Merry Christmas!! I think you guys should do a whole like living room scene (fireplace, tree, couch, joob, …) Love you guys so much, you guys have seriously changed my life! Enjoy the holidays!
My brain switches on to overwhelming mode at nighttime. It's like ASMR but not as... well, I can't stand the softness of people's voices. So, turning a video of Evan and Katelyn helps and actually demolishes the overwhelming thoughts of my weird brain. I would even multitask with them. I work from home, turn them on and listen and sort of watch while I work. Just so relaxing and calming for some reason. Maybe it's because I'm a hopeless romantic. It would be nice to do things like this with a very special someone.
They do sell electric felting needle machines 😊 It also really matters which size needles you use, the fine ones makes it take forever 😅 I love using a form but you do really need to turn it to get the best results ❤
Imagine my delight when Katelyn says "we've spent so much time on just the body" and Evan says "the majority of the time is spent creating the base" and I looked at the time and there was still over two hours left of the video
At about 46:52 when Evan is making the eyeballs, the sound the needle makes on the felt and the mat sounds like Bob Ross when he stipples his paint brush on the canvas. That's so specific, but I was crocheting while watching this and that's all I could think of when I heard it without looking at it haha
Needle Felting with cookie cutters was basically my childhood! I pricked a friend in kindergarden once while needle felting a star xD Merry Christmas btw, in Germany we‘re unpacking our presents now!❤
If you need any more needle felting hacks I've seen in other videos that you can cut small details out of felt sheets and felt them onto your sculpture with the needles :)
Structural gingerbread for like ornaments and gingerbread houses tends to be dense, dry and not very tasty because they're not really meant to be eaten. Gingerbread cookies you're meant to eat tend to be softer and more tasty. The best ones are crispy in the outsife and soft and a bit gooey on the inside. And then ginger bread, like a loaf of bread, is soft and cake like. Perfect for afternoon tea, or when you need a warm hug for your tummy.
Always look forward to new videos, I've probably watched all your videos from the past few years more than 5 times. Even more if you consider every night that I put you guys on for background noise to sleep to
That was a lot of fun as a relaxed thing to watch while cuddling with the cats after christmas dinner, needed something soothing to do, this was perfect. I love your streams so much, watchign the uncut is the next best thing!
The mega needle is actually really useful for felting large planes.. which would actually make it great for this particular project. But it would work best for cleaning and tightening up your work after using the cookie cutter. The trick to using it efficiently is twisting the handle as you use it so the head rotates a little with each stab. Great vid. Love you guys. Merry Christmas 😁❤️
Thanks so much for taking the time to do this stream for us. I'd love to see you guys making more needle felted ornaments next year. I really like the idea of a little living room scene or kitchen scene, as someone else mentioned.
Is it just me, or is watching needle felting more like a thriller than calming to anyone else? My few attempts at this lovely craft have ended each time with a needle in the finger, and apparently, the pain has left a permanent mark on my muscle memory. And yet, I still bought new needles just recently, and I have a pile of wool waiting.😂
Merry Christmas yall!! BTW gingerbread from house kits are nasty but homemade gingerbread cookies and bread are delicious!! Love the spices and molasses together.
It took me Ages to get through this one ( I watch over my breakfast) but I wanted to say Thank you so much for this episode!!! I was gifted cute Nativity cookie cutters years ago and had no clear vision of what to do with them; I knew I'd never make cookies with them. Now I know!!! 🎄❤️🎄
I love crafting along to these videos, even if it's not the same craft. It feels like in a craft group or something ^•^ I was crocheting while watching this
I made a needle felted stitch as a gift for my best friend this year. She loved it! Also it just so happened she was wearing stitch pjs when she came to my house. :D
For the last few years I've been in charge of Christmas prep at my parents' house, and I usually don't have time to put the tree up until Christmas Eve.
I love little pudgy stars ❤ They're kinda hard to find. Really, anything that appeals to you, and you have fun with. But you should know, they DO have machine needle felting tools! They're pricey, and I hear it's easy to overdo it. Might be something you guys could test out.
King Arthur Flour’s gingerbread mix plus a bit of espresso powder makes a great, moist loaf. A bit “dense” the way a pound cake might be. Delicious. Great for chocolate fondue!
Just starting the video now, I hope they stumble on “ginger-dead man”, because when it came into my head seeing the thumbnail that pun made me giggle for a very long time. EDIT; 1:35:57 A glorious chatter had the same thought as me. Today we truly share one brain cell, it’s a Christmas miracle!
I love the idea that even if the star is the only non-scary looking ornament, he's actually an eldritch god that _caused_ the other ornaments to be as injured and as scary looking as they are.
The trick with quickly building up needle felted bases is to find a nice core wool. It’s way more rough and builds up fast. Then use the silky colorful stuff to put over it. Saves the colors and is so much faster. Also using large needles to build the base, then switch to a medium to refine and a small to polish.
I had the same thought! After thinking about it though, a tattoo needle only travels a few mm up and down, it probably wouldn't be long enough to needle felt with. Perhaps a modified tattoo gun would work though.
The difference in you guys doing resin, and doing this, amuses me XD All the protective gear for resin, none for the stabbing tools super close to your fingers. They make little leather finger covers for needle felting so if you stab yourself it's less likely to get your skin
I almost scrolled past this vid but then I was like: wait a minute… that’s Evan and Katelyn… their newest video 😨 I must watch >:D (And basically that’s how I’m here now)
You could wet the wool once felted to make it denser / firmer. There are even techniques using water while or before felting the wool together ✨🫶🏼 Love your videos especially the long ones ❤
Kaitlyn is doing sumsum. Love you guys and your vids. You're throwing some seggsy vibes today tho. Never really thought of either of you that way cuz you're so wholesome but today it's something different. Evan is still throwing wholesomeness with his Christmas sweater and self lol
Happy holidays to you all! I am so glad you made this video. I just realised how time consumig felting is. And I was just about to by some supplies and try it. I like you a lot and even with you it was boring. The result is great though!
Cats tend to love wool because its scent and the feel of natural fibers on their paws / rubbing fur against it. If they eat the fibers it *can* cause intestinal blockages but this is less common for adult cats, avoid giving wool toys to kittens. You should look at wet felted cat caves, I bet Jube would love it!
To save on the felting wool, I use bits of knitting yarn to bulk it out and cover it in the merino felting wool, and I find the yarn helps to secure the initial felting.
I don't really know much about American Gingerbread, but as a German, I need to defend our Lebkuchen, especially Elisen Lebkuchen. True, we do have cheap stuff on supermarket shelves, too, but real good Lebkuchen is tasty! It doesn't taste much like ginger, though, but more like cinnamon and other christmassy spices. The high-quality Elisen Lebkuchen are even without flour, just nuts and almonds, sugar and spices. Then usually coated either in sugary glaze or chocolate. These keeps them slightly moist in the inside. They are not as dense as fruit bread, but can be similar. The gingerbread hearts they sell on faires, like the Oktoberfest, are made with more flour and are quite tough. They are edible, but if you keep them as decoration, they dry and become really tough. I guess these hearts, especially the mass produced ones, are similar to your experience with gingerbread houses. I worked for a company once that ships Lebkuchen from Nuremberg worldwide - we shipped a lot to expats in the US, South America and even Australia (although we could not guarantee they wouldn't melt in the southern hemisphere...) If you want, you should check out some of these companies next year! Shipping will be a bit, but especially as a new customer, you can save on some offers.
Evan, you should look into coccyx pillows if you don't have one already, mine has done wonders for my back while sitting for my job! It has a hole where your coccyx rests so there's less pressure on your spine.
On a completely unrelated note Katlyns hair has a purpleish tint to it due to the lights but i think it really suits her and maybe she should get purple highlights?

