I met him last year at my dealership . He's truly a genuine person . I think people don't respect him since he looks like an ordinary guy. He doesn't have a huge arm, but he has really high IQ with drive, which is why I think he will be top 5 QB this year . Also, 3rd year starting in Kyle's offensive. He's gonna explode this year. Dude put up all those stats while still rehabbing his arm and making it stronger, straight up baller.
I think Purdy's success reveals what no one in the NFL wants to admit, namely, that they don't know what they're doing. If the draft system truly found and elevated the best of the best, how is it that Purdy, who is clearly one of the most talented QBs in the business, was relegated to last? If broadcasters, coaches, scouts and others admit that he's good at his job, it necessarily implies that the broadcasters, coaches and scouts are bad at theirs.
They (the scouts) have a "perfect" body type for a QB either a running qb or a pocket passer that scrambles, 6 foot 4 right handed and the brightest of the bunch. A lot of those help but you can't measure heart and skill when the game is pressure packed. Who is a team player and not focused on their stats. He's a great kid and so happy shanahan and GM took the chance on him
I take it back to that one game where he pounded on his chest like King Kong after a touchdown. What the numbers and everything means is that this man is out there enjoying the game and giving everyone something to watch 🙂
It goes against the old school mentality that all scouts know what someone will become. Add last pick to it. They will never accept they are wrong. Will always be an excuse.
Been a 49er fan since Montana was a new guy with the team. I recall when Steve Young became the starter, it was after Montana was traded to the Chiefs. This was an unpopular thing with the fans. Young played well as starter but whenever things went wrong, he got the full blame: "Montana wouldn't have done that." Young got so much flak from the 49er fans that the only way he changed the narrative was literally winning a Super Bowl. When the 49ers were about to finish their '94 Super Bowl win, there was a part where he asked another player to "Get the monkey off my back!" Purdy succeeding as a "System QB" is silly. We had Jimmy G as our QB in that system. You can clearly see how limiting things were despite having the same star players Purdy has now on the team. I can still remember years ago where the 49ers ran so much to hide the fact our QB, Jimmy G wasn't good. He's living the QB dream right now. Drafted as a nobody. There were no expectations out of him. But Trey Lance got hurt, Jimmy G took over. Then he got hurt. Next thing you know Purdy's number gets called. The third string QB comes in and plays well. And it wasn't just for a few games. This past season was a big test in my eyes because it would be his first full season as starter. Teams had tape of him from his prior season's games. Purdy's also saved GM Lynch and HC Shannahan's butts from the Trey Lance deal from years ago. The 49ers sold the farm for Lance and was one of the worst NFL moves in years. The fact that Purdy came out of nowhere and is playing at a star level despite everyone thinking it was "Game Over" makes it even funnier. It also shows that sometimes these lower draft picks have potential to be something. They're all looking for that chance to show it.
