I think the biggest reason for this is that these were the most technologically advanced cars with 900hp. The cars were shredding the track and pulling crazy speeds

Glad there's this race rewind to fill me in on what I missed this weekend. Would've been nice to see Mark Martin win it though. Mark is such a classy guy, it shows how he pulls down to get out of the way on the final lap. He deserves to win one more before he goes into full retirement.

I don't get it. How do you win this? Is it an endurance race to see which car can maintain top speed till the end? Or good pit stop strategy? Or just clever slipstreaming in the last few laps?
It´s a combination of all three for what I know...like a chess game you have to think through everything and then make your move.

Do the US also have a motorsport which has many curves like the F1 tracks?
IndyCar has a lot of road races as well as some Ovals. Watkins Glen is a good NASCAR race to watch if you aren't a fan of Ovals.

Yeah, we have a great variety of tracks. Monster superspeedways (Daytona and Talladega), Road courses (Watkins Glen and Sonoma), blistering fast Intermediate tracks (Charlotte, Kansas, and Atlanta to name a few), and short tracks (Bristol and Martinsville). All F1 tracks are different but they pretty much all have the same racing. At most of the NASCAR tracks you can see the entire track. F1? Nope
