So madlib than gave freddie gibbs like 8 cds of beats that he thought kanye scrapped and was never going to use. Gibbs than hears no more parties in la and makes a song for every beat madlib gave him so he didn't run into thinking kanye stole one of his beats again. Which is why they have so much material together. Basically he heard the beat before no more parties in la dropped since madlibs played it for him before giving him all of those cds
I love Gibbs and all but I honestly would love Madlib rapping over this. I don’t think he himself and a lot of other people don’t give him enough credit for his MC skills. He is one of my favorites as an MC not just producer. Said he doesn’t rap anymore in interview I watched. Hate to hear it
if they fought over this they really could've settled and made a remix with kendrick freddie and ye so freddie could get his version out and ye could still use the beat