Limiting jimmy got hurt multiple times and still was able to make it to the Superbowl and the NFC championship is he didn't miss that throw to Emmanuel Sanders there would be no purdy, that team is elite around the QB
@@FootballDaddyYT People, even 49er Faithful, don't really give JimmyG enough credit. The last 3 seasons Jimmy got better and better, addressing all his bad points. His footing got better and his accuracy and consistency got improved a lot. He started throwing the ball away more instead of getting sacked. He even started scrambling again and started making big off-schedule plays. Anyone doubting this - just look at his 2022 stats before he got injured and Purdy took over. Purdy was spectacular, but look closely at the stats. Jimmy led Brock in EPA/P (led the league), led in Passer Rating, led in TD:INT. Also consider that Jimmy came off the bench to take over from the injured Trey Lance after Wk1 - after not practicing with the team all summer, since they expected to trade him - they didn't even give him the playbook. He came off the bench cold and led the team through the rough early games, when the undisciplined team was getting lots of penalties and dropping lots of balls and for a couple weeks was the most injured team in the league. It was before the defense was #1 and before CMC joined. Yet he helped carry the team through those rough early games and by the time he left, he handed the team off with a 7-3 playoff bound record. Six of the 7 wins were blowouts. Jimmy led the development and blending in of CMC. By the time Brock came on the field the D was #1 and he was essentially handed an already finely-tuned offense - a playoff team on a silver platter, that needed no further development. Jimmy started the first 4 of the 10 game winning streak, getting injured in the 5th game of the streak. Take away the 5th game of the streak, when both Jimmy and Brock played, and if you compare Jimmy's games to Brock's games they both had essentially the same performance, with essentially the same PPG. But could Brock have carried the team through those early, rough games? Not the Brock Purdy of today, but the off the bench rookie back then? They needed Jimmy's veteran experience during those early games. Jimmy was outstanding in 2022. He led the QB's in the league with a number of Top 5 stats, some Top 3's and even a few #1 stats for the 10 games he played, including #1 in Passing DVOA and #3 in the other 2 efficiency stats (EPA/P, ANY/A), #2 or 3 in 3rd down conversions, #4 or 5 in lowest INT%, also tied for fewest sacks, fewest fumbles, and fewest yards lost. Jimmy had his best performance of his career and was truly elite for the partial season he played, and set up Purdy and the team to take us deep into the playoffs. He deserves more recognition than he gets. Yeah, he then bombed at the Raiders. I suspect a lot of Jimmy's performance had to do with the excellent coaching in SF vs. not so great coaching in LV.
@@rhmayer1 perhaps but it is undeniable that you can be a consistent contributor or team leader if you are always hurt. And I loooved Jimmy earlier in his career. As the coaching precept says, availability is the best ability. Thanks for sharing!
As a Niners fan for over almost 50 years I can tell you this. Yes we've had incredible quarterbacks Brody, Montana, Young, Garcia and Smith but with Purdy he just doesn't settle, just like the ones before him. He doesn't want to be ok he wants to show you at every season, every game and every play that he will give you 110%! Just like the greats before him, why do you think guys like Montana and Young and dare I say Brady respect the kid! Purdy is what makes us Niners Faithful! He is the story we ❤ to hear, follow and want for our boys in Red and Gold! Purdy will get what he deserves and be the next greatest quarterback not just for the 49ers but in the league and he'll do while remaining humble! Let's go Niners!!! ❤💛🏈
A number of college quarterbacks were selected ahead of Brock Purdy. Who were they and where are they? Purdy has tremendous courage. He throws a very catchable ball. He knows when to throw the ball away.
He reads the field like Tom and all the greats! He is relevant now! All greats are system QBs! Coaching is a big thing. But he makes it look easy most the time! They want proof I'm sure he proved it!
The problem is that he came from Iowa State. I live in Ames and attended most of his home games. Many analysts said that Iowa State is just sort of a middling team that doesn't face great competition. However, Purdy was 2-1 vs Texas. And although he was 1-3 against Oklahoma, those 3 losses were by an average of less than a touchdown including an epic 42-41 shootout loss to Jalen Hurts. Those same analysts wouldn't say that about Texas or Oklahoma. Oh ya....They CRUSHED Oregon in the 2021 Fiesta bowl too. The fact of the matter is the kid is a straight up baller, and from some common friends, a total gym rat and a really good dude. I hope he shuts some people up.
I've always said that Brock Purdy, will never get the respect he deserves because he was picked last in the 2022 draft. The only thing Brock Purdy should be focusing in on is winning games, just let your play do the talking at the end of the day actions speaks louder than words it's only matter of time that world is going know about Brock Purdy when he wins the Super Bowl.
The NFL cannot accept the fact that the basis for evaluating players is speed and size and never heart. This guy is so cool and never panics during a play. He surprised the NFL because they did not pick him as a great prospect. They will never admit they made a huge mistake. But the 49ers did see something in this young man. He is a great player and always will be.
