've also been looking at mattraines guitars.(ever heard of then?) thanks man!!!!

Thank you so much for your comment. I recently saw an absolutely fantastic performance and arrangement of My Funny Valentine from a Brazian guitarist whose last name is Castro. Check him out. I know you'll love it. Howard
This is amazing, you really have an ear and can tell where to drive! I am trying to learn jazz guitar myself. I picked up The Real Book, and I am getting better with the chords and such. My music theory is so so. I was wondering, what do you think is a good way to get started learning how to walk baselines and improvise with chords? Love your style man!
Simply fantastic. I am working through your fingerboard breakthrough course, and its been a huge eye opener for me. You are as great a teacher as you are a player. Thanks so much.
Awesome!!! I'm studying your Fingerboard Breakthrough dvd and it's opened up a whole new world on the guitar ... Brilliant Master teacher ... all guitar players from beginners to pros should learn from your course .... Thanks for this ...