Evan: "you only get one pair of eyes. Its good to be as safe as possible with them..." Me watching this while my parrot is preening my eyelashes: "... uh..." 😅
Merry Christmas y'all! We're SO happy with how these turned out we might just need to do more next year. If so, what shapes/designs should we try for?
Merry xmas!! 💕💕
Merry Christmas!! I think you guys should do a whole like living room scene (fireplace, tree, couch, joob, …) Love you guys so much, you guys have seriously changed my life! Enjoy the holidays!
Onion shapes
Merry Christmas ❤
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁
Reindeer 🦌 and the Grinch 😅
Love this! Y’all should try needle felting a Bob Ross tutorial next.
Ironically, if you close your eyes, it sounds like Bob Ross pushing the paint brush against the canvas when they push the needle through the felt.
Please see this !!!!
Tbh I feel like that would take forever
I want to see this now
Absolutely 💯
Don't take this the wrong way, but I fall asleep to your extended videos. You guys are so comforting for me and these vids do the trick. Thank you!!!
I always put their resin playlist on to fall asleep to
Used to do that too during my exam weeks, had way too much stress to properly sleep before a few specific exams xD
🤦🏽♀️me too
Glad to here I am not the only ones!
My brain switches on to overwhelming mode at nighttime. It's like ASMR but not as... well, I can't stand the softness of people's voices. My sister-in-law has a felted cat bed/hut for her cats and they LOVE it! That would be a cool project to try next!
I enjoy sitting and crocheting while you felt. It’s like we are crafting together
Hello fellow crocheter! Whatycha making? I made a beautiful lotcus flower blanket from Hooked By Robin I made for a friend of mine.
Yess me too! I actually watched this vid a few times while I was making a long sleeve crop top in crochet hahaha
@@purplebec9112making a hat for my friend! Next will be emotional support pickles for my coworkers lol
@@IWantToRideMyBike aww, that's so sweet of you!
Count me in! I’ve been working on a cow plush throughout this haha
They do sell electric felting needle machines 😊
It also really matters which size needles you use, the fine ones makes it take forever 😅
I love using a form but you do really need to turn it to get the best results ❤
I didn’t know if they did or didn’t but I was like “oh, like a tattoo gun”
Evan one of my first jobs was working in a “make/paint your own” pottery shop too! I helped people and cleaned up glaze.
I did ceramics class in high school as an elective. It was so cool to learn. Making things from clay! ❤
Knitted a whole llama while watching you make ornaments, felt like was doing crafts with you 😂 hope you both have a lovely Christmas
Imagine my delight when Katelyn says "we've spent so much time on just the body" and Evan says "the majority of the time is spent creating the base" and I looked at the time and there was still over two hours left of the video