The more I see of Brock Purdy, the more he reminds me of Tom Brady. He's composed, confident and accurate when throwing in the pocket and can scramble well and is typically pretty accurate when throwing on the run. I'm a life long KC Chiefs fan, but was very impressed with him in the Super Bowl against the Chiefs. I'd say he's already a contender for the Hall of Fame, Mr. Irrelevant indeed!
Great video! You missed a couple more records by Purdy. He broke the adjusted net yards per attempt (ANY/A) record (which basically measures how efficient you are as a passer), he had the highest DVOA score for a player who didn't win MVP, and he had the highest passer rating in his first 10 games in NFL history. And Jimmy g, Brock's lack of height/arm strength, and his draft position are the main reasons people haven't bought in. But if Purdy continues his historic levels of efficiency, a lot of people are going to look really dumb.
The more I see of Brock Purdy, the more he reminds me of Tom Brady. The first thing I noticed was his calm accuracy in the pocket just like Brady. And he has the ability to scramble well and throw accurately on the run. I think San Francisco is still the biggest threat to the Chiefs desire to be the first team in NFL history to three-peat in the Super Bowl. You just mentioned another way he's like Tom Brady that I hadn't really thought of, being overlooked in the draft coming out of college. And then with all of the injuries the 48ers had in 2022 that gave him the chance to get on the field. And I believe he's going to continue to improve as he gains real time experience and I thought he should have been in the conversation for MVP last year and if he continues to perform at such a high level, he should be in the conversation again. But will he? I certainly hope so.
Main difference is that Brady won 3 tittles in his first four years starting. And even after that many people doubted him. Purdy has time. Thanks for watching!
it is simple "if all the doubters gave him credit, scouts, coaches, general managers and front office people as well as the sports reporters, critics and x-players much like the Tom Brady days they would have to admit, they really don't know how to seek and find talent that's not agreed upon and elevated by one another!!" You know pride comes before a fall, and they don't want to fall!
Niner fan and Purdy supporter, he just has some work to do that’s all. He’s not overrated nor underrated but he’s at that stage where he needs to prove himself and all the haters wrong
Brock Purdy is just a hell of a quarter back.... well all the hater's are just as bright as a burnt match 😂..... Purdy doesn't have to prove anything to anyone and that's a fact !!!!!!!!!!!💪💯👍😎✌️
The good thing, is that the people who played or are currently playing the QB position, is giving him the respect he deserves and acknowledges his value to his team. It's really the people in the media who probably never played a down of football in their life or former players who never played the position that are criticizing him and still waiting for the other shoe to drop... but in the end, all that matters to Brock is what do Kyle, John, Jed York, and the rest of his teammates think of him. they're the only ones he needs to be concerned about... and from the look of things, he already earned those people's respect. We the Faithful, are only the cherry on top.
The answer is obvious. Purdy, like Brady, went to a team loaded with talent. Many had.the 49ers going to the Super Bowl. All the 9ers needed was someone who would not screw it up. It gave Purdy a chance to show his talent. He stepped up and won the games he needed. He is still surrounded be talent and he is playing like a seasoned pro. I don't now how be would have done on a lesser team, but he is doing what it takes.
All 49ERS Fans Love & Respect Brock Purdy being here. First: this team was built with stars 🌟 before Brock. Any skillful quarterback can manage this team. They say it in comments: any quarterback would love to have his position. I call for Jimmy garoppolo to be benched in the Denver game 2 years ago. But Jimmy garoppolo got hurt in the Miami dolphins. He's Elite Now.. it's about winning a superbowl.
