Straight Up with Sri is one of India's most stereotypically smashing breakthrough podcasts, which has an agenda of diversity and inclusion in every field. We've been having guests from the realm of politics, from the realm of film, from the realm of, you know, actors from the realm of, you know, the first woman AB Car Driver, the first transgender advocate of the Kolkata High Court, the first female priest in India who's smashing patriarchy by conducting weddings and funerals, customs reserved for men. And we are very, very excited to also use our platform as a medium to promote art and culture, which is different from the run-of-the-mill, stereotypical, very sexist content that we largely see in India.
This is helmed by Srimoy Piyukundu, who's a foremost best selling writer and a leading columnist on gender and sexuality. She's the winner of the NDTV L'Oreal Woman of Worth award and the United Nations Award for Best young author, as well as the Rotary International award for leadership of women. Shimoi is a leading figure in the sphere of women's empowerment and is the founder of India's biggest community for urban single women called Status Single, with a membership of over 6000 women spread over 8 Indian cities with chapters in UK, Dubai and Canada. And the podcast is a forum where we talk about a lot of taboo issues. We like to promote meaningful cinema, meaningful art, and meaningful music.
We've had singers, we've had dancers, young politicians, and the idea is to espouse the whole sort of ethos of equality.

I wonder why the interview is in English. The guests are associated with tollywood and I am sure no one other than Bengalis will be interested to listen to this interview. This unnecessary use of English sounds quite irritating.
