Hello Jonny! I'm pleased to report having a second custom stock fitted to my needs and my F3 Supersport with Manuel Ricardo. The whole experience is splendid and offered a few exchanges on some modifications to my first stock built with them last year. I am absolutely breath taken by their ability to focus on minute details; Really, I wanted the palm swell 12mm longer, the cast at the toe changed 3 mm, the pistol grip more closed, and a slimmer forend. Heavenly results. I feel as if the stock-making team was in my yard. We are 8000km apart. This team is fantastic!

New age of gun fit, i like it, very impressive they got the inner headwork tight without actually having the reciever, gun fit is perceptive person to person- as gun feel is so diferent between people.

That was one of the best videos on custom gunstocks and the fitting process I have ever seen ....well done. I was aware Manuel Ricardo and his reputation but did not realise he offer this service and on the face of it would appear 90% /95% perfect. Would definitely go for this next time.

been waiting for this one..... You confirmed my new project, Also the wood spacer is a piece of class really elevates the whole stock..... (as a left hander this option also means the amount of guns available to buy goes up massively, and the price comes down dramatically)

Hi Jonny - I feel so pleased for you - when you said you were getting the one click, I had no hesitation about the quality of the workmanship and the artisanal skill, knowledge and experience of Manuel and his team having been over there twice and of course, you have reviewed both of my stocks. I felt a little responsible for encouraging you to try the one click and I am so pleased that you are pleased with the results. Congratulations on the latest addition to the family - love your stock by the way - beautiful wood and the initials are a lovely touch...must catch up over a brew soon and you can tell me all about the experience...take care and stay safe...Gordon...👍👍👍

@@tgsoutdoors have you tired pushing your content through Reddit? There are multiple shooting pages on there which I’m sure would benefit from seeing these videos.
I’d also definitely keep going down the route of mini series like you’re doing at the moment, going to different shooting grounds. I enjoying watching them.
Maybe take a look at what kinds of shorting videos trend/get the most views on UA-cam, and give it your own twist.
I can’t remember the UA-cam channel name, but there is an older guy who tests out all sorts of different guns on a little range he has set up with bottles of water, bins etc. For some reason it’s entertaining watching him blow things to bits with a shotgun while still going through the specs.
They are just a few ideas off the top of my head, but I’ll throw some more at you when they come to me, or when I see something I think you guys could do.

Very interesting to hear you say how the gun felt with the new stock. I went out there five years ago to have a stock made for my MK 70. He got the new stock nearly finished but commented about my gun mount not being consistent , but as you said it is like a new gun, the new stock shape changes the handling so much and it took a lot of cartridges to get used to, even though the gun fitted me perfectly.
Manuel Ricardo is a master at what he does. No question .

That is an interesting notion for a newbie to the sport. Buy say an SP1 as a first gun. Well made mechanically, reliable and robust. When you are consistent in gun mount replace the plain wood with a better grade custom made MR stock and fore end. Certainly an interesting alternative to "upgrading" to a better gun. Which, while it looks better will still not be fitted to you and will likely not perform any better. You are definitely on to something here JC.

Since you didn't buy the forend with your stock, do you think that it could possibly have helped with the balance for the gun? Where in your case it would have been difficult for them to "match" the balance of your original gun.
As you know adjustable comb and all that hardware, adds weight to the back making your gun more lively.
Really enjoyed the video and thank you for taking a punt getting it done.👍

I saw this and thought go for it! I have to say the process is relatively pain free but communications with Manuel R can be a bit frustrating as they use a combination of email & whats app and I'm not sure if its the same person responding to each! Having said that all the dimensions, photos and videos are now done and I'm waiting my manufacturing slot and that's when I got a surprise, I can't expect my stock before April 2022, so clearly they are busier than when this video was made. Also its worth noting that the cost is significantly more than suggested in the video, as the grade of wood, adjustable comb and pistol (glove) grip all add to the base price. If this works and I hope it does I will have an TSK adjustable stock for sale.

Johnny, remove the butt pad from a Beretta 686 Field. Look at the cavity in the stock. Then remove the butt pad from a 686 Sporting and look at the single hole for the stock bolt. Does that give you any ideas? Fact is that if you do some conservative wood removal from the center of that Ricardo stock you can probably achieve a balance that matches the balance of the stock you made for the Moruku all those years ago. Actually you could probably send both stocks to Recardo and he could re-balance that new stock to achieve an identical balance to your old stock. Yeah, it will cost a bit to do this additional work but I'll bet you a US Nickle that it will cost less than a new shotgun for that stock and you'll have your beloved Moruku fitted with a stock that will work for many years to come and is adjustable to adapt changes that happen as you age. Hot tip on that note, start doing Yoga and those changes will be greatly reduced.

    • @tgsoutdoors

I had contemplated doing just that but two things sprung to mind:
Just because it handles differently doesn’t mean it’s bad and as ES says, ‘accept that there will be a bit of a transition period’
I could do with a steel proofed, multi-Choke gun ongoing anyway. Seemed like a good enough reason to build a new gun

Already have tubes for my 12 gage 686 but shoot the 410 terribly and if feels like I'm swinging a telephone pole. The 28 gage isn't too bad because those tubes do have a much larger hole in them but I figure why not a combo. It's too bad that Skeet isn't as popular as it once was. @@tgsoutdoors There are several types and processes. Fascinating and unique and defining of many different makers. And YOU'RE just the man to do it!! If you don't, no one will! And wood finishes! Go, TGS Outdoors!!

An interesting video but the process has no appeal for me. There’s a lot that can be done on the internet but for me - for gun fit - it is not the preferred option. I may be out of step and it is just my opinion.

I think MR stocks are not very popular with sporting shooters, but nearly everyone in the trap ( especially OT) world shoots a MR stock, they ARE simply amazing

Most sporting shooters don’t really care about getting better like trap discipline shooters do, it is a discipline mostly shot for pleasure

Extremely saddened by this news Nigel. Roy was a great man, who knew how to have fun and always had time for a chat and a laugh.

No offence meant, but it's almost like you are now actually focusing on learning to clay shoot with consistency as an actual sport and skill...wish you well and I have no doubt working with Ed will help you down that road. No more game shooting with a rolling shoulder movement! 😁

I know it Sounds mad but I fancy one for my wingmaster there’s no real way of casting the stock as they are all straight and bolted. It smashed my face to bits last time out, wife thort I’d been punched 😂