The one stat that I point Purdy-deniers to that is really an indisputable elite stat is his #1 CPOE among all QB's in 2023. Completion Percentage Over Expectation is an advanced, weighted metric that compares QB performance, in this case Cmpl%, under duress - in difficult, challenging situations, compared to the league average QB expectation for identical pressure situations. All OE statistics do this - compare the individual against all the others at the position under the same situation and conditions. It's a weighted stat that "levels the playing field," taking into consideration all factors like having top receivers or not, the down and yardage needed situation, etc., even the weather and field conditions. To be #1 CPOE to me is kind of the single stat gold standard. He beat ALL other QB's. On top of earning #1 Passer Rating, #1 QBR, #1 ETA/P (efficiency), #1 against the blitz, #1 in the red zone, smashing the NFL deep pass Cmpl% record by 9%, breaking the NFC record for biggest halftime comeback in a Championship game, breaking the 49er franchise record for most passing yards in a season (breaking Jeff Garcia's, Steve Young's and Joe Montana's records), enabling FOUR(!) of his teammates 1,000+ yard seasons (one of them actually a 2,000+ season; the only player in 2023 to achieve that) - the #1 CPOE pretty much puts the nail in the coffin for anyone dumb enough to continue arguing that Purdy isn't elite. He's earned the E-rating. There really isn't any serious argument against it. I'd like to make a separate point about a weak vs. strong arm. First of all, Purdy doesn't have a weak arm. It's plenty strong enough - hence his smashing of the NFL deep Cmpl% record. He just doesn't throw many bullets. He doesn't HAVE to. He throws mostly MORE CATCHABLE rainbow arc throws that drop over the defenders with very consistent accuracy. Low trajectory fast balls are much more likely to be intercepted or knocked down, and are more frequently dropped. Having a very strong arm is NOT that great of a factor - it is WAY overrated. It just needs to be sufficiently strong. Hey, I was the 3rd string QB on my junior high school football team. I was chosen because during tryouts I threw the longest pass. Sure, I had a strong arm. But I was CRAP on accuracy! Anyone with a brain knows that accuracy, consistency, field vision and going through your progressions quickly, quick reading of defenses and quick decision-making are WAY more important than arm strength. And Purdy has all those more-important skills. And btw plenty of arm strength whenever needed.
It's disgusting how the NFL has really favored certain players or QBs based solely on things that have nothing to do with their game and more to do with agendas and marketing. I truly believe that had Brock Purdy a better OL in the recent superbowl, he makes throws that change the game. Joe Burrow had the same problem in superbowl 56. He had the weapons but his OL wasn't good enough and he got dominated by Aaron Donald, just like Chris Jones did to our OL. The difference between Purdy and Burrow is that Burrow was supposed to be the guy and has lived up to it (For now 9/13/2024 at 2:01pm PST), while Purdy wasn't supposed to be the guy at all, but is. Now will that translate into a Superbowl? Only time will tell.
Simply, he has gone from being Mr. Irrelevant to Mr. Relevant and that scares some people. Because he is different, he has a calm personality and he is not a social media freak.
The thing is his peers do respect him and his game. The only people who don't respect it are clown analysts and fans who don't kno football. Anyone that knows anything can recognize this kid is a baller. He is perfect for Kyle shanahans system also. But the people claimin he is only good because of Kyle's system are wrong in my opinion. But we won't kno until he playa in another system(if he ever does). Brock is a top 8 quarterback in the NFL tho and people need to put some respect on his name lol
The reality is most fans and even scouts don't know good QB play when they see it. Scouts want measurables and fans want entertainment. They Lamar or Hebert. Real experts are on Purdy.
The truth is that Brock has to do twice the work to get the same amount of credit as a first round QB. Is it fair? No. But that’s just the reality of his situation.
@@FootballDaddyYT my point was if Purdy was 1st pick he would be more accepted. Unfortunate because it feels like Josh Allen or even Trevor Lawrence gets more love than Brock.
Think it will take more. Brady won 3/4 20 years ago and was still a game manager / system QB for a while. Takes more than winning one. Thanks for watching
@@roemellobellsure do but coaches are measured by a different standard. They become geniuses without winning a thing or get way too much blame when things go poorly.
