Heart breaking- Terry is a vey sympathetic interviewer- one has to remember so little was known - and poor Lena obviously never recovered really - she has great insight in a way but that dreadful illness just wouldn’t let go
She actually recovered from the anorexic behaviors before death,it was the depression that caused her to not eat,and as a fellow person with mental health struggles I also am severely malnourished and can't eat due to my mental health not anorexia.
Utterly tragic what happened to this lovely talented lass, how many more lessons must be learned before they stop shoving kids out on stage to make stars out of them, look at M Jackson he was made famous and pushed onstage before even starting school and look how he turned out but of course hype and money talks and common sense walks in showbiz.

How could he have kept the interview up knowing as he must have how badly she had been damaged by the very people her parents had entrusted her to ????
He was as subtle as a brick. Anorexia is NOT a slimmer's disease, it's a psychiatric condition, and then saying he liked her better when she was chunky: such ignorance.
R MCK anorexia is such a complex illness- more is known now but still people die from it - sadly if it takes hold it is very difficult to break the cycle

Lena once said that she wished she was more intelligent, but I think she is very bright and alert. This was a vey good interview by Lena.

she died in 1999 and was buried in Cardiff
Just to correct you here, she is buried in Hoddesdon, Herts her final home town.
