What is nowaday called he Republic of Moldova was only a small part of the principality of Moldova - namely the eastern part - east of the river Pruth which was & is traditionally known as Bessarabia. Bessarabia was occupied & annexed from its moldovan( later romanian) Motherland by the Russian Tsarist Empire In 1812 and had been colonized by slavic ( russian/ukrainian speaking population) since then. After WW1 and untill WW2 Bessarabia returned to the motherland as it was was part of the Kingdom of Romania. Even though most Inhabitants of the Republic of Moldova speak Romanian the Russian language & political influence still persists today.
Basically Moldovans are ethnically Romanians! I visited once Republic of Moldova and tried to speak with people in Romanian, a lot of them where like "We speak Moldovan" "We speak only Russian" "We don't understand Romanian", Russians have no respect for your country! They should speak the official language! If a foreigner will come and live in France and will not speak my native language, I'll be really sad, it proves its lack of education and tolerance .Just my opinion, don't take it serious!

You should definitely visit Moldova region in Romania
I feel like someone is saying good things about my country to convince me it's not as bad as I thought. Actually it's pretty nice and I think less poluted and greener, but we continue believing there is no place to see here
It’s always interesting to see someone else’s perspective 😊
Well done, great video&impresions. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and images about my capital city ! Cheers !
Thank you so much!
Recently found out that I am of Moldovan descent. My great grandfather grew up in Chisinau. But back then Moldova was Bessarabia
Really? You know you can get Romanian or Moldovan citizenship, probably. 😋 Might come in handy 🤷♀️

Hallo - I'm still watching You 😊😊😊
What is nowaday called he Republic of Moldova was only a small part of the principality of Moldova - namely the eastern part - east of the river Pruth which was & is traditionally known as Bessarabia.
Thank you for the facts!
It's half of it, maybe 40% of it, by no means is it a "small part".
@@JohnK004 Yes.A smaller part .

Moldavians are NOT romanians. Moldova is 550 years older than Romania. I have read the history of Moldova, with simple research anyone with a brain, will notice that Romania was first a province in north turkey before 1800, as you can see here official map made by historian Mathew Carey. There was no Romania in Wallachia, Moldova, or Transylvania. Ottomans have invaded Wallachia and occupied it for more than 400 years, changing its name to "Tara Romaneasca". Romanians immigrated, stole the part of Moldavian Land and the Moldavian language, and called it "Romanian" language and rominian state only after 1881 It is MOLDAVIAN language, It is called MOLDOVIAN since 14 century for your knowledge. Rominians share the MOLDAVIAN language since 1881 because Rominia annexed only part of a Moldovan territory with Moldavian language, and Valahia with valahian language, where Rominia and rominian language were born by Rusia at 1873 -1881. Actually, the Republic of Moldova is another part of MOLDAVIA, is an independent country with MOLDAVIAN language. Go to school and study more MOLDAVIAN Constitution, art.13, and legislation, my dear mate...
I will come here for my honeymoon!
I really appreciate your perspective on what has become my second home now almost eight years. If I might add, you haven't reeeeealllly experienced Moldova until you hit the village. That, my travelling friends, will change ya life. Thanks again; we appreciate you. Drum bun și reveniți la noi pe curând!
P.S. How do we access the coupon you've posted above? It merely goes to the main AirBnB page?
Facem cunostinta ??

Thank you!
Go to Asconi for a night

I actually like Chisinau. Because it's so compact and the public transportation is great. Maybe in the future with a better mayor the city will bloom.
Thanks for your comment!