Go BIG inside the Orange Zone (opponent’s 30yd-35yd line)… With JP, CMC, and Juice in the backfield, Kittle at TE, then 3rd and Jauan at WR. With that combination of size, power, and (most importantly) VERSATILITY, coupled with Kyle’s scheme, creativity, and the ability to use Shifts/ Motion to exploit mismatches, Defenses CANNOT even compete! Let’s break it down: 1.) CMC: RB, Slot, AND Wideout/ X Receiver 2.) JP Mason: RB, FB, Slot 3.) Juice: RB, FB, TE, Slot 4.) Kittle: TE, FB, Slot, Wideout 5.) 3rd & Jauan: TE, Slot, Wideout… AND QUARTERBACK! It’s literally impossible not to create AT LEAST two mismatches… You need at least 3 legitimate starting LBs and a star Strong Safety to even have a chance to stop the run in that formation. But then, you’re dead to rights in coverage. If you drop a LB for a Nickel to play the pass, you’re getting drug 30 yards and pummeled in the run game. THEN, after dealing with that for a couple possessions before Halftime, you have to chase a flawless route runner like Aiyuk and a totally fresh Deebo after being beaten, battered, and bruised. Plus, the Defensive Line is exhausted giving Brock extra time to get the ball out downfield.
Too many things working agsinst him 1. He is an open Christian 2. Last Draft pick 3. Didnt win a SB (some odd reason he had to do that) 4. Sorrounded by talent (apparently he is the only QB with good teammates) 5. Most analyst are rival players, so there will be BS bias takes Point is if he hasnt convinced people by now, he never will
My issue with dissing Brock Purdy as a "system quarterback" since he plays for Kyle Shanahan, who's renowned for being one of the geniuses of system design is that no matter how well-crafted a given system is, it won't produce championship, or at least championship-contending, results if it doesn't have a capable quarterback to run it. Merely a "game-managing" quarterback, BP13 is not. The 2000 Ravens' starting QB, Trent Dilfer, was the posterboy of what a "game-managing" QB looks like. He doesn't just toss the ball to the RB on most plays and then once in awhile throw a dink-and-dunk 5-10 yd screen pass to a TE or a WR playing shallow, and then every once in a long while try a deeper pass of more than 10 yds. That's the way a "game-managing"/ system QB plays the game,⁹ and that's not how BP13 plays the game
Pro bowler Brady played in Tampa with: Mike Evans (WR) Chris Godwin (WR) Tristan Wirfs (OT) Lavonte David (LB) Shaquil Barrett (OLB) Rob Gronkowski (TE) He might be not as good as everybody says....
I can't help but wonder if a lot of the negative perception of Brock Purdy is that he is too nice a guy. To many, "real" football stars are rugged, rough, swaggering behemoths that clearly intimidate those around them. Mr. Purdy is instead a kind, soft-spoken, caring person. Can't someone like that be a superstar too?
More than $60M per for sure. He will get there with another good year. Quarterback play is at an all time low, can’t let competent QBs walk out of your club. See Tua, Goff, Trevor Lawrence.

Last year's playoffs 49ers vs Packers, lotta people were writing off the Packers for not going very far. Purdy played like a decent QB but he's not elite. CMC was the difference maker in what was a very close game. Best compliment I could give Purdy, the team has rallied around him and he has exceptional leadership qualities.
gone to SB only his 2nd year in the NFL. only 2 QB's has done that recently, Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy. legends in the making, both of them. and that is tough to say because i heavily dislike Eagles 😩
I've never understood the knock on his arm strength. Last year he had one of the longest passes of any QB for the season, and not once but twice. He was dropping dimes all year to Kittle, Deebo, and Brandon, and even McCaffrey. I can't stand Nick Wright's hate, but he did touch on a point that bears credit: half of this is Jimmy G's shadow. Because Jimmy had ONE good season out of 5 with the 9ers, that's the bench mark people use to compare Purdy's success. Ignoring, of course, that the RUN GAME and a historically-good Defense is what won us games, not Jimmy. Whereas you can specifically pick out games where Purdy didn't just leave his mark, but was instrumental in winning. If it hadn't been for Jimmy, none of this would be an issue.
