its a really fun game, but it took me like 2 hours to get used to the controls. that was the hardest part for me. plus its free so just download it and give it a go, see for yourself if you like it man
In vanilla it’s much less overwhelming and you can play slowly until you get used to it, with FIRS and loads of mods it can be overwhelming for sure but you can start with vanilla.
I was all set to criticize these chumps for playing such a boring old game, but then I realized that there simply aren't that many good multiplayer strategy games around that the Yogs haven't already played to death. They've played enough Civ and Hearts of Iron to last a lifetime, and still have Total War and X-Com going on other channels. They tried Stellaris a couple times, but that landed with a solid thud. There are zillions of RTS games out there, but they're mostly pretty old. That genre seems more or less dead at this point. Hmm.... I really don't think this crew is up to playing Starcraft. Company of Heroes, maybe? The one game I'd absolutely love to see them try is Europa Universalis. I'm not sure it has good multiplayer support, but if so it would be loads of fun to see Lewis as Austria... Duncan as France... Sjin as East Frisia... :)
Yeah, that one occurred to me too. But I think the problem with games like that one -- or most RTSs, for that matter -- is that they're too intense to make for a good recording. These guys need downtime to tell their ridiculous stories, and anything that requires too much concentration means they only have spare brainpower to talk about what they're doing at that moment -- which, let's be honest, isn't really all that entertaining. Chill games like Open TTD provide the right atmosphere, even if the game itself is kind of crappy.
