Coach 🫡🦾💯. Imma Bama Fan and have tons of respect for Coach Saban but people don't realize that Coach Carroll's resume stretches back to before most of the chat and your former players were born 🤷🏾♂️🤣💯. And he won on both levels College and Professional. How TF do you have Belichick,Saban, and a few other future NFL head coaches on the same Cleveland Browns staff and barely made the playoffs? I'll wait 🤷🏾♂️🤣💯
People forget how ESPN and what role they played by buying the SEC network and going after USC. Also because of what ESPN was doing the NCAA decided to go after USC it is not a coincidence that they have never gone after Alabama for any s e c blue blood so yes so coach is correct

Coach, all due respect but yal didn’t even mention Saban won the natty in 03’ with LSU? Then he won the natty in 09’ in Pete Carrol’s last year after he wrecked the program with scandal and controversy then bolted to the NFL. USC’s never fully recovered from that. Carrol’s great but he was on a downward spiral on his way out of SC. Harbaugh and Stanford was at Carrol’s neck too. Love Pete but nothing was stopping that Bama run coach. One of the greatest dynasty’s in all of sports. Carrol could never.

Saban did win a title while Carrol was with USC, to be fair. But that said, I do think it’s safe to assume that Saban would not have as many titles total had Carrol stayed in college all this time. So JB’s overall argument has truth to it.
Remember he did not win at Michigan State Michigan ran him out.

He went 6-5 in ‘his first yr in ‘95,
went 10-2 in ‘99….LSU in ‘00…

In his best year with MSU, they went to the Citrus Bowl and that was it. But yes. I get what you’re saying. Saban didn’t technically fail anywhere he coached other than the Dolphins.
You might have an argument if Pete had enough Brains to give “Beast Mode” the ball, but on paper, it’s Nick Saban and the 7 National Championships for the win.

Saban turned a 4 win team into a 7 win team in 2007 in his 1st year.
He took that team to 12-0 in his 2nd year. Lost to the natty champs Florida in the sec title game

Jb is biased towards guys with Southern Cali roots. It is what it is
42 assistant coaches have gone on to become head coaches in the college or professional ranks under Saban to include 2 former players. Carroll has only had 16 assistants who became head coaches.
Saban is 15th all-time in career wins at college with 292, as the leader is John Gagliardi with 489 wins. Pete Carroll, meanwhile, went 170-120-1 in the NFL and, in college, went 97-19 for a total record of 267-139-1 between the NFL and college. Saban has recorded 40 more wins than Carroll and 51 fewer losses. Fyi... The dolphins were 4-12 the year before he got there, then he went 9-7 and 6-10, then the dolphins went 1-15 after he left.
People either forget or are unaware of Pete Carroll's extensive NFL resume which dates back to the early 80s.
Pete got run out of the NFL. That’s how he ended up at USC!

@@letsbereal7897USC smashed them the next year. LSU and Oklahoma both lost by double digits at home meanwhile USC lost in triple overtime to a cal team that had Aaron Rodger’s and Marshawn lynch. SC finished the year ranked over LSU and would’ve smashed them and Oklahoma. They got left out and it’s one of the biggest injustices in NCAAF. It’s much harder to win in ncaa and nfl. Saban could never. Had there been a playoff during the Carrol era he would’ve won more. Especially 07’ and 08’. Saban wouldn’t have dominated had Pete stayed. He still would’ve won without a doubt but he wouldn’t have 7
@@letsbereal7897 Oklahomas quarterback was injured and didn't play. Oklahoma got blown out in their conference championship game and somehow remained number 1 when we all know USC should've been playing in that game. 2003 USC was the AP national champs. Also, 2008 USC got snubbed.

@@Topguy209 There is no such thing as SEC biased the SEC is the best conference and has been for the better part of 20 years and that’s not debatable.
Saban split the title the year they won, with USC. Had the BCS actually not screwed USC over, there’s a great chance USC beats LSU in that title game.
In the interest of fairness, I do think Saban does win a few championships, but here’s what people forget, Pete Carroll could recruit nationally. Could be wrong here but Nick Saban didn’t recruit much out of his region. Now you can say why would he need to with all that talent, not wrong. But California has talent for sure and Pete Carroll rarely struck out with top talent here but he went into SEC, Big 10, Big 12 country and pulled their top players. Hell had Adrian Peterson’s dad not been in prison, he would’ve committed to USC, where Bush and White starred. There’s a reason why the top dogs in the SEC at the time never scheduled USC. Once they saw Auburn get pounced at home when they were ranked #6, they wanted no business playing USC.

He won the BCS championship in 2003, USC can talk that AP champions stuff all they want, but:
- they played no championship game & then beat an average Michigan team in their own backyard in the Rose Bowl.
2003 LSU
- played an SEC schedule, beat Georgia in Atlanta in a conference championship game..
Beat Georgia twice that season, defending SEC champs.l..
- Then beat an Oklahoma team in an actual championship game..A team that was setting records all year long, ranked number 1 the majority of it.
Don’t rewrite history, because of your California bias, Coach..

What happened the very next year. 55-19 over Oklahoma. Coach JB is right. Saban wouldn’t have won that many rings had Pete stayed. It’s much harder to win both Super Bowls and NCAAF. NFL resume can't be compared. First and foremost, Carrol walked into a great situation with Seattle. Saban didn't. Sabans college resume is obviously better than Pete's. I don't think Sabans success is a result of Pete not being in college. That's an assumption, and there's nothing to support that.
