VT750 ACE Duel carb, Carb AND Exhaust backfiring when giving it throttle. White-ish smoke coming out of exhaust. (Just cleaned the carb and added the performance tuning kit with velocity stacks.)
Afterfire cones out the exhaust. Backfire comes out the carb. Unfortunately I can't diagnose from here but it sounds like you either plugged the wrong vacuum ports and or left the wrong ones open. Watch the 4 part dual carb rebuild series on the channel and I'm sure you'll see what's going on
my country sucks, it doesnt allow to drill into the frame itself or weld any shit directly on it. do you have another idea on how we could accomplish that fender and Sissybar? thanks for the help
Can you install the fender/sissy bar combo if you keep the mono-shock? In one of your previous videos you mentioned not to install a sissy bar on the swing-arm if you keep the rear shock because of the tuning fork effect
with this setup, you might need to weld in a seat support. Our 50% hardtail kit would be a bit more ideal id think. The seat might need some flexing of the seat pan to get everything to line up the way you want.
Ok, dumb autisic/ocd, but honest question.. your 2x 3/8s ratchets; in your 'dad' wisdom, ( you welding in the old holes, so you could redrill them for us gives you golden-dad-streamlight status) would you rather have the one long, and one slightly shorter, or 2 the same longer length? Obviously leverage is better, but any pros and cons you've noticed from having the different lengths? I just got a GearWrench one, and its longer than my 3/8 breaker bar, lol- That combo should keep me good for a while. However, ive been getting decent dopamine from buying quality tools lately. Just stacking up all my garage projects for the winter.. I actully just copped an '86 elite deluxe 150, and am super stoked on it!! Thanks for your time, Sincerely, a semipoor, obsessive person.
Hey I just got a vt600 shadow and I have a question, where the frame was cut it hits the rear swing arm and they dent each other, i don’t know why, I mean these are stock parts (only the fender struts were chopped) I think there should be some sort of travel limit when the shock is fully compressed and the frame should have a minimum of clearance. Should I take the shock apart and put a rubber washer on the piston rod to limit the travel? I’d done that on my old sportster. Looking forward to your reply.
Welp, sounds like quite the conundrum sir, our suggestion, is to buy this: shoptjbc.com/products/50-weld-on-hardtail-kit-for-the-vt600-88-07?_pos=5&_sid=363172fb2&_ss=r it will help you turn into a real boy.
In your video you say the fender is roughly 9 inches wide. On your website they say they are all 7". Do you have a fender thats 8" or 9"? I have a 200 rear tire that Im trying to fit. Thanks
Can anyone let me know why is it when I change gears on my 1999 honda shadow vlx 600 it is hard to change gears it shifts in and out of every gear but it's just hard it's almost if I don't have boots one it's impossible to shift but it can be done with boots on just have to put alot of pressure to make it go into gear the clutch leaver is good it dose not slip or anything..... if anyone can help it would be much appreciated thanks
Hoping you can help me out hard tailing my 93 shadow 600 gravity feeding the tank and removing fuel pump. Can I then remove the wires for the fuel pump and fuel pump relay back to the main harness without issue? I've been searching for info on it and can't seem to find it.
just unplug it and see what happens! if it runs fine unplugged, (which it will) then you can trim your wires back. make sure to terminate the wires so they dont contact anything and dont allow moisture in!
@@TJBRUTALCUSTOMS appreciate it so much I kinda figured it should run but seeing it was tied into the coils I wanted to make sure it didn't affect those as well. As far as my connections go everything will be neatened up and all connections are going to be twisted then have the solder shrink on them

If I put a seat, is there a chance it won't work if someone rides on the back?
So, you don't have seat now?

Do you think i could mount this to a vt1100 im not seeing many options for that bike?
As the stock 1100 sits no, but if you were to cut a lot off and fabricate a lot more, anything is possible.
