Ohh my Dire, this ep was awesome , i was waitin the dire wire clean for days and when you even said "lets play series" my eyes just rised up. Ty dude for your effort , always a pleasure to watch you.
ME Conduits are fantastic in all but one way. They completely eliminate the need for color coded wiring since they can be disconnected at points like any E I/O conduit. Their downside? The DO NOT connect to Applied Energistics partial blocks like import and output buses. So you need to have a single blockspace of regular ME cabling at the very end to connect to any partial blocks or panels.
Now do another episode where you go around with the spawnable space indicators turned on and see how many spot you have in the base and wiring areas that mobs can spawn in. Last I saw there were SEVERAL on the main floor and there is probably some in the basement that is spawning the creepers. They're unlikely to have fallen down a 1x1 hole.
The tier 3 powercell you can empower it, that will make it lossless...bit resource heavy though. Then again not sure if you can do that in AoE but it's part of the mod.
Empower? Do you mean Infuse? If you mean Infuse then that needs shards, which aren't available except from an RF Tools Dimension, and I _think_ RF Tools Dimensions are later in the pack, so not accessible yet (if they are accessible they'd be the obvious shortcut solution to a lot of problems so I'd guess not)
"Only I can clean up DireWire by making worse DireWire!"~ Direwolf20 in AoE. And I thought #diredeath20 was going to be the high point of this episode!
You know I realized that you never do anything even semi-permanently in minecraft. You don't even have a persistent single player world that you've been working on. You blow it all up and start over. You should have a Direworld. A pack that's just for you and based on what you like and not a pack that's built to be a little something for everyone. I'm curious what would happen if you were given the time and space to actually plan something out and not just create something because you need it right now.
The direwolf pack is directed by him. Every mod that exists in it is chosen by him personally, so it's already his pack. No sense to keep a "direworld" since mods update and you can't just stay with a single pack forever
You should make endergenic generators. They are easy to setup and are pretty much passive power gen. Just feed them ender pearls (which you now have a steady source). Each setup can produce up to 12k. I built 4 sets for my world and only actually have to run 1 set. So much easier then having to make fuel and transfer it.
They require lots of tinkering to get the most efficient ender pearl to rf ratio and he has done it before, he has never used Advanced Generators before.
BTW, I tired using the Actually Additions ESD with the carpenter, it seems you need to set it's outbound values to 12 > 13 for the first slot, 13 > 14 for the second slot, etc.
Once you get into Mekanism later on (when exactly does that unlock again?), the Quantum Entagloporter has really high (per the default config: 1.6E7 or 16,000,000) power transfer; though you still have to make two of them. It's still more than the Dimensional Transceiver can do per side. Even converting to RF from Joules that's much higher (6,400,000). In addition, Mekanism power cables transfer rates are additive. Each cable piece added to the same line increases the total transfer rate for the whole length.
Mekanism comes after Space, you need to go to other planets and mine their rare ores to make the Mekanism parts. And we're not talking about Galacticraft here, this is Advanced Rocketry, you need to build a space rocket of your own design, get to the Moon, harvest stuff from there, come back, build a Space Station, launch _that_, take the Moon stuff to the Space Station, build a Warp Drive (like Star Trek) and take your rocket to another planet, land it, mine the planet, take everything back. Fortunately Dire has built a Void Ore Miner at a decent tier, so this won't be crippling for him as it would have been before he was auto-mining. The tremendous quantities of rubies, bauxite, and other rare materials will be fetched by the Void Ore Miner.
Because those P2P tunnels were running on separate ME networks. One's from your liquid generator is on autocrafting, and the other one is on physical network.
There are upsides and downsides to the Aurora mining world. It is always day there (but it gets overcast when the Overworld is both raining AND night at the same time, TIP: leave a bed in the Overworld by the portal and go there to sleep whenever the Mining World gets overcast) however some things don't work, especially portals are fussy and mostly require building in the Overworld, so you need another base there for them. I think you can't launch Space rockets from the Mining world, and you can't get to the End from there either. It is very boring resource wise - no villages, no deserts, no ocean temples, nothing like that, this is important early game (where to get first Emeralds from before Void Miners?) and late game (you need to find and take blood from a bunch of the world generated mobs, wolves are easy but good luck finding e.g. a Mooshrooom) so you will spend time in the Overworld anyway in those phases. Personally I do put a base in Aurora mining world and just have a small hut in the Overworld until the Space Age, but it's a personal taste thing. Due to it going overcast you still need to light the base anyway, as otherwise Creepers will spawn when you don't pay attention.
