Thanks so much for putting the list together! I've been having trouble figuring out which direction is best for me during my career change and this provides some potential roadmaps for entry. Much appreciated.
So I hear the cyber security industry is huge. I was in construction for 30 years but have to change careers due to physical issues. I have been thinking about computers for a while as it has a potential for working from home. I know NOTHING about software. Is this a bad idea? Would a quick associates degree help at all? I love building computers but always needed help on the software side. Any advice on starting from scratch in a new field?
I've been working in the medical field for 27yrs and really need to get out and change my career. Did you ever decide on some thing to go for? Did you start your journey for a new career?
So as someone with ZERO Exp. Would you recommend coursea? Yeah seen somewhere stating that it’s a good course for beginners. Did you make a video listing all the courses that are beginner friendly?
How do you get the build your own bootcamp? I went to your website and signed up, it just wanted my email. There is nothing on your site for the bootcamp.
I started taking the google classes but got picked up as a park ranger so I stopped, your videos have helped to remind me what I want for my future. Thank you!
Do you have a link for the Blackhills Antisyphon training you mentioned for the SOC analyst? I'm interviewing for a junior threat intelligence analyst and think this training might help. I'm taking the CCNA Cyberops Associate cert soon since I got the training free through a grant.
Probably better off doing TryHackMe. Its free and has a lot of hands/visuals/explanations on with current SIEM tools like Splunk, where you learn to pull queries based off attack vectors.
Great list! I’ll give some pushback though and say that Data Entry would probably be the entry level position instead of Data Analyst, but beside that the list is neat.
I just moved to okinawa and looking for something like this, although im trying to figure things out i appreciate your channel and this is opening more options for me.
What military orientationed IT related jobs go hand in and with a very high level of fitness? Would love to hear your thoughts as I'm going to join the reservist in my local area. Many thanks 👍
Thanks for the information I’m looking into 3 different things data analytics cyber security or software testing. Do you have to know a lot of coding for cyber security or data analytics ?
Data analytics is not an entry position and requires knowledge of Python and data visualization tools. SQL is also a must so you can run queries when sorting data
Is the cute little kitty cat in the background learning anything from all this? LOL! I''m moving my business in the cyber security direction and am having difficulties finding people in my area qualified for what I'm looking for. Also a small town where no one really does anything unless something happens. Kinda the "it will never happen to me" type thinking when it comes to finding the work in security. I'm still moving forward with it as the demand has risen so much and not so many want to take any of the training outside the CompTIA stuff. Your video gives a nice break down of many of these entry level positions (Much of which are in the more advanced courses) making it easy for people looking to get in the field easy to understand. I was quite surprised to see the wages for some of these positions and really at the end of the day these positions you mention are far more practical, in my opinion than some, such as the CEH which I personally don't lend much weight to. Thank you for sharing such a great video. Unless you say otherwise I would love to post a link to this video on my website.
To get started in cybersecurity as fast as possible check out my video ua-cam.com/video/JK4796E4Bo4/v-deo.html
It's like YOU made this video for me. I have no desire to do coding and have avoided IT because of it.
totally understand! lol

Did you ever start something in Coursea? I have zero exp too and wondering where to begin.

Do you have the LInk for the Google IT Certification

Thanks Nicole! Lub you! I like reptiles too! 🦎
Does WGU do a good job in preparing you for the comptia test or do you recommend using other sources in addition to WGU?

Thanks for the feedback Desmond!
For career shifter, do you recommend a 4 year bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or a Master's degree?
Bachelor or Associate is enough
@Nicole Thanks for your video. Please is SOC analyst a good way to start for a fresher who is just breaking into the filed

Omg I am just so happy I found you!!!!!! Thank you for all the work you do!!!
On Point,
Thanks , your videos are great.
I've been working in the RPA space but want to move into CyberSecurity through WGU .. any recommendations for which program to go to?
I went through the Masters in Cybersecurity. Great Program
I found this video when I woke up and still felt sleepy but this video completely made me jump up.
Thanks a lot
You're welcome 😊
Thanks for this great video. Can all of these jobs be done remotely in most cases, or do some require in-person work?
Yeah, most of them. Highly dependent on company though

Yeah go ahead! Thanks for the nice comment
@@nicoleenesse Thank you!
Is there a class or cert that I can take before my first IT support position?
Yes , learn.nicoleenesse.com/GoogleITSupport
Lots of great options to choose from 😁
Great video! Thanks. :-)
Glad you liked it!
as always fantastic advice
Do you need a degree for these?
Most of them... no. that being said a degree can't hurt
@@nicoleenesse if you don’t mind me asking, Which ones don’t you need a degree for out of the 10, I appreciate your help!
@@leandroacevedo4144 It will depend on the company that is hiring. Some companies prefer a degree others don't care as long as you got the knowledge.
💯💯
Aye Vineet!
