No, it would be heartless if it was his child. This woman fucked his brother, abandoned their future marriage and abandoned a man who was very clearly fond of her before her infidelity came to light considering they'd been together for over a decade by the sound of it. She broke this guy's heart and is angry she doesn't have a rebound she can foist all her responsibility onto. She violated his trust and his brother was a home-wrecker, they were made for each other and they should stay together even if he's eating through a tube in his throat in a coma.
Your mom was not there to apologize. That's gaslighting 101. You're still mad at me because we're bad people. I was going to apologize, but now you're the bad guy.
100%. Genuine apologies are not conditional, and her reasoning for not apologizing wouldn't have even made sense. "We wronged you and I was going to apologize, until you said that you were mad at us for wronging you, so now I'm not going to apologize." It makes no sense, if you thought you owed someone an apology, you wouldn't be offended at them being upset at you. She was never going to apologize, she only said that to position him as a bitter person. She wants the moral high ground of offering an apology without actually apologizing at all.
I'm a petty bitch so I would have gotten receipts of the parent's request and then forwarded them to the brother once he's out of the coma. Let him know they were that quick in replacing him
@@medusawitchful Except OP is not obliged to take responsibility for that child after what OP's ex, brother and whole family did to him. It's shameless for them to demand and guilt him into doing their bidding after them betraying him. Where was this family obligation when his brother cheated him.
Exactly! Like wth were they thinking was going to happen if the bro woke from his coma to find out his crazy parents gave him for dead and gone not even 3 days into a coma and asked his estranged brother to basically replace him as father to his kid and husband to his wife. Ridiculous and disgusting!
OP's parents shouldn't be mad at him for not being there for them when they need OP, since they themselves weren't there for OP when he needed THEM. What OP did to his parents was no different from what they did to him. Actually, what OP's parents did was WORSE because they could've done something about the situation, whereas Chris's accident was beyond OP's control. At least Karen's parents seem like good people. Idk why OP never tried to contact THEM. Karen's parents cut contact with her shortly after she cheated. Coincidence? I don't think so.
Honestly, I probably would have laughed on the phone when dad started yelling. Wakes up groggy and hears dad yelling. "Pffft hahahahaha" "Why are you laughing damnit?!" "Because you couldn't be any more transparent. well dad, I'm dead to you, you're dead to me. Why are you talking to a dead and asking them to step up for your still living son?"
You know what's so funny did they ever tell him when you were in a coma we basically just wanted to forget about you and have your brother marry his ex and take your child
Bruh, what if after his brother woke up, he called his brother to tell him their mum asked him to move in with his ex and be a replacement father for his nephew? Like damn, not even three days and mum is trying to replaced one brother with another again. The mum seemingly doesn’t care about either brother, just that her grandson has a traditional nuclear family for photos.
OP's mother is INSANE. I don't blame him one bit for refusing to see any of them. Truly unhinged levels of INSANE. Honestly, how could he look at his ex and her kid without rage in his heart? They hurt him so much, and that poor kid is the embodiment of that damage. Not good for the kid, or OP. Ex can sink or swim on her own. And if the brother DID come out of his coma, how would he feel about his brother moving back in his home to take care of things? I can't imagine he'd be happy about his loser brother moving in on his ex and their kid? Not that I think OP IS the loser, but I have to think brother would think that.
The mom cheated. You'll never convince me otherwise. If my family did that to me I would've moved either across the country or around the world. They would never be able to find me. Who needs enemies when you have a family like OP has.
I'd like to say I don't have cockroach blood in me. The father shied away from protecting his son who was right and left the wife to take control of everything. Then, five years later, she's terrorizing one son again, and the father is giving his blessing to the absurdity. The screaming at 5 shows how cowardly he is. I had my immediate family giving me shit for free, so I don't speak to my father and cut off my two brothers. Everyone else, including my mother, speaks to me normally.
The family is very unhinged what the heck, family this family that, effed off. They definitely had a favorite, and OP since the beginning is probably a scapegoat it's disgusting really.
Now that their son is "broken", they want to replace him with the backup son. What a bizarre thing to try and impose on everyone - OP, his brother and Karen. Til' death do us part, eh?
Oh hell naw! She fucking cheated on you, broke your heart, and tried to make you watch while she lived a happy life with your brother who, in his own right, broke trust with you by getting with your then-current SO! I say bury the family history in a deep, permanent grave.
