Congratulations! You deserve it. You make videos the way I like: clear, good looking (I'm talking about videos 😁 ), always relevant, with the spirit of collaboration, sharing and without excessive ego. I realize how much work it takes for you (I still remember your incredible efforts to improve videos during the pandemic). 🙏🏼 to the WA team.

You & I recently had a 'comments chat' about how long you have been doing this, again I have been following for 13+ years. You have always presented yourself with a professional & helpful manner, always willing to engage with your viewers. You're absolutely right though, there wasn't really much out there in the form of educational material via YT. Pensado's Place, Mr. Bill, Tom Kosm, SeamlessR, SadowickProduction (a few years later) as well as the music school Dubspot were some of the early content creators at the time. Your channel, I believe it was called DJ Vespers or Vespers before the rebrand was something very relatable to me. It was DAW specific & based on electronic bass music. I am from Ontario so I always thought it was cool that someone from 'out west' was making electronic music production content. I always appreciated the way you spoke clearly & explained things. You are definitely a great teacher and make a fantastic Ableton Certified Trainer, which gave you so much credibility. I am really happy to see you still doing your thing, mate and maintaining your integrity through the years. Big up on 110K, Drew! ~ Ryan.

Hey Ryan. Thanks for the journey through memory lane. Yes, you've been there since the beginning. There weren't many of us back then, but look at how things are today! There's so much quality video content coming out from so many people that it's never been so easy and inspiring to learn music production. I've been overjoyed to see how many creators there are on UA-cam now. I get a ton of value out of watching other people's videos too. You can learn anything on UA-cam and learning from other people who are passionate and just want to share is a great way to approach it.
I appreciate the support and kind words Ryan. Cheers mate. Hope you're still around when we hit 1M :)

Tremendous congrats on this milestone, Drew!
I share a similar sentiment regarding vanity metrics, and the continual re-setting of goal posts in lieu of feeding the ego with deceptively alluring round numbers. That being said, it's also equally important to occasionally reflect back and appreciate just how far one has come -- just as you have here.
One of my tunes had recently crossed over the 1M streams threshold on Spotify, after three-plus years of steady growth, and that was one such milestone of reflection and gratitude on my end. The fact that anyone anywhere at all has any interest in my creative spewings is ineffably incredible to me, let alone a sizeable contingent of regular monthly listeners... which, in turn, helps fuel that extra bit of inspo kick whenever those pesky existential crises or bouts of imposter syndrome inevitably arise, hah. Classic plight of the artist.
Anyway, massive congrats again, and looking forward to much more of your work! Cheers!

Thanks so much Alex. Huge congratulations on the 1M streams. That's certainly worth celebrating, because of what it means. I've been stoked to have you as part of the community and thanks for helping get us sorted with amazing monitors to test for the new studio. I wish you continued inspiration with your music.

Thanks! I use a Sony A7SIII with a Sigma DN Art 24mm f1.4 lens. That combo works out really really well in my studio. Sharp eye tracking focus and a nice bokeh effect for background. I’m glad you like it. Cheers!
