In the mid 70's I took an H & R Block class to learn how to prepare taxes. They taught us to complete tax returns for sex workers just like any other self-employed (Schedule C) person. They are paying taxes on their income and paying into their social security. Most illegal businesses were convicted for tax evasion, not the actual drug dealing, prostitution, etc.

excellent interview and discussion...as an 'enjoyer' of adult entertainment since the 70's, I too have seen the whole spectrum of the sex industry's evolution from back then up till now. vanessa del rio was also my first 'adult crush' on film right along with the mainstream actresses of the day on the silver screen and television such as pam grier, bern nadette stanis(slaus) and jayne kennedy because i thought that she was a black woman too as a gorgeous latina. i was well immersed and had many favorites by the time sinnamon had came onto the scene, where her body type didn't really attract my attention back then(too flapjack breasted and gap toothed for my liking) but she has 'swollen' very nicely over the years into her beautiful 50s. miss britnee nasty is a new favorite of mine since i discovered her as an instagram model during the pandemic in 2020 but is 'exotically exciting' as an adult star i've seen...ms. cross, you already know how i feel about you and your 'intellectual intensity' and could only imagine what you could and would present if ever you ever had the urge to 'step into their world and let it all hang out' but i will leave that to my inner freak minded self!...as long as you keep speaking and educating the way that you do, it will be good enough for me, sista!!

I really appreciate this episode. I really believe sex education needs to fall PRIMARILY on the parents, then on the schools. The porn industry can show all of the pre- and post- discussions they want, BUT if it not REGULATED to be a PERMANENT part of the movie/video, that messaging is LOST, or never seen. We need to STOP expecting everyone else to talk to our children about sex, rape, molestation, child sex trafficking, etc. and ACTUALLY handle it.

It's nice to see Sinnamon Love after all these years. I started loving porn in the 80's so she definitely is one of my go to's . . . if you know what I mean. Miss B. This was a completely unexpected show topic, which only proves that you are limitless in your range of capabilities journalistically. I am 61, as I became more mentally/emotionally mature I realized that pornography was particularly one sided psychologically. It is almost always portrayed from a Caucasian male perspective. Upon that realization, it made sense that it didn't make sense. Human sexuality is undeniable, the drives are too great. The corruption of how we view human sexuality is completely avoidable and should be taught to young men and women before they become jaded. Thank you Ms. Cross, Ms. Love, and Ms. B. Nasty for your candor, and tackling a taboo topic which most run from or pretend they are unaware of.

This, Why would they be suffering with mental health issues because of their occupation? Fire fighters literally go into burning buildings, Navy seal infiltrate countries KNOWING they will die or at a minimum be severely harmed if caught astronauts leave this planet with death lurking when they leave are in orbit AND in re-entry, do you think they have mental health issues? I believe that both of these women are dealing with some form of unresolved sexual trauma from being abused. i can't believe that any psychologically, emotionally healthy woman would enjoy doing this for a living. I think with Sinnamon this is the only life that she knows because she started out so young in the business and she did it for survival. And Brittany became addicted to self pleasuring after being abused which probably led her into porn. I truly have sympathy for the traumatized child that still lives within both of the women...😢