Nick Lamb you can Galacticraft Launch from the mining world as that is how I am doing it in PO2 but I can't speak to AoE. All around solid post though with good points.
With the empowered oil... Why not make fluid storage cubes in the AE system. That stores the oil... That way you can have a full storage cubes if needed. You could do the same for any of the other liquids like bio fuel, water, lava, pahimar lava ( spelt on purpose ). Always good to be able to use those liquids through the system as needed, as well as make a lot of use of the liquid side of AE. Also on a side note. Did pahimar mention when you would be able to start recording crash landing again?
Regarding the AE2 p2p tunnels: Were they just trying to respect EnderIO's fluid pipe behavior and not push fluids into a pipe without knowing what fluid is already in the pipes? That could easily be tested by setting up a tank with an EnderIO fluid pipe connected to a p2p tunnel and outputting the proper fluid into the pipe connected to the tunnel's output, then reversing the flow direction, and see if the p2p tunnel tries to match the fluid that already exists in the pipe.
You'd first have to fill the pipe up with the proper fluid in it, then take the tank out, and connect it to where it has to go, and see if AE2 likes piping into pipes with known fluids in it. It sounds as if it doesn't put a fluid into a pipe until it knows what can go in it.
Didn't also Ender IO used to have ME-Cables for AE-Systems? That would make transporting energy, fluids, items and having the system a lot easier tbh. I'm not sure if they were removed from Ender IO, though
Honestly I'm very sure that I can make much worse Direwire than Dire does. In fact I have proof with the base I've built in my run of this pack. The only excuse I have is that I was going to relocate once I had a good way to move items. But to be 100 % honest that will never be happening because I definitly won't clean up the mess I've built as a base.
Wait, shouldn't you be able to right click a p2p tunnel with a RF conduit to change it to RF p2p tunnel? Did it change? You can for sure in Project Ozone 2.
He checked with the AE2 mod dev and no it won't transfer RF in this version of modded Minecraft. See yesterday's episode where he actually explains this on-camera.
drives can hold a massive amount of items, but only a few (63) different types. Good for bulk storage, but when different NBT means an item is a different type, not so good :)
TheBodyOnPC simple it is a tier thing, he needs stuff to get better power gen, then for a while he is ok on power, he advances needs more power and so on
It's also more expensive in this pack. Not to mention that it also needs periodic maintenance to remove unwanted excess junk it mines up out of it's dimension. For instance, if it happens to mine through a mineshaft, it will bring up items from that. I believe it also mines up loot from world generation, so if a dungeon spawns somewhere in it's dimension with loot, and it mines there, it'll mine that up as well.
Except the drawers have advantages. For one, he doesn't need to have a drive to store them. He can store the same number of a particular item in a 4k drive as in a single upgraded drawer if I remember right. So not that much more storage. And finally, if something happened, (this is dire, DireDerps are legendary,) and his power system failed, he could still access the more basic items without needing power. It would be slow and clunky but he could access the resources to fix the problem without having to work his way through three tiers of gameplay to come up with some form of generator
Why, oh WHY would you POSSIBLY THINK YOU COULD HOLD PLUTONIUM!? It's LITERALLY produced by irradiating already radioactive material! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING MAN!? This is why I have a love/hate relationship with your videos - you come up with awesome ideas for automation, but you do SUCH DUMB THINGS SO OFTEN
Dire "Don't forget there are ME cables for Ender IO that I just haven't found use for"
*cleans up wiring and immediately has use for it*
Ohh my Dire, this ep was awesome , i was waitin the dire wire clean for days and when you even said "lets play series" my eyes just rised up. Ty dude for your effort , always a pleasure to watch you.
Every time Dire messes with Plutonium.
"I don't know if I can hold this or not"
*gets radiation poisoning

