Fashion in Stratford - I didn't have the means to buy fancy clothes so made them myself, went to the Drake Room at the Plymouth Arms (disco for Mods) feeling very inferior but then asked where I got my fantastic clothes! Ha!ha! DIY if you want to feel special!
Hey I was a Stratford teenager Does anyone remember me Bryan Whitehouse I was always in the top of the town coffee bar. Used to be called the blinking mandarin. Oh! What memories I have of those days. Anyone know these teenagers. Fred peak,Roy Roger's,Steven Edkins, David Brook,Clive Unit, julie Varden. Many more I could mention but forgot some of the names lol. Well I am 77 now next birthday December 30th. Yes I remember the primrose cafe
Yes the primrose cafe notorious for punch ups One name in particular Jesse bonehill. I only went once I think in that cafe. Pargetters my wife worked Barbara Lynch, oh some more names are coming to me now
Steve Sprigg, Barbara buggins.Minchin can't remember first name he rode a matchless motorcycle. I too rode motorcycle many happy times riding to Warwick,leamington Spa,Evesham a coffee bar there we used to go in can't remember the name omg lol. Oh another name Julie Shorey, Henry Higgins, Michel meadows, yes I am glad I was a teenager in Stratford upon avon. I enjoyed your video thanks for bringing those glory days. Stratford mop, highlite of the year. Then the runaway mop 2 weeks later. Great times wish I could go back to being a teenager again. Oh yes it was Allen Minchin. He was a teddy boy but converted back to a really nice guy, someone must remember mine and others names I mentioned if you were a teenager in Stratford in the 60s.
You've left a lot out, I have to say, now I've been throught the whole. We did quite a lot more. Mods and rockers, yes, rockers went to the Green Dragon on their motorbikes, mods congregated along the river with their scooters and even there, there were differences between the two (both Italian) makes of scooter ... Dig a bit deeper for better news ..