Who is worse in this situation? The woman who loved him for years and wanted to settle down with him only to cheat on him with his OWN BLOOD? Or your own flesh and blood brother that knowingly went behind your back to betray you in the worst way possible? As an only child I would’ve gave anything to grow up knowing sibling love. Boils my blood to see that kind of bond perverted.
@Amoogus the brother 100% is worse than the ex, but the mother is the worst person in this situation, family is supposed to be the people who have your back before anyone else, not play favorites and betray you. OP's family isn't real family because not all family is blood related.
After what happened and no one even caring about to give you the thought to even talk to you. They aren’t family anymore and they only came back when they needed you. NTA and definitely do not talk to them again
Op is a better person then me I probably would have laughed on that phone call. A betrayal like that means you’re no longer my family along with anyone how won’t take a hardline stance, you get me or then not both.
I'd have not even gotten out of the car. I'd have immediately called the police. And as for the father calling, I'd have told him to go do something unnatural and uncomfortable with himself. And blocked him.
My lil bro is a genius, in shape and makes me proud every day i talk to him. But hes a bit shy with girls. Im not. I could never im a million years fathom even kinda hitting on any girl he would ever meet. If she was amazing in every way, that just means lil bro gets more high fives. Ill never get some siblings.
if the mother wanted to apologise she would've done it as soon as the small talk was over and explained why she was there. girlie was absolutely lying.
I’m getting “Do it for Dan” vibes from this. It’s good that Ops brother and his ex wife apologized for everything but the parents are the main issue, especially Ops mother. I’d say the best revenge is a life well lived, without the toxic people in your life.
The ex and sibling aren't truly sorry. They were presented with the finality of life and were seeking forgiveness for their own sake. If they were truly sorry they would have asked for forgiveness any time in between the cheating and coma. The worst thing OP did was forgive them.
@@motivatedman4630 Because the only ones who benefit from the forgiveness are the cheaters. He doesn't have to forgive them and just going back to ignoring them.
@@asherdalesOP didn't say he forgabe them, he said he didn't care anymore. Trapping yourself with these thoughts won't bring you anything, the cheaters are living happily, and no one basically care about your burnout, you're only hurting yourself. Letting go is the best action of self love, when you release yourself from the pain amd anger of what happened you will be able to move on and live your life happily, just like OP did. He said he's happy and didn't care anymore. But he never forget and cut off these people completely. Not letting them get a hold on your thoughts and your life is the best winning for you.
This is messed up maybe if his brother didn’t try to get her pregnant he wouldn’t be in his karma state and op wouldn’t be dragged in but life happens but it’s good it happened b4 the whole wedding
@@ghost656metal8 like I said, butterfly effect. If he didn't marry his brother's girlfriend, he wouldn't get into this situation in the first place. He might not even have car at the time.
For real, despite how awful this whole story is thank God the brother and ex were stupid enough to have a lot of sex without ever using protection. It would have been so much more hurtful and difficult for OP to learn for example 10 years into the marriage that she and his brother had been cheating on him for years. On top of that, I bet that any children born AFTER the wedding would have been considered OP's even if they had been the brother's...
OP absolutely has no reason to step for those a holes. He didn’t create the mess they did. Blood or not they severely wronged you and that cheater doesn’t deserve your help.
That would be a big fat nope. Karma got'em good so they have to deal with it themselves. You have no responsibility toward you brother, your ex or the affair kid. They abandoned you and if this hadn't happened, they would still be no contact with you.
So let me guess this straight Op lost his ex finance to his golden child brother and his family abandoned him for his brother then 5 years later he is in a coma and op’s mom wants him to step up to help his ex finance with her child and hi e is the bad guy?
Personally, i wouldnt do it even if i’m ok with reconciling with the ex fiance. If this happened to me, i dont trust myself to no longer hold any anger against my brother, and i dont trust myself not to take it out on the kid.
"Hey man, you know your ex-fiance that cheated on you, had a child with your brother? We want you to take care of them and be the dad now that your brother is no longer capable..." Yeah, tough luck. Tell the ex to go get a job. He's not your son, so it's not your problem.
Listening to many stories from reddit, i feel like karma really just may exist. These people doing horrible things get some 10x action back every time eventually. Keep being good people whoever reads this comment!
If I was OP in this scenario and my mother demanded that I act like a father to my cheating ex’s affair baby, I would’ve told her to eat 💩 and never contact me again.
