One Tips for Layla:
She deals less damage to turrets when outside of its range (about 50% less). If you know that you are safe from ganks, it's better to attack from within its range to destroy the turret much faster.

As long as there are allied minions inside the tower's range, 100% of your damage will be dealt to the tower regardless of where your hero is standing

Layla has weak defense but her high damage output and passive ability reward skilled positioning, making her a powerful late game hero
Try build her def, and 2 or 3 atk item's you'll see how tanky she'll be for an mm.
honestly even before, i’ve always thought of her as a POTENTIALLY good marksman. She has the largest range among all marksman which makes her so good at kiting and she actually has decent AoE damage from her skills alone. Her first skill helps so much in kiting and in the late game, she’s always been a monster. The thing is tho, her weaknesses outweighs all the strengths she has. I mean yes she has decent damage but if she cant protect herself at all, then that damage is useless. The stun definitely helps her out so much as a defense and offense tool.
S++ in late game offense but E class in survivability.
Her damage is no joke, but she's really the amalgamation of a glass cannon.

Was hoping they play more with her passive. Maybe like if the enemy is nearer to her then the enemies damage get reduced or probably layla itself become tankier. We will have literally another tank/marksman role XD

I remember the last seasons when Layla doesn't have much of a self-utility and just pure damage during the time I used her for around 2018 before her first ever revamp. It was too hard to chase down an enemy and even escape from the agile enemies knowing back then that she doesn't have a movement speed bonus from her skills, her 1st. skill back then was just pure damage that can crit. Now she can even use the battle spells Inspire or Aegis without any problem (if you know how to keep the position well).
With these buffs Layla isn't an *emergency food* anymore, moreso depending on the user.
Also, for some reason nowadays, I somewhat mistaken Layla from ML as Lumine from Genshin Impact just basically because of her voice and a bit from having both blonde hair (I'm aware both characters having the same EN VA).
Finally, she can be the Tank she always dreamed to be now that she finally has cc!
Jokes aside, this helps make her gameplay a lot smoother and less stressful when against high mobility heroes, she may still be weak early game, but she’ll be a lot scarier in mid-late game

Honestly, I think Layla is definitely better now, the only reason I can think of that Layla being a low winrate hero is that certain amount of player intentionally picked Layla to troll or her team thought picking Layla=troll and started to play so bad when the Layla player is not even doing anything weird like feeding in Laning phase, because you know, some players are being too metaslave.
Layla is viable now, but you need a tank that'll cover you for half the game, until you can at least defend yourself. And you have to make sure you don't fall behind in gold.

Franco is the best mm's support, especially for Leyla. Anyone come close and he can suppress them.

Needing to have a tank babysit you is a big flaw as that means that the jungler will be more exposed and easy to pick off vs ganks and it also means that your mage will have a much harder time trying to rotate and help the sidelanes as they have no tank to help them.
For the most part layla can play ok vs every other marksman that isn't melissa or clint. Melissa and clint are also not that difficult to abuse as clint with his 1st skill on cooldown loses most of his damage while melissa missing her puppet gives layla an opportunity to harrass her.
Her main issue however is ganking. If the enemy is baiting layla out via freezing the lane or is tower diving her she has little chance of escape but a smart user can definitely play around it.
Those changes is definitely a buff for Layla but it's also not enough to make her a top tier meta marksman. If your 1st skill didn't hit any target, you're basically a walking food for assassins.

the fact that you need to adjust your line up when there's an enemy layla... Pretty much tells me that she's recognized as a threat that should not be ignored. I'm now always on guard the moment the enemy picks layla, especially a good layla it's so hard to reach her. having to fight a pro layla would be devastating O-O...
Yes i am seeing a lot of layla picks in high rank atm. But its mainly because ppl are abusing tanky characters for the exp and jg. for example, esme got a buff and is pretty well used rn. Lance tank jg is also popular rn, and other tank hypers.
Because of this, they need smthng to help with the late game, and layla fits perfectly since she can continuously poke the enemy from a range whilst the tanks support her heavily.
And in early game, her skill1 helps with wave clear + skill 2 is great for using in ganks to stop the enemy.
Simplified, yes she is good but her potential shines even more when there are multiple tanks to cover her + provide initiation for her
She's harder to reach now even when I'm using Kagura. She's so scary with a tank or support guarding her.

The only problem with Layla last time is that she has no defense skill.
This changes it tho, so if you meet one with godly positioning, you are likely losing the match. She has always had insane dmg at late game, and her passive compliments those who can truly position well with her
mhm i’ve always deemed her as a potentially good marksman it’s just that her weaknesses far outweigh her strengths to actually make her viable.
Layla is one of those high risk, high reward marksman indeed.

