    Larry's issue is that arm wrestling always seems to play background to whatever he is doing. Wether that is powerlifting or bodybuilding. Everytime we seen him get off those training cycles and spend time arm wrestling with frequency he makes a huge leap. He just needs to focus strictly on arm wrestling and he would jump up the ranks.

      the thing is, why would a guy like Larry focus on AW over powerlifting and bodybuilding ? That doesn't sound like a smart career choice.

    • @bdbrolly
      @bdbrolly Місяць тому

      @@bee2690 all of Larrys most popular videos are arm wrestling videos..... his Bodybuilding videos are some of his worst performing. from a viewership aka a financial standpoint, he would make more money doing powerlifting or collabing with strongman or armrwestlers all the time. Just doing videos with random tiktok bodybuilders is a financial bust by comparison

      @Pepe-pq3om Місяць тому +7

      Yes, if he had the skills to properly turn his shoulder and slowly drag the other dude's arm open, like Devon did when he mainly hooked, he would've won 90% of the matches in this vido where he lost. The strength is definitely there.

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 Місяць тому

      @@Pepe-pq3om Absolutely. Even now his technique needs a lot of work. There are so many positions he's not comfortable in, and he really doesn't seem to know what to do from a lot of them. His progress is unbelievable though, which is important to note. I can't wait to see his continued progress for the future. I have no idea how seriously he's taking it though. Probably some of the fastest progress you'll see for an arm wrestler despite his technical weaknesses.

    Larry has vastly improved in the last couple years, seemingly without a bunch of dedication to specifically training for the sport. He has just needed time, he definitely still has all of the potential to be legitimate threat especially on the left hand.

      Yeah, I have said it's unbelievable he's so good at so many things. It actually show very high dedication and very high intelligence to get that good at multiple things. The problem is is that he won't be number 1 or in that very very elite category. I agree with you, and think he needs to focus on just one with full effort to do that. He will need to keep that focus consistently as well. I don't know if he wants arm wrestling that badly by itself.

    Larry needs you and larratt to get him training pronation. If he got his pronation super strong it would help. Larry has always mastered anything he tries hes a genetic freak. I first came across him 16 yrs ago when he hanged with Krieger strength. Him and black tom cruise and nick kreiger made cool videos he started with gaglione strenght. He was only 18 when i first came across him . Many did not know who he was at that time. He blew up fast doing crazy lifts for competition for college . Caich Gaglione got him so fine tuned he was setting records and challenging stan efferding at that time. He won many contest . He just blew people out of the water . He definitely was the strongest in the world especially for his weight.

    • @billj4525
      @billj4525 Місяць тому

      Larry is unbelievable and a genetic freak, and every challenge he takes on he seems to excel at it. It's amazing he's gotten as good as he has at so many different things, strength and muscle related for the most part. It also shows his very high intellect. You're not going to succeed and get that good at these things that quick without a ton of intelligence and a great strategic plan of attack when learning them, so I think people underestimate how intelligent he is. Clearly extremely intelligence and extremely capable as well. Larry is an absolute beast and an absolute genetic freak. His dedication and work ethic is next level as well. All these things are necessary to get as good as he's gotten. He's pro level in pretty much all these things. For his weight he likely was one of the strongest in the world at least in the big 3-powerlifting one rep maxes. When he was focusing just on that he was very close. Focusing on all these things though is great, but he likely won't be number 1 in all of them, because you usually need to focus on just one thing, although Larry is a very different than most, but it will still be very very hard. I have no idea how serious he's even taking arm wrestling now.

    Larry is totally built for tournament style competitions where its 1 blitz and then a long rest period. Its exactly like the powerlifting hes done for 20 years. His main problem in super matches is the short recovery time allowed. It wasnt too long ago when AW was all about tournaments but that has pretty much totally given way to a pure supermatch meta. I kinda miss tournaments with all the big names in it like Zloty tour. ..

    What i love about leonidas is he has the stereotypical body builder physique that people always trash talk about being weak..and hes crazy good and strong! 😂 Love it, shuts a lot if people up. I always say body builders aren't necessarily weak they just train very specialised and they train to not get injured. its all about keeping the muscles full and working well over long periods of time. Strength is very subjective and specific to what your training for.

    Larry's biggest problem is that he's wishy-washy and changes his mind about his goals as often as the wind blows. One day he'll want to be a bodybuilder, a week later he's no longer interested in bodybuilding and wants to focus on arm wrestling, a week after that there's something new that pulls his focus away. If he actually fully dedicated himself to one thing, he could be great. This is a big mistake people make in life, floating in the wind. You really have to pick one thing and just go for it, you can't spread yourself too thin or you'll never get anywhere.

    • @harambereincarnate
      @harambereincarnate Місяць тому

      Don't speak as if you know what's right for him or anyone.
      He has been successful regardless. The cards he's dealt may not be the same as yours. The uncertainty he has may be different from the uncertainty or lack thereof that you have experienced. There is nothing wrong with have a multitude of experiences. Obviously hyper focusing in one area will typically yield the greatest results, but being one dimensional can have its downfalls as well.
      This guy has many successes, and in the world of strength he is elite. I'm just wondering what your accolades are that give you the position to say he has a "big problem" and that his choices have been "big mistakes".

    at first he was so awkward and could only concentrate on a couple directions.. now he looks much more intuitive and natural, 5000 hands later what you expect. he still needs to find HIS lane IMO. if he would learn to transfer to press, like lefty against devon it would add more dangerous depth to his game. he is way better than his showings a KOT, he needs a good coach in the corner on each match, his setup skills are lacking because he’s to nice we need dick larry to come to the fight. he may become #1 left before right IMO.
