Jim was great with his super intelligent quotes in interviews. He was always so erudite and very articulate. Sad to see all his talent and rock star persona being destroyed by drugs and alcohol. He had it all fame, fortune and adulation but he threw it all away. He is still one of my favorite rock musicians and the doors will always be one of my favorite bands next to the Stones and the kinks. He lived an extremely short life but also a full one indeed. R.I.P. Jim. You and Ray and the doors live on and rock on forever.
I think the same. Acid and weed are great when taken in moderation but alcohol my god it’s so pervasive. It’s a legal drug and has been for many many years, I am an ex alcoholic and the damage it can do to you and those around you is immense.

Well jim was slowly falling apart at that time because of his alchohol and heroin abuse which destroyed everything that he loved,he was very lucky to make it through the la woman album at the chance he could.
Jim wasn't a heroin addict. He did try it a couple times in Paris once he moved there in early 71, and it actually was the reason he died as he took some after he had been drinking l, which almost always has disastrous consequences. Jim was an alcoholic first and foremost, and that goes back to even before his time with the Doors.
A bohužel, v téhle éře kulturního úpadku ji nikdo nenahradí.
In this video I see a man who has suffered many injustices, he gives me melancholy but makes me love Jim more. Thanks, I had never seen it
Nah. Brought it all on himself. I’m a huge fan btw
He also was tranquilized out of his mind here lol he’s never been as innocent as you think
It was a lynching and they broke his spirit.
Lots of his injustices were self created but couldn’t help himself
You know he got it easy they knew his golden boy upbringing would go his way the admiral father he should of done the 6 month sentence like a man

Depends on the drugs. Acid and weed were beneficial but alcohol and herion killed a lot of people especially when Vietnam Vets came back.
