The best tip on this build is to use the TV or CRT horizontal transistor too, something like 2SC3997, 5 turns to the base and 10 or more for the colector, with this transistor I have used 2K 3W if I remember it correctly maybe was a potentiometer. But why? Because it's a high voltage transistor and will survive to much more higher voltage, will of course became hot too but less then the 2n3055 and it is made just for this... I have tested for hours with this configuration with no problems at all, almost 12 years ago. ;D
does the wire have to be insulated? i bought some 16 gauge copper wire for the antenna and i'm wondering if i can use that for wrapping around the flyback.
Ok got it to work finnaly. I have a 12V 4A power supply now and it worked for a brief momment and it blew the transistor. How much should i lover the V/I i was thinking getting a 2k2 resistor in series for voltage to go to 9V what do you think?
Hi LS Just a thought. When you make electric arc or spark it produces o3 which I believe is very harmful. I wonder if Tesla was experimenting with this, did he not get exposed to this gas
The external windings make the flyback produce AC voltage. The flyback internals have diodes to make DC voltage, so you need to use an external winding to utilize the flyback in an AC configuration like this with these components.
Hi... I'm back with one more thing! I have finally made my final driver which is mazilli's zvs driver... I get very good arcs and tesla coil is working awesome.. But as always.. Bad happened to me again... I was using computer psu with 12v 18A but I kept the driver on for 30 seconds and the psu blasted (kind of)... Now I want to know that if I can use a 12v 2A ac to dc adapter as power supply?
The dielectric strength of air is about 10Kv per centimeter. So if your arcs are 1cm, it's about 10Kv. You can also make a probe using Mega Ohm resistors and use your regular meter to measure high voltages. There are several videos online how to make a high voltage probe.
LudicScience, I made one like this, but now the problem is that when I drive it with my tesla coil, I can barely see anything like sparks from the topload. What could I be doing wrong?
could you add in another fly back transformer and multiply the voltage again, to 1/2 million volts?, or would that just destroy the fly back transformer?
You can, if you use stronger transistor or less input voltage. Pretty much the only limit here is the transistor. You don't need very high powers for electric fence anyway.

The windings are wrong. the end of the first set of ten turns should be soldered to the end of the second set or ten turns. This goes to the plus side of the power. Either of the remaining two wires goes to the base through the 47 ohm resistor. The other goes to the emitter. It would also help to add a 1n4007 from the base to the emitter and another 1n4007 from the collector to the emitter. Dick Bromberg I always do opposite windings, not parallel ones. The end of one connects tot he beginning of another, just like a center tapped transformer. The "tap" goes to power, one is for feedback and the other is the power winding. The way you mentioned is the "official" way of doing it though, where the power on spike switches the transistor on very hard, then it saturates and switches off from the back emf. The version this guy did, which is also the way that I do it, the initial power on spike after the transistor turns on, turns off the transistor, and the back emf of the collapsing field switches it on harder, which immediately switches it off again, this continues until it builds up resonance. This circuit generally is able to run with even greater variables and less construction accuracy, but has less peak to peak power output, a higher output voltage and a higher switching frequency.
Getting close to a hairpin circuit which is a logical step. Maintaining a constant or even an increasing power modulation and the addition of a CE circuit with dual earth grounding and you would have perpetual power and a self sustaining device. Resonating cold electric is the solution and the safety issues and heating issues are no longer problematic.

I think you should be able to prevent/reduce the transistor from over heating by adding a peltier unit, capacitor, and computer cooling fan.
Thanks for the video. Can you write the name of the used parts and the circuit schematic if possible, thanks
How do you connect the wire that goes around the heating and attached to the transistor and what does it do?
Heatsink*
Adam Adreveno it is connected as in the diagram provided, the body of the transistor is the collector.
OK
Where did you purchase the heatsinks for the 2N3055 transistors & the transistor connectors?
are the two pins on the 2n3055 transistor interchangeable nad can you solder the wire onto the collector part of the 2N3055?
**will it mess up the transistor if you put the wires on the wrong pins and mix it up
Adam Adreveno of course, you cannot interchage the pins

In the diagram, shouldn't there be four wires leading from the (external) coils of the flyback, instead of three? Am I interpreting it wrong?
wires are connected. The middle wire (+) is common to both coils.
What Guage wire did you wrap around the flyback and use to connect everyh

Adam Adreveno 16 AWG, it is not critical

Make multivibrator and connect transistor to multivibrator output. Change frequency of multivibrator until circuit works. You can try MOSFET if bipolar transistor do not work.
voy a adivinar... en verdad no hablas ingles jajajaj
Isn't that a flyback driver??
Anything that drives a flyback is a flyback driver
Kamu.!
He he, the output is indicated as + and - which shows that u dont have basic knowledge of high voltage ,
Simply u copy the circuit from somewhere
Ashu Sharma your a dick
@@jackkaczynski863 ur so late baby😁😂
that is not real i tried in my electri sumulator its so verylow voltage its like an 345 uv
scam
It is fun
not a scam, i find that if you keep it around 5 volts ie usb power ,you don't need to even use that same transistor. In fact i'm pretty sure i've used mosfets and got an even better result.
AC or DC output?
+King of command blocks DC
+Ludic Science can be transformed in AC ?
+fredy mredy No, what you will do with it?
+Ich mag Kekse i was curious only :)
DC
