- Far from the 1W max claimed in the specifications. The best I got was 500mW and on PMR it drops to a mere 200mW. Very disappointing as it's basically a half watt radio.
The unit was set to max power via programming cable, the battery was fully charged and the test was performed on a decent meter to an appropriate dummy load.
On low power setting I got 100mW max. Brand new unit as well.
I'm getting tired of inflated power ratings on Baofengs to be honest, how desperate they seem these days resorting to these tactics.
Don't let them fool you and check the power levels claimed.
Best regards.
Very useful to know the exact power output of T1. Thank you for your test!
Good to know Jose! Thanks for reporting 👍
Kinda' like the C ratings on LiPo batteries! LOL

But my trusted Chinese eBay seller claims it's 2-watts ?!
Erm..

@@joseico90 Thanks. According to the specs low power should be around 0.5... Now I wonder if the setting makes a difference at all.
5 Watt?
0.5W
@@joseico90 not more? I have read about 1w it's possible on the software.