this video could be a satisfying video in terms of direwire
"lets play series"
I didn't even catch that. Where's my Age of Empires?!
I've been waiting for a long time for Dire to miss being a bat in minecraft xD
He really needs to add Metamorph.
It's really cute how Dire thinks the things he makes look good. Like when he asked what we thing about the floor.

Dimensional builder is very late-game, unfortunately.
Tell me I am not the only one catching the "mischief managed" reference. ❤️❤️
"Only I can clean up DireWire by making worse DireWire!"~ Direwolf20 in AoE. And I thought #diredeath20 was going to be the high point of this episode!
#dire Smart Moving mod allows players to crawl into tight spaces and even grab/climb stuff.
The next series you do. Don't fix the wiring to see how bad it gets 😂
He wouldn't be able to move because the wiring would be EVERYWHERE.

He can't, since mods keep updating and he has to keep up

Totally Not A Banana
No tinkering required. You Just set it and forget it.
watch the video
No you have to tweak the timing on the ender pearl launches and catches and all that in ticks. It can get quite annoying and complex.
Totally Not A Banana
lol you tweek it once during setup
BTW, I tired using the Actually Additions ESD with the carpenter, it seems you need to set it's outbound values to 12 > 13 for the first slot, 13 > 14 for the second slot, etc.
Dire:beautiful ! and here comes the thunder XD
Dire you can use the Phantomphases form AA to clean up some wire
expensive AF
rather use facades and ME conduits
Dire u do know u can use ME conduits from Ender IO to route your AE system better don't you?
Thanks for sharing I hope Direwolf20 see this!
I'm pretty sure he mentioned this in the video, and then just didn't use them

thannonkai is Flux Networks in the pack? If so, he could use those, they can transfer a couple brf/t iirc from FTB Beyond

Why didn't Dire just build his base in the eternal day dimension? lol

i guess you mean Aroma Mining World
For one, the surroundings are boring.
Nick Lamb you can Galacticraft Launch from the mining world as that is how I am doing it in PO2 but I can't speak to AoE. All around solid post though with good points.
29:38 mini endermen while a pain where great for running cables.
Isnt a power plug or something also a way to transfer rf through dimensions?
Big fan btw

sajian starslicer AE doesn't have fluid storage. You're probably thinking of refined storage.
thegroundbelowme yeah... i got them mixed up, but i thought ae did liquid too

Jan-VGH not only do they still exist, dire actually pointed them out in JEI in this episode
Do you really need empowered oil? the multiblock generator should work with normal canola oil as well, right?
that creeper at the end dire foundin the pahimar pava station was there for 3 minutes by looking at the minimap top right
Diretime!!

"I don't know how much RF/T [the powercell] transfers," waila behind literally said 5000 RF/T lmao
#diretime on time
i wish i could join dire in his world just to clean up his messy ass base
at around 24:50 the icon glitched and you placed stone brick with a wireless controller.
Do you have to use the empowered oil? Doesn't the regular oil work too? And it's much cheaper
It is cheaper, yes. But it burns up much faster. So the 2.4mb/t of burn rate for empowered becomes ~10mb/t burn rate for regular oil.
Is your room also like your base, druty
26:10 wow I was certain it was ender fluid and Dire just hopped into it.
Is it coolant?
Yea, that's IC2 coolant fluid
It's IC2 coolant for making pahoehoe lava into basalt

Yep missed that episode, that's realy strange thoe. I mean RF p2p was an awesome feature

DireTime
Hey dire with there be a download for this world?
Stop! another diretime.
Actually the power loss from the powercells is kinda negligible.
Dire, why can't you make your videos in 1080p?
It's Minecraft. The extra pixels ain't gonna do much for you.
It didn't matter if it's junk just get huge drives but dire dosnt
drives can hold a massive amount of items, but only a few (63) different types. Good for bulk storage, but when different NBT means an item is a different type, not so good :)
Why are there so many episodes about power? Like 15 of them are connected to power generation.
TheBodyOnPC simple it is a tier thing, he needs stuff to get better power gen, then for a while he is ok on power, he advances needs more power and so on
*Connected* to power generation. I see what you did there.
'cause it's a tech pack, and everything interesting in a tech pack needs power to work?
Wait why is it lets play now and not AoE EP:40
I don't understand how his wiring looks bad.
4th direvid
0:41 Do you even know what a tooltip is.
Dire u should really get quantom quarry it's faster

please build the Syngas ( hope thats right written ) mashien :)
If he using import bus use ender chest dire dosnt know how make stuff some what decent
4th
Wye not RF to EU to P2P to EU to RF
No RF/EU conversion in this pack as far as I know.
Im pretty sure Mekanism cables can auto-convert power
In this pack Mekanism has no EU support.
In fact, I think Mekanism has no RF support in this pack. Mekanism only works for Mekanism, AFAIK.
Why, oh WHY would you POSSIBLY THINK YOU COULD HOLD PLUTONIUM!? It's LITERALLY produced by irradiating already radioactive material! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING MAN!?
