Good to see you and how in the world did I miss Pattern Making Academy?? Would you consider doing a video about your VP duties at Simplicity? Would love to hear your behind the scenes on that.
Love these! My older friends who came up in the 70's used to call the super wide leg bell bottoms "elephant ears". You just had to be careful walking down steps in them cause all that leg fabric could swing around the other leg and trip you up! 😄
I am 76 and I don't think I will go back to the wide leg, did it in the 70's and the 90's back and forth with the leg lol. Don't want to look like the old granny but somewhere in between maybe. I have loved your vids since the beginning and find you a real inspiration for creative thinking. Thanks. hope you take some time for chillin'
Thanks for your review of these fabulous bell-bottoms. I bought the pattern and fabric last year and need the motivation to tackle them. I was around in the 70's and wore lots of bell-bottoms and want a pair - just because.
I'm about to make these, did you use a denim needle and denim thread? And, what size difference is the pattern from your real size. For ex. I'm a 6 or 8 in a pant and not sure if I should cut the 8 or 10 pattern. Thanks.
Wow! You did an amazing job as usual. I love the top stitching. Excellent!!! Thank you for sharing. BTW we understand how busy you are. Keep up the hustle! Blessings.
Great to see u , again!! Congrads n much success to u your husband, family n business collabs. Stay safe. I'm gonna review some of the sewing development resources you've setup "prayerfully" to sharpen my skill set. Can't wait to get your book😊 Thank u for ALL u continue to do.
I'm so excited for this. I'm doing my first mini collection in the Fall🥰🥰 I have been teaching for 10 years. Thank you for sharing and inspiring me to keep sewing. I love all your videos ❤️❤️ I will check out your pattern making class. I'm very interesting 🤗🤗 You rock!!
Oh, wow!!! I just bought a pattern of yours yesterday and while watching this video....I realize that YOURS is the store that I bought fabric in a few weeks ago and got class info for! 👌🏽 I will definitely be coming back to the store!
Love all your looks. I am hesitant to do denim I have bib overalls and I do have the stretch denim. One question 🙋♀️ which way should the stretch go. Across or up and down. Up and down makes sense to me 🤓 thank you so much. Wish I would like to take a class in person in Massachusetts 😆
Hey Mimi I bought me a table to cut fabric and I still haven’t started sewing I do go back to your old videos I been wanting to get a favorite outfit that has seen it’s last days and recreate it it’s not easy but I gotta get into it
You make any pattern yours and I Looooooove it. I just picked up a boatload of patterns at Joanns and I’m so hyped! ❤️U and Congrats on ALL the successful projects. ✌🏽
You look super cute in those. But I grew up in the 70s and for me that pattern is disappointing. The iconic Dittos brand pants of that era were not so wide at the hem nor so snug at the knee, but widened evenly and subtly from upper thigh to hem. They came mainly in colors rather than denim and didn't have vertical seams down the front if I remember correctly. The saddle seam in the back was a round curve, whereas this pattern seems to have it sort of squared off a bit. I don't remember any that had contrast colors, though it was my ambition at the time to make a rainbow or ombre pair (dark blue center back panels, medium blue sides, and light blue center front panels (then yes, you would need those extra seams). That was, however, one of many projects that I never even started. I might buy the pattern anyway and just make the changes. I wonder how they'll look on 60-something me
WOW! this is so cool I have been hunting for a review/sew-along for this pattern for two weeks. Love everything you do, you're my fave!!! Did you make a sew-along of this pattern? Also, the fly front do you have your own technique or did you follow the pattern? I'm attempting to make this in corduroy with a suede inset. Am I nuts(slight stretch on both fabrics)? Oh, and I'm older from the 70's haha!
~🌿Hi Mimi! Happy new year. I’ve tried following you on IG. If error no worries & if I have offended you in anyway it was not my intent to do so. Love your content. Blessings! ☺️
This is a great look from the past. I really enjoy your work. I grew up making my clothes but don’t do anymore. But I am trying to get back into it. I want to make a pencil skirt in many colors. Can you recommend a simple pattern that has elastic waist. I am a plus size 60 year old that doesn’t do a lot of stuck in blouses. But I love a good pencil skirt in a knit fabric. Thank you. Keep up your good work that you do.

I’ve made this pattern 4 times and did very little fit adjustments....absolutely love it. Love the ones you made so much!!!!!

I loved Bellbottom Dittos (from the 70s), I wonder if they’ll come out with the side saddle also?

Hello Desiree
I don’t see the link for the Pattern Making Academy in the description box. Did I miss it???😢
How can I sign up for the sewing class?
those pants use to be called BELL BOTTOMS back in the day or we would say "ROCK DA BELLS" whenever someone had on a pair of bell-bottoms.
Ok I’m not as curvy 34 27 35 . But those are so cute.
~🌿Hi Mimi! Happy new year. I’ve tried following you on IG. If error no worries & if I have offended you in anyway it was not my intent to do so. Love your content.

I’m 5 foot tall and 64 here’s old. These pants would look hideous on me!
Love your hair color; looks so sophisticated!
