Testing out the Makita DLM382 Cordless lawn mower on over grown grass.

- I have had this makita DML382 cordless mower for a year or so now. Only ever used it for on my lawns for a quick cut in the evening when the kids are in bed. As it is a lot quieter compared to the petrol mower.
So iv never used it for heavy work. But my petrol mower has packed in, so I have to use this one to cut the rough no man's land behind my house.
Never gave this mower much credit and was not expecting it to be capable of cutting this rough grass.
But surprisingly enough it did manage to cut it. Even the heavy overgrown grass, granted it did take 1 or 2 passes.
But with 2 4ha batteries this mower cut quite a lot and even the stuff it's not designed for.
I was quite impressed at how much this cut and how it cut it. It's quite impressive. I would imagine the new brushless mowers would be even more powerful and last longer again.
What I like most about cordless mowers is hoe light they are. You can easily fold them up and lift them overhead to store on a shelf I like this one. Or you can hang them of a hook on the wall.

This is exactly what i needed to see. Itll cut an orchard so I'm sure I'll be fine in my garden
I have the same mower, and it regularly meets similar conditions. One thing you should know about this mower: It arrives with completely dull blades, at least that was the case with mine. I then sharpened them well, which really unleashed its potential. Goes through 40 cm tall grass without bogging down too much. I also bent the wings of the blade up some more in order to generate more airflow. If you're just mulching, it doesn't really matter, but when you use the bag, you can see the difference. Good mower if you do some tuning in my opinion.
