Thank you, Anita, for clearing up this protein question! Of the hundreds of carnivore related videos Ive watched, hardly anyone ever mentions or clarifies this!! It confused me for the longest time and I couldn't figure out how much I should be getting, but your explanation was like a light going on for me! Regarding anchovies, my grandma used to put two little strips of anchovies crossed over the top of each half of deviled egg. The egg is bland so the salty fish is just perfect.

For the person talking about shards of glass, all Redmond's salts have other minerals that haven't been filtered out. That's what you're crunching on.
Agreed, I actually contacted them a couple years ago because I saw all this "stuff" in the bottom of my kettle and thought it was dirt. Something different when using the real deal! I felt silly after but didn't know all the minerals wouldn't dissolve😂

I finally got to watch this very informative video. I missed it Sunday then had a major dental procedure Monday. This has absolutely helped to get my protein in the right place. Of course I can’t eat beef right now but I can eat salmon and scrambled eggs, sardines, chicken noodle soup & such. I’m not a cottage cheese person but I am trying to figure out something I can mix together that will make the cottage cheese taste DISAPPEAR! 😂🤣😂. I did see someone add buffalo sauce to it with other seasonings. That would definitely change it. 🤣😂🤣 My daughter bought me some pork country ribs. (Each one weighed over a pound) If I slow cook and make pulled pork, I can eat that. Anyway THANK YOU so much for this video. It has made all the difference. Now we shall see if I start losing again. A pound of cooked chicken breast is 140 grams of protein
You have to use raw not cooked for that rule of thumb to work. And of course nothing is as accurate as tracking in something like carb manager!

How anybody gets that much protein in is amazing to me I just had three eggs and then an hour and a half later 11 oz of beef with probably five tablespoons of butter so far today which I need too and I'm not even 100 yet and I don't think I can eat the rest of the night I'm stuffed.
It was hard the first week, but each week it has gotten easier! This morning my first meal was 81 grams and it was 7.5 oz steak (raw weight), 4 slices bacon, 2 eggs all fried together. Definitely getting easier!

If you are talking about the weight of an item then 150 grams is 5.3 ounces BY WEIGHT. If you are asking about how much 150g of protein weighs for macros, the it is about 1 1/2 pounds of meat. So if you want to eat 150g protein in a day, look to eat approx 1/5 lbs of meat in the day. Watch my 5 days of carnivore to see examples.

Referring to meat/salmon etc as 'protein' is whats causing a lot of confusion. It means you can (inadvertently) say '"a pound of protein contains 100g of protein". Very confusing.

I put in 1 tbsp ACV to a large glass of water. In the summer I like it over ice and I add a squeeze of lemon or an LMNT. It is a refreshing summer drink to me!

No, that was an experiment that I did for 90 days. Right now I am aiming for 150 grams protein per day and not adding much in the way of extra fat, just eating fatty meat.