His reaction to his parents is way more calm than I think I could ever be in that situation, Like not even just telling them to piss off and stop talking to him is something I respect.
Imagine yelling at your son for being ungrateful for not helping his former fiancée raise the child that she had after CHEATING ON HIM WITH HIS OWN BROTHER 💀
The story is so weird. If his ex had cheated on him, gotten pregnant and left him before their wedding for a stranger would his family expect him to step up and help her raise her affair baby if her baby daddy got into a coma. This is not a reasonable expectation to get back together with your ex who cheated on you just because she is going through a hard time. It has nothing to do with him.
A fair number of stories had secret cheater moms who would've advocated just that, empathizing how much more hurt backstabbers are by rejection (or if any mild consequences made any aspect of their life temporarily harder). And how OPs are the 'real monsters' for choosing anything but doormatting harder and expensively gifting them anything, and anywhen they want for 'emotional trauma' for the rest of their existence. But obviously OP can't be mad for longer that 1 second, because 'it was so long ago'. Its a very dangerous pit of disingenuous advice if the perpetrator is the Golden Child or see themselves in the cheater, instead of feeling sorry for the actual innocent victim
It all seems to be the work of the parents (after the cheating, I mean.) The ex isn't reaching out when the brother is comatose. Does she even know what the parents are trying to do? Would she agree to it? Does the brother know what they expected of OP? Has anyone told him that they wanted his wife's ex to replace him in his own son's life? Sure he's not a great person, cheating and all, but uh. Somebody should tell him how sketchy his parents are, and how far they went to replace him when things looked bad. Dear old mom and dad might learn that their favored son doesn't appreciate that "help" so much.
At the point when his father called him and started screaming at him I honestly would have said; "Go ahead, if my family would abandon me so easily you are not worth it. Besides you dont like me, i dont need you, stop talking to me for all i care."
He should have told his brother before he left that they had given up on you while you're in a coma and wanted me to take your place... that should help get them to move on... wonder if Karen knew about what the parents wanted him to do?
The sheer audacity of OPs family after everything they put him through is beyond mind boggling. OP needs to change his last names, tell his former family to F--- off and move away, far away.
Dad went with Mom's decision and Op contemplating on helping the people who hurt him because he couldn't stand the pressure of gaslighting. Yup Dads doormat genes got passed on alright.
Don't step backwards and bend your knee to a family that isn't yours. You have no obligations of any sort to your brother or your family. The most important person in your life is you, Not anyone else. Create your own path without them.
And that's why you should never leave without a fight If he fought well in the first place and retaliated, his family wouldn't have dared to get close to him
There's one issue that should prevent the OP from helping his Brother's Family (including moving in with them): If he provides any support to his brother's family he could be legally obligated to continue supporting them because it is considered in the best interest of the children. I've heard about men who have been legally obligated to support children that are not theirs because they provided help to a single mother.
@@Lilstinker1129 The problem I see is this: If he allowed his nephew to move into his home the OP could be compelled to continue to provide child support because that would be in the best interest of the child. That, in turn, could allow Karen to claim that she can't be separated from her child and thus she could be able to force her way his house, again because it would be considered to be in the best interest of the child. From I can see, his only safe move is to avoid getting involved.
The fact that the op was even debating whether to do it or not is absurd. I mean, come on! What is there to be iffy about?? There should have been no arguing, no wondering what to do. Just an immediate and resounding NO. Period. Finé. Done.
If the mere request alone is enough to start putting him back in a dark place, the answer is absolutely not. The parents' age is tantamount compared to his spiritual and mental health. As someone who cut ties with my own family it's not an easy decision and I occasionally wonder if I have any regrets I can find a lot of solace that my mental health has never been better so it's hard for me to even entertain talking to my family ever again.
Because they are anxious as it's more or less supposed to be the start of the ending chapter of your life. The person you are gonna be with for the rest of your life and that can be a tough decision (mostly like what if it truly isn't what you want kinda thing)
Bro said he feels bad after his girl cheated on him with his brother had a kid, the family was fine with it and after bro went into a coma, they expect him to help them
What I wanna know is if Karen and the brother knew OP's mom was trying to make him take his brother's place. Like, Karen wasn't one of the people harassing OP was far as it was stated, so it seems more likely that it was all the parents' plan. I'd half bet that the brother and Karen would have been pretty pissed at the parents for basically trying to pimp out Karen to a man they knew who could pay her bills.
