Those that have never ridden nor been a passenger on a bike have no idea what they are missing.. I have a 1984 Honda Shadow 700C and it has taken me through decades of sunrises and sunsets.
Awesome, I have a '88 Shadow 750 and absolutely love it, might upgrade to a Shadow 1100 some day. My dream bike is a Honda VTX Fury 1300 but can't afford them unfortunatly :(
100% agree. It's hard to describe that feeling of freedom you get from ripping down the blacktop on two wheels. It's a high you just can't get from anything else
Great video Daniel. People who have never ridden will never understand the connection, respect and trust between man and machine. A very personal and real story.
I own a Harley Davidson 883 low, and a 2002 Honda Shadow American Classic Edition and to be quite honest they are my addiction. Riding those bikes give me a feeling that only other bikers can relate too. Live to Ride, Ride to Live!
Makes me love my old shadow. It's an OG 83. She's and old warhorse its got surface rust, scratched paint, a dent in the tank. It's been well cared for but the old girl shows her age. It's honestly my favorite bike out of my collection partly because it was my first bike.
Danny, I have a motorcycle in my garage since 2009, but I park it after 3 accidents incidents in 2011. Short story you inspire me to ride again, I feel every thing you say in this video. Love your ride. Be safe Thank you. GOD BLESS.
Awesome, totally classy and totally personal. Most people are like: "This is me, this is my bike." Ya'll did it up right though, great job on this film! Nice treatment on the bike too, I'm liking the weathered look.
This is great! A film of this quality about motorcycles is pretty rare on UA-cam. Refreshing to find good cinematography in a film about motorcycles and their owners.
The first time I drove my bike at night there was a full moon and it was a nearly clear sky…..was one of the coolest feelings ever! Out on the road by myself no one else around and only the noise of my shadow
Danny I hear you Brother I have just begun to ride and I wish everyone around me could experience the feeling of riding and especially into a beautiful sunset.
I just bought my first bike couple days a go on craigslist , so shes is in new home now :) beauty black 2003 Honda shadow Ace 750 :) just $1500 , also I'm the second owner, the title say new with just 1 miles, now she has 24000 miles, by the way, I'm so happy :)
Nice Film short documentary on a realist do it yourself "Trial and Error" experience. This is so true and I been saying it for decades "Respect the machine, respect the ride". Bike turned out nice on the Vintage look. Iron Maiden Eddie looks good on it too.
Great video. After a year sober from booze. Just fell into motos. Never looked back 85 Suzuki Madura 1200 my baby leavn her alone. 02 1100 spirit all cust.my latest. Mr2's rule!!
Corect me if I´m wrong but I think that is the Angeles National Forest , LA to Palmdale Ca., highway. I knew it the minute you took off on your bike. 15 years away from the US, but your video brought back good memories, nice flashbacks. I will get a Honda Shadow 750 to ride all Mexico´s Wests coast highways.
This is a cool a** video. I love to hear from people who just enjoy the ride. No matter what they are riding. I respect people who ride the Rat Rods, they may not look the greatest but they have character.
I wish i had a Honda Shadow back when i first started riding. My first street bike was a 1976 Kawasaki 650cc The Kawasaki was a wrecked bike. I rode it till the wiring caught on fire. It only lasted a little over a year. My second bike was a 1973 Honda 754cc. The Honda was the best bike i ever owned. I have owned about 30 bikes after that. I just bought my first cruiser 2 years ago. Its a Honda VTX 1300cc. So far its a great running bike.
It looks like this guy understands what riding is all about. It’s not about having the flashiest bike. Just as long as it has two wheels and a motor. Just you and your machine and the freedom it brings. Nothing feels better.
Thanks 4 video brother - cool ..appreciate the deep thoughts. I ve been ridin for 30 years since I was 18 and 10 yrs ago lost my ‘86 bike to a local shop for storage fees when I got deployed , got injured, surgeries and couldn’t t pick it up, it was mint n ran like a Swiss watch and I sorely missed it, Well , raised 3 kids later - oldest graduating Law school this Monday and I picked up a 99 1100 Honda Shadow 6 months ago don t know the mileage had no speedo ( didn t really care ran great ) put some ape bars on it replaced front forks with big Harley trees w/no fenders - Bobbed it out and she looks bad ass. Wifey doesn’t t understand my fascination as she thinks I’m too old for it now but I love the sunset by the ocean and that salt water ocean smell n spray on my face when I’m cruising by Beach as well as the sunrise and sunsets after long work day in the summers here in NY. I am grateful for the freedom, and appreciate it, some people just don’t.- Avg GI Joe.
Nice video,i have a honda shadow a.c.e,i love it!i havnt rode in 20 years, man was i missing out! Thanks i can relate to this a lot!Growing up in cali in the 60's and 70's,brother in laws brother was a hell's angel, brother in law raced flat track on a triumph.I started out on minibike and worked my way up to big bikes.Anyway thanks!
