So nice when artists we love aren't beaten by addiction. That, his devotion to his disabled son, and his willingness to take on odd roles that may alienate some of his audience all justify my man crush.
That's how you know an actor's got appreciation for not only the role, but also his own craft and other practitioners of said craft. Being able to drop his name without even having watched the show shows mad respect.
Colin could have gone down another road early in his career but chose to be the most gracious, generous and caring celebrities going. Absolute props to that man
Before the pandemic i never really watched the show but after it it became more relaxed and with the way Seth chats with guests reminds me of Craig Fergusson. Love that man to bits.
Craig Ferguson was always my favorite late night host, Seth is such a close second. Also, if you’re missing Craig, he has a rad podcast called Joy where he interviews only people he likes/is interested in. Not just actors and industry people (thank everything, ha)
Have you noticed that Seth doesn't use cards like all the other Late Night hosts? His enthusiasm for the guests, and his desire to highlight their talents and bring out their best give him that laid back charm as if you were watching a couple of friends chatting in the relaxed environment his living room.
@@temporaladvisor3958 exactly. Ithink it might be due to his tims in improv. Craig fergusons interviews with michael sheen and ewan mcgregor are sooò funny. Like they clearly were friends. Bonus point: craig ferguson was in a punk band with peter capaldi 😀
Shout out to Colin for _naming_ his makeup crew. Super important job, but how often do they get to actually get mentioned by name by an A-lister? Hundreds of people, beyond the actors and director and composer, are involved in making a movie or modern big budget TV show. The people who get to go on the talking heads tours should make a point of calling attention to them more often, especially when the people they were working with were particularly good.
Didn't even mention his voice. Come on!! That was one of the most amazing transformations. Such incredible talent. Very few actors can literally disappear and are indistinguishable in their character. Colin was straight up not there. Unbelievable
Colin Farrell has done a great job as Penguin so far with his role and the look as well. As he said credit to the entire makeup team for getting that look as Colin looks unrecognizable in that look and looks great as the Penguin(as accurate as possible). In “The Batman” movie where we see Penguin for the first time I couldn’t believe that Colin Farrell was Penguin as I was impressed by the makeup team for the job they did on Colin for the look and then his acting just completed the job and perfectly balanced out the character. Big up Seth Meyers.
I was just a bit to say that Seth is probably the best showbiz interviewer when I read the other comments saying much the same thing. Still, I stand by it, even if it is repetitious.
Cristin Milioti will absolutely steal this series....Colin is amazing as Oz but Cristin is going to give the performance of her career in this...she's been waiting for this role forever, she almost had it in Fargo but they didn't use her character like they should have....this will be a role we talk about for decades, I'll even compare it to Heath's Joker...mark my words
I have to say once again I love that Seth genuinely enjoys comic book based media as you can see in him interviewing people like Grant Morrison and Alex Ross and his appearance as Jack Ryder in the Batman audio series. Also very good first episode of the penguin reminding me how charismatic Colin is and even with the horrible actions of Oz he manages to make him likeable somehow.
Tonight, on Late Night, Seth continues to refuse to say, "Lego Bricks" instead of "Legos!" That's the kind of spite that only comes from having accidentally stepped on countless scattered Lego bricks.

HUGE respect to Colin for mentioning Robin Lord Taylor. His portrayal of Oswald Oswald in the Gotham series is awesome!

It’s hard not to love CF. Such a likeable, talented guy who (imho) really has matured and seems ever so grateful for his life and all he has. Big fan!
I have to say currently Seth and Conan are the best interviewers because they seem to actually want to get to know the guests.
Graham Norton is also great. He lets the celebrities talk and drink and have so much fun.
1000%. As close as we get to Terry Gross level.

Agreed, like Craig Ferguson it feels like he’s having a genuine conversation with the guests

It must be a British thing. David Tennant mentions his make up artists. And both he and Michael Sheen mention the costumes and crew on Good Omens.
