I saw her in the Ballerina documentary and was impressed, but she was definitely still young and a bit uncontrolled(Although, I can't even imagine dancing Swan Lake at the Marinsky at 18!!!!). This video shows a completely different young women, more controlled and mature in her dancing. It will be a pleasure to watch her grow and evolve in the years to come. She and all the other principle dancers with the company are just plain BEAUTIFUL!

She has two daughters according to her own words when she talked about what is in her purse. She showed some small cute toys and related them to her daughters.
WOW....this is the only time that I've seen Alina perform and haven't felt scared to death that she will fall and hurt herself. She was excellent technically, and now she doesn't let her extensions ruin the musicality as much. Though I think she could certainly use some more improvement in her acting, she has improved tremedously.

I find it difficult to choose between her paquita and lopatkina's but in the end, after I twist my arm a couple of times, I have to come down for alina. she uses her head more creatively - the wiggles are original as well as cute and, I believe, unique to alina.
Jessica He And Alina IS graceful and I must say much more delicate than any other ballerina from recent times. Even the top of her fingers is delicate!
I like in this, compared to when she was fresh out of school, is entirely devoid of those gratuitous hand gestures and uncontrolled everything. She's much cleaner and obviously has put more care into the performance aspect, and the detail. Good to see!
When you watch the newly trained ballerinas although they are so beautiful and amazing one can see how much higher is the level of precision and difficulty by trained principal ballerina versus newly trained ballerina. After couple of years any of the new ones with the proper training, level of intensity and hours of sweating 6 days / week, 6-7 hours per day that can too achieve such high level of performance. I don't think this variation is supposed to be "cute" or "wiggly". It's supposed to be graceful and delicate