He follows Jesus Christ his story is from god himself all these disrespects aren’t following Jesus Christ all those who can feel the spirit in him don’t disagree🙏🏼✝️
They put up their best seasons when the supporting cast is top notch, so yes. The very best elevate their teammates even when the team is not as good, what sets them apart.
Part of his critics is because he is an openly God loving Christian. They did the same exact thing to Tim Tebow & for the same reason. Pathetic. You go Purdy!!!!
Brock openly declared Jesus Christ is his King and gives any and all glory to God…those that run the industry swing the other way and so it makes perfect sense to me.

Well said. Enjoy the season!
I think he gives more like 114 percent.
Anyone who knows football could tell from Purdy’s 1st snap he was special.
It’s funny how the entire league respects him but the media doesn’t.
He doesn't have to show he's a good QB he already done the job the critics are just jealous to me he's the man
Thanks for watching!
A number of college quarterbacks were selected ahead of Brock Purdy. Who were they and where are they? Purdy has tremendous courage. He throws a very catchable ball. He knows when to throw the ball away.
Enjoy the season!
Thanks for sharing!
Ever since he started i had confidence in him. The haters dont want a hero. Go faithful❤
Enjoy the season!
Thanks for watching!
He's not just Purdy, he's the Purdyest.
🤔
The dude has it where it counts. In his chest and in between his ears....
He already has respect from his peers.
Who cares what people think? We're winning and going to SBs! Amazing story, great QB.
Seeing his and Brady’s story lowkey makes me want to be walk on and be a qb like I always wanted to be
The more I see of Brock Purdy, the more he reminds me of Tom Brady.
I believe he has respect and proved himself!!!! GO 2:24 PURDY ! GO 49ERS!!❤😂🎉🏈
Brock Purdy is an Elite Quarterback!😊❤
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the feedback!
We Just needs to win this coming superbowl.
Pury needs respect
Purdy is a better person than he is football player. And he’s an elite football player. Great all around dude!
Purdy could win the SB on roller skates and still get criticized for not doing it blindfolded.
Probably true 🤔
A true Cinderalla story
Good stories need a good villain. Wonder who will be his…
❤😊 we are very pleased and proud of PURDY #13
I believe he will help get us a SuperBowl
It's coming
it is simple "if all the doubters gave him credit, scouts, coaches, general managers and front office people as well as the sports reporters, critics and x-players much like the Tom Brady days they would have to admit, they really don't know how to seek and find talent that's not agreed upon and elevated by one another!!" You know pride comes before a fall, and they don't want to fall!
Thanks for watching!
Niner fan and Purdy supporter, he just has some work to do that’s all. He’s not overrated nor underrated but he’s at that stage where he needs to prove himself and all the haters wrong
Nice take 👍🏼
These general managers cannot get over their mistake of letting him slide
Probably true
EXCELLENT!!!
Thanks for watching!
Brock Purdy is just a hell of a quarter back.... well all the hater's are just as bright as a burnt match 😂..... Purdy doesn't have to prove anything to anyone and that's a fact !!!!!!!!!!!💪💯👍😎✌️
He is Mr. relevant now
The good thing, is that the people who played or are currently playing the QB position, is giving him the respect he deserves and acknowledges his value to his team.
To me he’s top five for sure, maybe top two.
Purdy is a dawg! He has the IQ and talent and the nay-sayers will soon be silenced.
Great video
Thank you!
How can you lead the league in air yards and still get disrespected like Purdy.
People see what they want to see. Will likely never give him credit. Thanks for watching!
Goat
real good video bro, i assumed you had like a mil subs keep up the great vids
Appreciate it! Brand new channel
Honestly, he would've led the team to the superbowl in his rookie year had he not got injured in the NFCCG against the Eagles.
He's the Baby GOAT
Tom Brady didnt earn respect until he won like three super bowls, and even then he still got hate
I would say 5 but agree on the premise
The answer is obvious. Purdy, like Brady, went to a team loaded with talent. Many had.the 49ers going to the Super Bowl. All the 9ers needed was someone who would not screw it up. It gave Purdy a chance to show his talent. He stepped up and won the games he needed. He is still surrounded be talent and he is playing like a
seasoned pro.