Yes
Needle Felting with cookie cutters was basically my childhood! I pricked a friend in kindergarden once while needle felting a star xD
Merry Christmas btw, in Germany we‘re unpacking our presents now!❤
Merry Christmas and hugs from Prague ❤
As a felter it’s very entertaining watching you guys felt. Evan is a natural
If you need any more needle felting hacks I've seen in other videos that you can cut small details out of felt sheets and felt them onto your sculpture with the needles :)
I’ve seen this done also, and it looks really cool 😊
Structural gingerbread for like ornaments and gingerbread houses tends to be dense, dry and not very tasty because they're not really meant to be eaten.

Haha I just finished needle felting my sister a little cat, that looks like hers, right before seeing this! I can't wait to relax and watch this 💜
That was a lot of fun as a relaxed thing to watch while cuddling with the cats after christmas dinner, needed something soothing to do, this was perfect. I love your streams so much, watchign the uncut is the next best thing!

Please do more needle felting! It’s so therapeutic to watch
I love Katelyn's Wookie cookie. It's a real chewybacca

make sure to wear your finger guards! And if you keep stabbing the fingers that aren't protected, get some leather gloves.
Merry Christmas yall!! BTW gingerbread from house kits are nasty but homemade gingerbread cookies and bread are delicious!! Love the spices and molasses together.
1:14:14 that green is perfect for the grinch, that’s what I thought they were going to make when I seen it😂.

Oooh! I've played around with needle felting and I've made a few sets of ornaments! Look forward to seeing what you create 😊
lolol thees two are like a dutch oven, warm smelly and full of comfort awwe a good ol holiday yay for evan and caitlin
I love crafting along to these videos, even if it's not the same craft. It feels like in a craft group or something ^•^
I was crocheting while watching this
I made a needle felted stitch as a gift for my best friend this year. She loved it! Also it just so happened she was wearing stitch pjs when she came to my house. :D
These are amazing ornaments! The details on the tree one are incredible!
I think the star is my favorite. It's odd for me because usually Katelyn's creations are my favorite. I wish we could see them on your tree!!!
I just bought myself a kit and this is so soothing of a hobby and i needed a new one thank you guys for the links!!
Katelyn's face after even said "BALLS" 😳and remember were not that type of channel 0:11
The high five in the beginning was so smooth! Like it was planned but you guys are just om the same wave length ❤
@evanandkatelynuncut please do a video where you paint under red light, so you don't see the colors you use. Would be so much fun!😊
For the last few years I've been in charge of Christmas prep at my parents' house, and I usually don't have time to put the tree up until Christmas Eve.
Oh my gosh you guys this was such a great idea!!! ❤ now I know what to do with my needle felting supplies I've had for like 7 years lol
I love little pudgy stars ❤ They're kinda hard to find. Really, anything that appeals to you, and you have fun with. But you should know, they DO have machine needle felting tools! They're pricey, and I hear it's easy to overdo it. Might be something you guys could test out.