Yup, I often think about soon to exist future (grand)children from these OPs. Do those parents not want to be in the life of those? Do they not care about never again having a friendly/close moment with the child they are betraying?

She violated his trust and his brother was a home-wrecker, they were made for each other and they should stay together even if he's eating through a tube in his throat in a coma.
Your mom was not there to apologize. That's gaslighting 101. You're still mad at me because we're bad people. I was going to apologize, but now you're the bad guy.
Are you his mother
@PikUzarD It's just basic psychology..
@@julokreen2074 thanks
Oh this
I'm a petty bitch so I would have gotten receipts of the parent's request and then forwarded them to the brother once he's out of the coma. Let him know they were that quick in replacing him
I would’ve blocked them & sued if they continued to try and contact for harassment
Exactly
or I could make that child really love me so much so the child won't need bio dad and mom anymore.
You what they say: "if you aint the father dont even bother"
"Pffft hahahahaha"
"Why are you laughing damnit?!"
"Because you couldn't be any more transparent. well dad, I'm dead to you, you're dead to me. Why are you talking to a dead and asking them to step up for your still living son?"
You know what's so funny did they ever tell him when you were in a coma we basically just wanted to forget about you and have your brother marry his ex and take your child
Seems like they didn’t really even want him to marry hey. It sounds like he was just supposed to be the piggy bank.
Send parents and karen a Cease & Desist order under threat of lawsuit for defamation and harassment.
When OP's father said "you had an history with her" I would have reply, Yes! An history of cheating and betrayal !
@@Amoogusit’s a really close call, but I’d say the ex.
Absolutely freaking not! Not your kid not your problem….PERIOD!
Op is a better person then me I probably would have laughed on that phone call. A betrayal like that means you’re no longer my family along with anyone how won’t take a hardline stance, you get me or then not both.
I don't think I'm sane anymore cuz when I heard what happened to the brother I Instantly went "Womp womp".....
i laughed at it, shits too comical. the audacity of these people. too damn funny.
Anyone want to bet that if the brother fully recovered, OP will be forgotten again?
Edit: i just finished the video. Oh wow color me surprised 🙄
Probably
Your biggest mistake was calling your mom and dad in the 1st place. You should have stayed NC all the way!
@@asherdales OP didn't care, why hold on to it?
@@motivatedman4630 Because the only ones who benefit from the forgiveness are the cheaters. He doesn't have to forgive them and just going back to ignoring them.
@@asherdalesOP didn't say he forgabe them, he said he didn't care anymore. Forgiveness is an act of self love, trapping yourself for years in sadness, anger, and negative energy is extremely exhausting for your life and yourself.
Exes apology is useless, tell me if rag gets dirty are you Going to use that rag to clean up a mess or are you Going to use a new one?
This is messed up maybe if his brother didn’t try to get her pregnant he wouldn’t be in his karma state and op wouldn’t be dragged in but life happens but it’s good it happened b4 the whole wedding
@@ghost656metal8 probably not. Butterfly effect, you know.
The parents should consider becoming comedians. Their combined stupidity made me laugh nonstop
The fact OP needed to reach out for advice on this is troubling. No way this guy is an actual adult.
You owe them absolutely nothing and for them to treat you that way is more than unreasonable stay strong and make the best of what life you have left
OP absolutely has no reason to step for those a holes. He didn’t create the mess they did. Blood or not they severely wronged you and that cheater doesn’t deserve your help.
Op's girlfriend is very lucky to have someone as kind and as caring as OP
That would be a big fat nope. Karma got'em good so they have to deal with it themselves. You have no responsibility toward you brother, your ex or the affair kid. They abandoned you and if this hadn't happened, they would still be no contact with you.
There's no such thing as karma, the brother would've been in that car accident even if he didn't sleep with OP Fiancée
So let me guess this straight
Op lost his ex finance to his golden child brother and his family abandoned him for his brother then 5 years later he is in a coma and op’s mom wants him to step up to help his ex finance with her child and hi e is the bad guy?
Sucks to suck for the brother. I wouldn’t care either, destroy my life then expect me to come to your aid? Wild.
I imagine the brother would've been furious to find that OP was caring for the kiddo.
Damn my anger issues would never let me be this calm 😂
God OP is such a saint. If I was in his shoes, I'd be in jail.
This is the type of family that you need to leave at 18 and never ever contact them ever again
Why is the OP still in contact with any of them? He should have changed his number or blocked them.