I love the feeling of just the motor and ground ,you got this machine to control so close to the ground and the wind just flowing through your body ,my first experience regardless of the motorcycle was a mini chopper going 50mph and then get pulled over lol what a rush
I have only recently discovered your channel, but I have to say that it is one of my favorite UA-cam channels. I am not a bike guy, but here I am captivated by this video. Incredible work, and awesome channel! Keep up the awesome work!
There's a lot of love for this vid and that makes it somewhat hard for me to go "against the grain", but honestly, it's painful for me to see someone F up a perfectly decent bike for the sake of "making it their own". Each to his own I suppose. Thought this comment thread needed an alternate view point. Nice video work nonetheless and I appreciate this guy sharing his story.
my pasion for riding two wheels started on a mini bike up the LA riverbed. with a skate helmet and some paintball goggles lookin like mad max at 70mph. Those were the days. then i graduated to my 95 vlx600. riding is freedom
Good story. Gotta say, that chopped "rat" Shadow has a really proud stance, and this old man's had some old school choppers in his day -- never thought I would say I like a chopped Shadow... so I'm stick'n to my guns; instead I'll just say, I love the way that bike looks.
I am on my 23rd bike.....Harleys, british bikes, japanese, etc....have a 1975 stroker ironhead....my best bike was a 1987 Suzuki Intruder....fast bike, handled great, kept up with Ecery v twin out there! Bought it in 2001 for 800.00 witg 68,000 miles!!!! Ran great! Regret sellibg it! New Harleys suck! Bunch of broken dicks and hipsters ridectgem now! Get a Japanese bike and rip into it your way!!!!
I first rode Honda Rebel 250 2 years ago and I go to work on sunrise and came back home at sunsets. I agree with you. I always felt like I'm totally free when riding on either sunrise & sunsets. Too bad I had an accident with my rebel and I need to find other bike to replace it. Currently Im riding a knock off xv250 tracker. Doesn't have the same feeling I had when I'm on my cruiser. I'm thinking of selling this bike again and I'm getting a Shadow or xv535 next.
Sure are tough.I crashed into a jcb years back on my 400 shadow .When I got out of hospital it still started despite being twisted and really banged up.They have been my favourite bike ever since and all I ever ride
Nice job on the motorcycle and I have to agree with you taking trip on a motorcycle versus a car, is that on a motorcycle you experience the trip, every temperature change you fill the moisture in the air or whether it goes dry it's a much better experience.
Totally agree. Too many things in life are overly complicated by just adding stuff. Hell, the new Goldwings have a freaking tv on the dash! All you need is two wheels and the wind
"...you have to respect the machine" And he sands it down and leaves it in the rain. I mean, the way it looks has it's own charm, but I ain't calling it my cup of tea.
I have exactly the same Honda VXL 600 they good motorcycles and there's a lot of stuff that you can do to make them look better it was a cool video and cool bike!! I would like to know where did you get that full face helmet lol 😂
I can't wait to get to customize my 2003 Shadow 750. Just got a 2nd bike (2014 Valkyrie) so I can repair what's worn out and have fun with the appearance. If you don't ride, you really should try it. City life, at least, is certainly better on 2 wheels.
just bought an 01 Honda Shadow spirit 750 for $1500. I already hung 16" apes, new brake line, extended my wires, waiting on cables, made a heel-toe shifter, lowered the back, whitewalls front and back. it's almost ready to ride, I just want to catch the tail end of summer and ride the fall. then I'll save up to paint the whole thing over winter
ATL, Year round rider 4 1/2 years now, no car, What dude says truth bomb 110%,, It's almost impossible to put in words what riding has given me I just know Wind Therapy now is my way of life and something I cannot go long without, And im on a vt750dc 2007 now since the beginning of April.(2020), And im all in on my Honda y'all, 2 fingered Road Salute 2 all my fellow 2 wheeled enthusiast!!! one of my all time best video, never get tired of watching it over and over again when ever i came across it, excellent work, well done
Spoken from the heart
100% agree. It's hard to describe that feeling of freedom you get from ripping down the blacktop on two wheels. It's a high you just can't get from anything else
i totally agree with you.... riding to the sunset with your headphones on.. good music and that amazing feeling
Great video Daniel. People who have never ridden will never understand the connection, respect and trust between man and machine. A very personal and real story.
Real biker, real bike and no getting side tracked on specs, hp torque and other bs that shouldn't matter so much. Great video bro. I love the risers.

