A superhorn for under $2000? I didn’t think this was possible but this horn is so fantastic and plays incredibly well! Sometimes my job really is awesome. In this case today I get to play for you this incredible trumpet we are selling on consignment.

Here we have a rare, unique, medium bore Bb trumpet handmade by the master techs of the Carol Brass factory located in Chia-Yi, Taiwan. It has a 30% nickel-silver tube from the leadpipe all the way to the valve section with 90% copper outer tubes. The result is a buttery smooth sound and a feel more open than the 0.453" bore may suggest! It is finished in a very nice honey colored copper lacquer and includes the Carol case and accessories. It is a super fluid and flexible horn with a lot of color! This trumpet is in excellent condition with few visible signs of use.
I just love all the accessories this trumpet comes with as well:
Two tuning slides:
Rounded (as used in this video) and semi-square
Saturn waterkeys
Three different top valve buttons
Two different sets of top and bottom caps.
On this demo I used my custom reserve L3+ and 1.5C Austin Custom Brass mouthpieces.
This horn has been cleaned and shows very few signs of use. This is a very, very rare opportunity to get a world-class horn for a great savings! Really fluid feel to the horn and awesome responsive articulations. What do you think of the horn?

I have many brands of trumpets in my stable, but the Carol Brass Andrea Giuffredi Model is my absolute favorite. The intonation is superb, the scale is even, and the sound superb! For the money, the quality of Carol Brass is hard to beat! Thank you for the videos Trent! 🎺👍
I've played my Carolbrass 6280h as my main horn for almost 10 years now. Great horn. I bought it used from ACB. Can't go wrong with Carolbrass in my experience.

Can't praise my CarolBrass 8060 enough for it's gorgeous sound! It would be interesting to compare it to this trumpet, but unfortunately, CarolBrass is hard to get in Europe. However, it is worth mentioning that the valves are totally usable, as long as they are often oiled, but not on par with my old Yamaha horns.
I have found that the valve oil choice is pretty critical for the CarolBrass valves. I really like Hetman #1 and Berp Bio Oil #1 on the CB valve block.
Ultra Pure works great on my Carolbrass horns. I think the Carolbrass valves are outstanding.
@@austincustom Thanks for the tip! Hetman isn't available anymore here in Europe, but if I'm informed correctly, Meinlschmid oil is the very same thing. I'll try that!