Listening to many stories from reddit, i feel like karma really just may exist. These people doing horrible things get some 10x action back every time eventually. Keep being good people whoever reads this comment!
Op should’ve hooked up with his ex as payback and to see how his parents react.
Not your pigs, not your farm.
Not your circus, not monkeys.
Not your horses, not your horses.
Not your fault, not your problem
If I was OP in this scenario and my mother demanded that I act like a father to my cheating ex’s affair baby, I would’ve told her to eat 💩 and never contact me again.
the do it for dan energy is strong in this one
I always come back -William Afton

Nice pfp
@@BROlMSPlDERMAN thanks
I would have said exactly what they said OP said, it was karma too bad the parents didn't get the same treatment.
His reaction to his parents is way more calm than I think I could ever be in that situation,
Like not even just telling them to piss off and stop talking to him is something I respect.
Imagine yelling at your son for being ungrateful for not helping his former fiancée raise the child that she had after CHEATING ON HIM WITH HIS OWN BROTHER 💀
Plot twist: younger brother did hit and run 🤣
Your Mom and Dad CAN STEP UP and take care of that precious grandchild!!
Should get a restraining order on the parents
Tell them to get lost. They're not worthy of your time or effort. Stay strong mate.
It all seems to be the work of the parents (after the cheating, I mean.)
The ex isn't reaching out when the brother is comatose.
This is karma for cheating. Why should they call u to "step up" after all of this?
After cheating on him, his brother lost the right to call himself even a brother..
Log this one under "Do it for Dan Stories"
"My mom delivered some really bad news while crying" I would've laughed my ass of on the phone like I did now😂😂
Dad went with Mom's decision and Op contemplating on helping the people who hurt him because he couldn't stand the pressure of gaslighting. Yup Dads doormat genes got passed on alright.
Hell to the NO! She made her bed, now she can lie in it. Walk away!
Not your kid not your problem. Just live your life like you have been and don't give two shit about them
I woulda started laughing maniacally on the phone the moment i learned of it . Shit like WOMP TO THE FUCKING WOMP and TOO BAD SO SAD😂😂
I was laughing after the cheating part, shits too comical. They ain't deserve shit.
This is disgusting its giving.. "DO IT FOR DAN!" Like hl no
Don't step backwards and bend your knee to a family that isn't yours. You have no obligations of any sort to your brother or your family. The most important person in your life is you, Not anyone else. Create your own path without them.
Betrayed by Brother, Fiancée, Mother, and Father? Tell they to go to Hell and Go No Contact!
And that's why you should never leave without a fight
If he fought well in the first place and retaliated, his family wouldn't have dared to get close to him
Hold up the brother is 38 and Karen is 30, they have been together since junior year of high school, so she was 16 and homeboy was 24 😂
His brother is 33
That doesn't make it any better lmfao still weird as fuck
You blind bro? he is 30m
I’d say I’d let the kid move into my house but Karen is not welcome what so ever.
Period. Finé. Done.
No wonder his parents and brother are that pushy. He's a complete pushover.
I always wondered why people do these things right before an wedding
Because they are anxious as it's more or less supposed to be the start of the ending chapter of your life. The person you are gonna be with for the rest of your life and that can be a tough decision (mostly like what if it truly isn't what you want kinda thing)
This is one of the best stories from this guy. The part where 3 yrs later and all that changed is amazing
When she said rlly bad case i said : "Womp Wonp"
Bro said he feels bad after his girl cheated on him with his brother had a kid, the family was fine with it and after bro went into a coma, they expect him to help them
Low t if you ask me
What I wanna know is if Karen and the brother knew OP's mom was trying to make him take his brother's place. Like, Karen wasn't one of the people harassing OP was far as it was stated, so it seems more likely that it was all the parents' plan. I'd half bet that the brother and Karen would have been pretty pissed at the parents for basically trying to pimp out Karen to a man they knew who could pay her bills.
That guy's brother is facing some consequences for stealing his wife
What pathetic parents especially the father who says nothing what a simp as well
props to the guys capacity to forgive, thats something i don’t have, so much so if that were my son who cheated he’s out of my house.
Why is there the craze to have grandchildren? Like the mother burned bridges just to get a grandchild, Jesus Christ.
Yup, I often think about soon to exist future (grand)children from these OPs. Do those parents not want to be in the life of those? Do they not care about never again having a friendly/close moment with the child they are betraying?
This would be my villain origin story.