Enjoy the season!
He's like the cybertruck! Hated until they learn about him
Many are not familiar with his game. Part of the issue. Do enjoy the season!
Sweet vid!
As 49ers fan, they can pay him 70m/y to keep him, i dont care
Love the comment! CPOE is indeed a superior metric, thanks for sharing
Burrow is a curious case. He may have already peaked. Thanks for watching!
Fair take. Thanks for the feedback!
Retiring now and still making it into Canton is the only way he'll silence critics lol
The reality is most fans and even scouts don't know good QB play when they see it. Scouts want measurables and fans want entertainment. They Lamar or Hebert. Real experts are on Purdy.
🎯 THIS! Scouting, developing QBs is a rare art. Love it.
The truth is that Brock has to do twice the work to get the same amount of credit as a first round QB. Is it fair? No. But that’s just the reality of his situation.
He basically did what Joe Burrow did by going to the Superbowl but the difference was Burrow was 1st pick instead of 262nd
Burrow had a quick ascension to the top. Things have not looked as good the last 15 month. Interesting comp
@@FootballDaddyYT my point was if Purdy was 1st pick he would be more accepted. Unfortunate because it feels like Josh Allen or even Trevor Lawrence gets more love than Brock.
@@FootballDaddyYT agree with Burrow he is starting to struggle and seems teams are catching up to him in terms of scheming
Hasn’t he done this already? I seem to remember 30 teams that did not go to the SB last year. His did.
Good point 👍🏼
Took away his loaded offense, and now he has a loosing record with mid stats
Also we cant forget he knocked off tom brady his first year as a starter
I’m a Packers fan but he is a good quarterback
Patience 49ers fans , you have a quarterback for the ages. Patience.
He would’ve silenced the haters if he would’ve the superbowl but he’s just another qb in a roster stacked with talent
I bet the "game manager" comment came from the sorry raiders front office cuz they definitely know what good qbs look like.
You have to win the Superbowl that's it 💯
Think it will take more. Brady won 3/4 20 years ago and was still a game manager / system QB for a while. Takes more than winning one. Thanks for watching
@@FootballDaddyYT no when you really grow up on the old school 49ers it was 82 when they won the Superbowl stop trying to play me in old school
@@roemellobellthere is nobody new school like him. Only Brady, Kurt Warner. How it is 🤷♂️
@@FootballDaddyYT when I grew up I have seen a coach win the Superbowl in 3 years you know who that was right
@@roemellobellsure do but coaches are measured by a different standard. They become geniuses without winning a thing or get way too much blame when things go poorly.
A Tom Brady Mini me! 😅
Let’s break it down:
1.) CMC: RB, Slot, AND Wideout/ X Receiver
2.) JP Mason: RB, FB, Slot
3.) Juice: RB, FB, TE, Slot
4.) Kittle: TE, FB, Slot, Wideout
5.) 3rd & Jauan: TE, Slot, Wideout… AND QUARTERBACK!
Love the detailed comment and passion! Thanks for watching
Too many things working agsinst him
1. He is an open Christian
2. Last Draft pick
3. Didnt win a SB (some odd reason he had to do that)
4. Sorrounded by talent (apparently he is the only QB with good teammates)
5. Most analyst are rival players, so there will be BS bias takes
Point is if he hasnt convinced people by now, he never will
Did not knew 1. Thanks for the feedback!
Fuck silencing critics. The Niner Empire got you!
I dont understand it. Montana didnt have a cannon. Brady was super unathletic. And still people overlook people like Purdy
Goes against their standards and expectations. He is not that they expected, will take time to change minds. Thanks for watching!
Those saying he is irrelevant better take a second look, he definitely is not that.
The only hater purdy will never silence is Nick Wright. That guy hates Purdy😂
That guy 🙄
No, because no matter what Brock purdy accomplishes they'll always be criticism that arises from those that watch him
Agreed, you can’t reason with unreasonable folks. Enjoy the season!