Opponent Layla players on my Recent Mythic Ranked matches were just Better than our Random Hanabi Gold laner.
That's all What I've got to say.
Her autoattack animation are more fluid now, and it kinda makes her even easier to play. Plus that stun is surprisingly useful even though it is a just a fraction of a second. I think with the right team mates that can defend her, plus the right heroes to ban at rank, she's definitely a threat to consider when faced against.

A tip I'd recommend, although this is a personal preference, try focusing on getting items that increase your movement speed first (boots, windtalker, maybe even endless battle), helps you dodge skillshots from selena and whatnot

Elgin really loved that Chou ally lol, and i felt hes pain when lapu killed him, i remembered always getting targeted by lapu when i was using layla before
The buff she got made her powerful against 1v1
As a Harley main I barely notice a direct difference besides her being able to melt things a bit quicker. She's still food tho
they need to increase the duration of her 1st skill's movement speed, then she's good to go...
She's not great at the start of the match but with the tight equipment and right playstyle she can become a damage machine in the late game, farm gold in the early game then in the later game push mid with you're team and attack from behind melee units, once you've built up a high fire rate, crit chance and physical damage you're almost unkillable and i use inspire to absolute annihilate enemy squads as they try to push, so all in all she has terrible durability but in the late game she's actually insane op

There is a term in moba to substitute 'seen as food'
It is called 'an ATM'
Because usually when the enemy needs money, they just withdraw it from the ATM
It's been 10+ years and i think the new mobas haven't jumped into most of the common terminology
Layla has long been a viable pick, it's just a lot of players can't use her properly. I always struggled when facing a Layla player who knows how to position properly especially with her extremely long range. Our mage and assassin dies before even reaching her
her two core strengths are aiming (to poke) and positioning which most players suck tbh
This buff help her a little but not that big that 0.25 sec stun will disrupt "fast-hand" players combo but not a real pro.
P/S: imo, using Layla is the best way to learn positioning as mm especially as a solo player which your teammates aren't dependable to protect you.

I've been ranking up with her this season. Just be safe in the early game, farm well & keep an eye on the map while positioning properly in team fights.
Her damage and range is second to none!

As a Tank main user, I have a habit to trow my self on the conflict so I priorities her mobility so that I can escape.

I am a layla main and really appreciated this buff. Now the roamer dont need to babysit me or continously visit my lane because i can easily compete with other mms.
Since S1 i always thought of layla as one of the strong ones. It is just that most beginner have her so its either a newbie or a godlike layla in rank.

It always depends on the user I had like one layla before that was not buff and she dominated every single enemy at bot
Layla easily gets countered by burst heroes that can dive, but if you know how to check bushes and keep a distance you're just a free hitting god
Ok why would you check bushes to begin with? That's the Roamer's job.
Layla is so underestimated, she's really good even in early game right now
I always believe that she was always useful she was just like miya but trickier once she reach late game it will be hard for enemy to win as long as you know how to position her because always all enemies will be focusing on layla
While playing miya all you have to do is back door enemies back liner, let them use stun before entering though.
Then inspire = triple kills any most cases🗿.

@@starkworks6620 most tank focuses on getting a good aoe combo stun if they are like atlas, except for Franco most expect tanks to go front but with miya you can just back door in the middle of the fyt.

It is more difficult if play her in the Solo Rank but if you have a good teammate and a good position she can be the most annoying Maskman because of her range, she has the longest range of basic attacks and she has the longest range of the Logging Stun too.
I hate it when teammates pick her even if have forgotten how to play her.
Layla has probably the scariest auto attacks in the game, but the lack of a dash or a true cc skill is still her downfall.
She's more viable, but nowhere near S, A or B class.
A niche pick that would depend on the enemy team's mobility and your teams ability to keep the enemies away from you.

Been spamming Layla with my two types of build and can say she is a lot of fun now with the faster animation and 2nd skill buff
I reach legend rank with her and MVP most of my matches when I use her so now just gonna reach mythic glory and try to get global title while she is still strong at the moment
If enemy got too much CC layla will be a free food for them

At least she is now better than Hanabot. But lacking a dash skill will still be a disadvantage at higher ranks. A sandwich gank and she is free food. She needs at least 3 core items before she can deal insane damage with her extra long range.
For me, this layla buffs is pretty good. And maybe she is 'worthy' to the ban section

She is good as a spell blade item user I tried endless battle, thunder belt, BOD, Hunter strike, Wind of nature or Immortality for last item.
