Karen, I'm sorry I miss seeing you at Quiltcon this year, never ran into you. Sarah, I recognized you by your voice only Saturday night at the show. Lovely to meet you.
I loved this. I am fairly new to quilting, and this really resonates with me. I love designing my own patterns, I am very precise, and I don't love scraps.
What a busy lady. Good for you, know your present limitations. Bravo you found a way to get the bleeding out. I will add that technique to my tool box.
Sarah is interesting how she did this designed and didn’t use curves-listening to design first and then black and white later. Design is more important- more thinking and precise how the fabric works- great interesting how she works- no improv - thank you! Her family had some unconcious effect from Afghanistan- so interesting! Thanks again- Sandi Myer
@@SarahMuslim Sarah, I can't believe how great that worked. I used it on a quilt and no more red bleed. It worked great on 2 sweaters that had bled through even washing in cold water. Thank you so very much for the information. I'm in Minnesota so we wear quite a few sweaters in the winter.

Great interview ! I'm excited to continue to experience Sarah's creative work. Thanks for sharing your experience
Great interview, such a talented lady, thanks for sharing
Great interview. Thank you for having her.😊

I enjoy meeting designers who also use Adobe Illustrator. I'd love to confer with more quilters who do this. Thanks for bringing Sarah to us.

Thank you. I hope that you feel better soon
Sarah's quilt is very modern looking to me. I've never tried any modern quilt patterns. I love her quilting.
They are very clever
What a great interview!
I prewash all of my fabric, with synthropol, but not with hot hot water. I have hand washed some batting...it is a pain to handle wet.
Loved this- so interesting 💕Afghan such more Art for me!

I enjoyed listening to this.
Looking forward to seeing this thank you
Hope you like it!
Interesting interview Karen. 👏🇦🇺
I like how she uses the word precision vs. perfection. It kind of lifts a weight off the shoulders.
Great interview.
If you make a quilt without the Batting do you need a walking foot to sew on the binding?
do a tester. There will be less movement between the layers but only a test will tell you what works
Yes you do. It will prevent the fabric from travelling.
Welcome Sarah👍
Precision isn't a common thing with quilters? I assumed otherwise. Beginner here.
Great interview! You mentioned Audrey, who does micro quilting adjustments. What is her last name? Does she have videos? Thanks!
her instagram handle is Cottonandburbon
@@JustGetitDoneQuilts Thank you!
What does she mean by “blocking” the quilt? She said she is a “quilt blocker”
❤
Newbie here. What is MQG/MGQ?
Modern QuiltGuild
The Modern Quilt guild has a big event once a year called Quiltcon. If you are any where near Raleigh NC, get yourself there. Third week in Feb
What what the product she used for getting the bleeding out of the fabric?
I'd like to know too. It sounded like "interpol"?
Synthrapol ☺
