Instead of a blower design - are you able to attach to fans directly to the top of the heatsink blowing air down into the heatsink? This would mimic non-blower designs. Additionally - you probably should repaste the GPU if you haven’t already. I’m sure whatever stock paste would be dry and crusty by now, especially if seeing 90 degrees regularly. Great content and thanks for the video!
Been wondering how a fan placed exactly like that to replace a blower would perform, and now I have the answer. You'd need a fan with a significant static pressure to achieve any results this way it seems. Or like someone else said, attaching a fan at the exhaust could be interesting too. Thanks for the video!
For cheap solutions, you can try grinding off the top of the fins and attaching the fans open air style to the heat sink. Or try using an aftermarket GPU cooler like an Arctic Accelero

yes i did repaste the thermal paste, and thank you for your suggestion!

Did you fix it? How are you doing? I am curious.
Have you tried it with two fans? :) One on the left (out) , other on the right (in)
This would be quite interesting
Buy broken gpu, transfer heatsink and change thermal paste 💙