@@FootballDaddyYT you do the same 🤝
they talk down on him because he always gives praise to God. That always triggers folks
Very interesting
It’s because everyone’s too busy glazing over Mahomes
All the people commenting think people are talking smack, but they all just saying he’s not a $60million a year qb, That’s the subtle difference
On the current market? He will be. He is better than Goff, Tua, Trevor. We’ll see. Thanks for watching!
Agreed. He is more than a game manager. The question centers more around his ceiling.
Pro bowler Brady played in Tampa with:
Mike Evans (WR)
Chris Godwin (WR)
Tristan Wirfs (OT)
Lavonte David (LB)
Shaquil Barrett (OLB)
Rob Gronkowski (TE)
He might be not as good as everybody says....
Sure but Brady probably has the greatest career ever. Hard to compare anyone to him.
See your point though
I can't help but wonder if a lot of the negative perception of Brock Purdy is that he is too nice a guy. To many, "real" football stars are rugged, rough, swaggering behemoths that clearly intimidate those around them. Mr. Purdy is instead a kind, soft-spoken, caring person. Can't someone like that be a superstar too?
Not sexy so you’re probably right. There’s football, then marketing.
The new Tony Romo
Really? Tony always seemed very uneven to me.
As a Niners fan, I am scared!! If the cowboys gave a QB like dak $60 a year, how much will the Niners have to give Purdy?!?!?!
More than $60M per for sure. He will get there with another good year. Quarterback play is at an all time low, can’t let competent QBs walk out of your club. See Tua, Goff, Trevor Lawrence.
If he doesn’t get fucking injured the first year he have a 2 time SB and maybe won 1
Huge what if. Thanks for watching
@@FootballDaddyYT he get injured in the conference finals is not a huge if. A huge if is if he gets injured in the first game like rodgers not in the finals like Purdy
@@carlosbaez7884 a rookie in the SB? Maybe he lays an egg. Maybe he kills KC. We will never know. Thats what I mean. He had his chance last year, came up short. Some teams swear that they will compete every year, be perennial contenders, very few do. I believe in him, just curious about his ceiling.
Fair take. Enjoy the season!
gone to SB only his 2nd year in the NFL. only 2 QB's has done that recently, Jalen Hurts and Brock Purdy. legends in the making, both of them. and that is tough to say because i heavily dislike Eagles 😩
Have some questions about Hurts, who seems to have peaked in 22. As of today I would prefer Purdy.
Yeah, Nick Wright is just obnoxious.
He follows Jesus Christ his story is from god himself all these disrespects aren’t following Jesus Christ all those who can feel the spirit in him don’t disagree🙏🏼✝️
Many have commented on this. It is an interesting aspect to it. Thanks for watching!
Don’t all good qbs have a beast team to back them up
They put up their best seasons when the supporting cast is top notch, so yes. The very best elevate their teammates even when the team is not as good, what sets them apart.
Part of his critics is because he is an openly God loving Christian. They did the same exact thing to Tim Tebow & for the same reason. Pathetic. You go Purdy!!!!
Gene was not a good qb. He was selected in the 1st rd.
Brock openly declared Jesus Christ is his King and gives any and all glory to God…those that run the industry swing the other way and so it makes perfect sense to me.
You lost me when you brought Brady into the convo. Brock is no cheater. #deflategate
Ahhhh, how I miss silly Pats controversies. Might need to make a vid about Deflategate. Apropos, he did win 4 championships after that. Thanks for watching!
The sports media are so biased these days and for some reason just will not give Brock credit for being a truly great quarterback. I am sure he could care less what these morons think about him.
Problem is the media is still a vital part of the football environment- fantasy football, gambling and the coverage of the teams still depends heavily on beat writer, local stations, networks and the talking heads. Necessary evil.
Thanks for watching!
Well-as a Fin I have no reason to not respect this dude