By far one of my favorites!
Nice Film short documentary on a realist do it yourself "Trial and Error" experience. This is so true and I been saying it for decades "Respect the machine, respect the ride". Bike turned out nice on the Vintage look. Iron Maiden Eddie looks good on it too.
I'm big into harleys but that is one badass bike
Yo I loved this man. It's the truth behind riding a bike and becoming one with it. Deep.

I don't know how many times I've watched this video hoping to own a shadow. I finally bought one and I'm so exited to start riding!
By far my favorite bike is a Honda Shadow. Great Episode
I also love my 2009 Shadow. My son wants me to get a Harley like him-I tell him I enjoy the ride and comfort I get when I ride-cruise along and enjoy.
An update on this guy and his shadow?
It looks like this guy understands what riding is all about. It’s not about having the flashiest bike. Just as long as it has two wheels and a motor. Just you and your machine and the freedom it brings. Nothing feels better.
Great story.
Beautiful film, sweet bike.
I love the sound of your bike bro
I love my Shadow. It does Harley better than Harley, and Indian better than Indian. The Shadow definitely is the king of cruisers.
Yeah no Indian scouts may be untested for reliability but it's eons above the shadow.
In literally every respect barring reliability
The feeling we go after ...is that awesome...got to experience it to really know
I love this!! I love the idea of the whole rustic-ness of old bobbers and cafe racers!
Do you happen to have anymore on motorcycles because your video presentation is on point!! Hope to see more..
I have a 2004 Honda Davidson shadow 600 love it always gets me home.
Thanks 4 video brother - cool ..appreciate the deep thoughts.

Nice job on the motorcycle and I have to agree with you taking trip on a motorcycle versus a car, is that on a motorcycle you experience the trip, every temperature change you fill the moisture in the air or whether it goes dry it's a much better experience.
I had a 07 shadow, loved it. I ride a 1200 Sportster now 👍
Awesome story. Awesome ride. 👍
Love the basic approach.
Totally agree. Too many things in life are overly complicated by just adding stuff. Hell, the new Goldwings have a freaking tv on the dash! All you need is two wheels and the wind
My first bike was a VT700. Rode that thing everywhere! !!
badass shadow
Yep and super cheap to build
Super cheap is what I need for my next build
"...you have to respect the machine"
And he sands it down and leaves it in the rain.
I mean, the way it looks has it's own charm, but I ain't calling it my cup of tea.
Георгий Каштанов you're Russian you don't get a say
This is done so well, love the bike
I have exactly the same Honda VXL 600 they good motorcycles and there's a lot of stuff that you can do to make them look better it was a cool video and cool bike!!

Great video I have a 86 Honda shadow VT500 and love the fall riding with a nice leather jacket on and riding into my own sunrise..
I can't wait to get to customize my 2003 Shadow 750. Just got a 2nd bike (2014 Valkyrie) so I can repair what's worn out and have fun with the appearance. If you don't ride, you really should try it. City life, at least, is certainly better on 2 wheels.
Thats an awesome Rat Bike dude...so super cool!!!
@6:14 ... Spoken language doesn't have the means to describe the experience of riding. The only way to understand is to ride. Great little film, bro!
Looks sweet
Nice story. My bike is shadow 2005. I love it.
Wow. Love this video. Still have no idea how you left it outside and controlled rusting but good on you. Save riding.

Beautiful bike

Bro you did yours so much like mine. Rusty, hardtailed, and not giving a fukkkk.
Great job man.
I left my frame in the rain numerous times
Awesome video. What a great bike Danny. 750?

I already hung 16" apes, new brake line, extended my wires, waiting on cables, made a heel-toe shifter, lowered the back, whitewalls front and back. it's almost ready to ride, I just want to catch the tail end of summer and ride the fall. then I'll save up to paint the whole thing over winter

If that moto was mine, I would clean only the white stripes on the tires. It gives another look to the moto.
I wanted my first bike to be a rebel, an underpowered bike, something that resembled my attitude - my life - and a few years later my friend was selling a pristine 2006 hondae shadow aero and I bought it! 750. I was SO out of my element...
But here I am feeling so rad and happy. . . But I tell you this...
It's not going to be my only bike!
I want to enjoy a few, like a few different jackets!
Great episode!!!!!! Keep them Rollin!
Dude that thing at the end sounded sick like a fuckin muscle car from the 60s or something man damn