"Napoleon Bony-Parts" popped into my mind, but your "ginger-dead man" idea is way better 😁
I love the idea that even if the star is the only non-scary looking ornament, he's actually an eldritch god that _caused_ the other ornaments to be as injured and as scary looking as they are.
But if you mix the resin and felt together or a resin over the finished felt?
Homemade ginger bread is amazing. My mom makes the best gingerbread cookies. Soft and chewy
You should do a needle felt play button for the new year
Such a chill video and that red colour looks so good on Katelyn
The trick with quickly building up needle felted bases is to find a nice core wool. It’s way more rough and builds up fast. Then use the silky colorful stuff to put over it. Saves the colors and is so much faster. Also using large needles to build the base, then switch to a medium to refine and a small to polish.
I did some felted pumpkins from crafters box and I totally want to do more so this is useful, thanks for sharing the technique
Would a tattoo gun work as an automatic needle felting tool?
I need them to try !
I had the same thought! After thinking about it though, a tattoo needle only travels a few mm up and down, it probably wouldn't be long enough to needle felt with. Perhaps a modified tattoo gun would work though.
Big brain moment 🧠
Probably not. Needle felting needles have little barbs along the needle to 'grip' the wool whereas tattoo needles are entirely smooth.
Maybe it does have a lot of needles.
It has been SO relaxing watching you two do this! Y'all are charming AF 😂❤🎉
Happy holidays everyone 💚💙💜❤️ and kiss to Joob!
They are like the sweeeter family friendly version of man vs pin😂❤️
Merry Christmas Evan and Katelyn! Love watching your videos!!
Watching this while wrapping needle felting kits for my nephews! 😂❤ Happy Holidays!
The holiday streams are definitely some of my favorites! Hope you guys have a happy holiday!!

Thanks for uploading this livestream. Its perfect for wrapping presents to! 😅
love the reclining ability 😊❤

3 hours is sped up! Awesome crafting!
I love Neil the Seal , it’s his world and we’re all just living in it
I watched while wrapping Christmas presents. ❤ It was lots of fun!
LOVE, LOVE the Joob-ilee Tree🎄😻🌟
Merry Christmas guys sending everyone Blessings and hugs and love please be safe .
Not Evan's stabbing turning into soothing lofi for my ears in the middle of the night
Merry Christmas 🎄 I always love watching these uncut projects; such a nice way to unwind after a big day 😁
Oh there is such a thing as a needle felting gun! :D I’ve seen someone making a Kirby with a felting gun
I love it when you do craft projects 😊
I'm gonna watch this while decorating my actual cookies! love you guys
YAY! This was such a perfect cute lil thing for Christmas Eve viewing 😌
I've been watching this for like 2 days now on and off just putting it on like a podcast lol
You could wet the wool once felted to make it denser / firmer. There are even techniques using water while or before felting the wool together ✨🫶🏼
Love your videos especially the long ones ❤
A regular iron on a steam setting also works.
Kaitlyn is doing sumsum. Love you guys and your vids. You're throwing some seggsy vibes today tho. Never really thought of either of you that way cuz you're so wholesome but today it's something different. Evan is still throwing wholesomeness with his Christmas sweater and self lol
Love how I was washing my hands while Evan started prancing the audience so I didn’t even realize for a little bit
4:28 I wonder if a tattoo rotary pen would work? Even tho they have fine needles I wonder if it will do it if you got a higher number mag cartridge???
Happy holidays to you all! I am so glad you made this video. I just realised how time consumig felting is. And I was just about to by some supplies and try it. I like you a lot and even with you it was boring. The result is great though!

Merry Christmas to you both.
Your needle felting ornaments all turned out super cute
Merry Christmas E & K!

There is an industrial felting machine but it’d take up your entire room lol 😆 love these. Jubi needs to be a cookie cutter!
So much fun!
Evan, you should look into coccyx pillows if you don't have one already, mine has done wonders for my back while sitting for my job! It has a hole where your coccyx rests so there's less pressure on your spine.
You really need to make all the trees! Fernando, Pinelope, Spruce Willis and Spruse Wayne etc.
Well now we need an « Accurate bowl noises » t-shirt! 🤣😂🤣
Dude, I love NEIL The seal! Im enjoy his content.
On a completely unrelated note Katlyns hair has a purpleish tint to it due to the lights but i think it really suits her and maybe she should get purple highlights?
I want to celebrate Christmas eve like this
A tattoo machine pretty much does what you asked for in the beginning of the video. it is a needle up and down machine and I think you can get them with adjustable depth or that might be a basic feature.
Davy Bones the GingerDeadMan, an icon
Just ordered a needle felting kit 😅 I’m excited
Make the star in white and then cover it in yellow proof. You have never bought a full kit because the full kit has a little thing with the molds they're not cookie cutters there punched out felted molds patterns. You can make letters and teddy bears and all kinds of things.
One thing I can recommend when needle felting is using a foam base. U just cut out a larger version of the shape you want to make and wrap it in wool
A warning to anyone that wants to try this out: Those needles can mess you up! Watch those fingers when you work. I had a small dot on my thumb for years from just barely poking myself with them before. SUPER fun thing to do once you know what you're doing though. I made so many pokemon.
Making thick and dense items takes time. I usually worked with a single needle and could move pretty fast, but my larger projects were a workout lol.
Evan: "you only get one pair of eyes. Its good to be as safe as possible with them..."
Me watching this while my parrot is preening my eyelashes: "... uh..." 😅
OMG CHILL "Sueprviser"Joob came in, looking like my district manager just judgeily
stiffing her checkpoints hahahha

I dropped my phone on my face as they said ah oop 14:49
