Very well preserved, but not well documented! So many mysteries around this release!! Who are the voice actors? Who are the Newsboys?! (Presumably not the contemporary Christian music band of the same name that has been around for decades) Who is Gomi?!
Also, I didn’t know how to pronounce Herb Trimpe. I always just pronounced it in my head as Trimp.
Anywho, I’m glad to see this release getting some attention! I think I’ve seen some fan art here and there (maybe Matt Frank did his version of Amphibion?), but I don’t see this release getting much coverage despite its resilience. If only some of the old Godzilla manga (like Godzilla 79) had this kind of rerelease schedule…
When my dad had a record player way back when I was younger, I used to listen to this one a LOT! Especially the King Kong audio story and sometimes the Star Wars audio track too.
You know, I hear that the next rerelease of this album will be beaming it directly into people's brains. We never have to fear this album being lost. It will survive the heat death of the universe via some format we can't even imagine. And I want to sneak those Gomi remixes into a club. Get the DJ to play it.

The “vs. Gomi” tracks give me “Jeff Wayne’s musical version of the War of the Worlds” vibes. It’d make sense if that’s what they were going for.
In my 32 years of being a Godzilla fan I'm surprised that I haven't herd of this despite it being so preserved lol. The stories sound entertaining, charming and I like how they used Goji's scarier 54 roars. Thanks for covering it MIB!

I cant tell you how many times i listened to this record on my little red record player. Before VCRs, this was the next best thing to catching a godzilla movie on Creature Features saturday afternoon.
And hearing 'Lake Micheegen' was so cool as Lake Michigan was our lake!

Probably the voice actors who played the aliens got no voice credit is because maybe they didn't want any! They reminded me of good old Johnathan Winters making a funny sketch. I suppose it could have been worse; they could have sounded like Marven the Martian.

Godzilla vs the Alien Invasion. They couldn't come up with a less generic, title. I mean most of Godzilla movies are "Vs. an Alien Invasion" when it comes down to it.
You have point. Invasion of Astro Monster, Destroy All Monsters, Godzilla Vs. Gigan, Godzilla Vs. MechaGodzilla/Terror of MechaGodzilla, Godzilla Vs. King Ghidorah, Godzilla Final Wars etc have aliens who use monsters from outer space like Ghidorah or Gigan and even create their own monsters like MechaGodzilla to conquer or destroy the Earth.

I just got the must perfect timed ad, right at the "Godzilla, is still alive, duh duh duh" part, with the fake commercial brake part perfect. also if you google "Godzilla vs amphibian" you'll see that GODZILLA is the one who released it, of course.

Man I had the cassette version of these and listened to them all the time. Still got the original, but it's ruined. I eventually got a replacement. Loved these, especially growing up next to lake Michigan.
I also learned that one of the first Godzilla media to public is audio story for Radio
Which released juuust before movie release in 1954 (but it may be it's lost media)
I just learned today that the famous UA-camr, Godzilla guy first appears in a MIB episode mail bag question with mothra
The movie was made first and the radio drama version was put out to hype people up for the movie's release.
I heavily agree that there's an untapped market for new giant monster audio drama. I got really into immersive horror podcasts like The White Vault a while back and all I could think since then is how well the genre would lend itself to a kaiju story.
These Incridible Old Goezilla and New Comic are way incredible and their story might end, but they ll never age and never end/dies

While that statement is true and extreme bearucratical oversight by NASA it's not as bad as it sounds. The "lost" Apollo 11 tapes were the masters that contained telemetry data, which isn't very useful once the mission was complete, and the original video signal which had to be converted before it was even viewable. Many copies of the conversions exist and in recent years better sources of the video feed have been found that are probably pretty close to the masters.

As a millennial, I know what a cassette tape is and I do know what a vinyl disc was before their rebirth! Still, great seeing this kind of Godzilla media.
I got those classic Godzilla novels in digital form, and plan on doing audiobook reading videos down the line with other novelizations that didn't get official audiobooks.

Numerous monsters were conceptualized for Godzilla: The Series, but did not end up appearing in an episode. Most of them were named after monsters from Toho's Godzilla films, such as Anguirus, Biollante, Gabara, and the organic and robotic versions of Moguera. And there was the Concept art of Flying Gigan, Gus the Spider, Manda the Worm, and Megalon from Godzilla: The Series
