I worked in the metal industry from 86-96 this is absolutely the most criminally underrated and overlooked hard rock band ever. Fire down under is the perfect album I’d rate with highway to hell,back in black,black tiger,in rock we trust,vh first four ,high n dry ,blizzard of ozz or pyromania
Saw these guys back in 1980 (supporting Sammy Hagar) and 81 (supporting Saxon) - both at the Hammersmith Odeon in London - awesome! Saw Rick Ventura's Riot Act last year playing Riot tunes - well worth your money!!!
Never made it big? They were massive to me! Every playlist I ever made back in the cassette days had a number of Riot songs on it to play on the journey to work or wherever. They were among my favorite bands. R.I.P. Mark and Guy.
One of the first Metal Bands that actually Got it. That, and one of the best Metal bands that ever was. Check out Fire Down Under: Literally, my favorite Metal album.
I was 18years old 1981 and i am forever Grateful that i was in the middle of the Metalscene uprising to conquer the World and Riot amogst many others was one of the Bands i frequently was listening to..This setlist are Gold, many memories coming to my head.. My best friend introduced me to Riot and we always was behaving like morons jumping around and Headbanging for our lifes to all of the Metal that was exploding around us and our dear relatives shaking their heads saying that it will go away when we was getting older.. It never did even if i today don´t run around shakin my brain out when people last expect it.. Miss it like Hell, and my best friend that are in Heaven today. R.I.P.🙏❤ From Sweden.🤘☮
FRICKIN AWESOME... I DON'T KNOW WHY WE MISSED THIS INCREDIBLE BAND BACK IN THE DAY. I REMEMBER THEM IN "HIT PARADER" and "CIRCUS" Magazines..... TICKS ME OFF.... The Record Store Never carried them or something. SO MAD....
They suffered from really bad management, bad contracts and frequent line up changes. They got screwed. They deserved better. A real shame because they should have been much, much bigger!
@@zenwarrior3603 l totally agree with you, it's a shame cuz they put out some pretty good music, to me, they were ahead of their time, they were really big in San Antonio
Damn gd band,they were big in San Antonio, the first 4/5 albums are their best, I've saw them 3 times back in the 80's,.. it's a shame that they never made it big,l think bad management
Fiere down under has to be one of the best Rock records ever made. Every song on that album kicks ass.
One of my favorite band sad I never got the chance to watch them live, to late now.

Absolutely the best on the circuit at that time❤

I was 12 years old in 1981 and this band was amazing! That Warrior song is what made me a head banger til this day at 55 now!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
Guy had an amazing voice. Riot was one helluva band🥁💥🎸

Saw them in 1981, opening for Rush along with another band. Good stuff, good times

Why is the algorithm pushing it now all of a sudden?!! Had Fire Down Under on a round black album thingy in the flashing year of 81
🙏☆"Guy"☆🙏
Yea. This is really good.
Just awesome.
These guys are great! Never gave them a quality listen back then. Fast forward to today 🤘🤘
Once Guy left, all the momentum went with him. They were on the verge of making it big. Oh well!
@jurgencuypers8350I liked 'em both but Restless Breed was a phenomenal album....
My all time favorite band met Mark in my home town San Antonio Texas great guy no rock star attitude.
En mi opinion RIOT con Guy Speranza de vocalista fue mejor sus 3 primeros LPS Excelentes.
* ROCK CITY
* NARITA
* FIRE DOWN UNDER
reminds me of The MC5 ... rockin'! 🤘😸💥

New Yersey? Is that a new state?
Is that Epstein from Welcome Back Kotter???
It's OK. He brought a note from his Mother saying that he could sing.
The second guitar's D and G strings are out of tune
😂😂
I see why they never hit it big & failed to ever became relevant.
You do realize that the band in one form or another is still in existance?
@@hts513 yeah and still irrelevant
I guess your band is more relevant
you see why? Then Why?
Gran registro de esta banda una de mis favoritas RIOT
