- I review Crosman DPMS SBR BB rifle the good and the bad. I wanted to point out that if you get a rifle that won't shoot that it is a simple fix. I hope you all enjoy the video.
speed loader works great, i cant see your bad opinion on the loader, its very well designed and works flawlessly

You might want to put a drop of pellgunoil on the tips of the Co2 tubes before putting them in the magazine. Keeps the seals lubricated. The magazine spring has a catch on the end, no need to hold with the finger. Enjoyed the video.

If I don’t put pelligunoil will that hurt my gun or is it optional completely
@@raskin5543 Meh, its somewhat highly debated. One thing is sure is that the rubber/silicone seals for the co2 do kinda dry out and take a temperature beating and can loose their shape, hence the preventative maintenance.
Ive been putting a film (less than a drop) of pellgun on all my co2 for the past 25 years and never had issues.
as for the bb gun itself - i really like the overall feel of it and how it handles (it's a good replica so its kinda heavy), my beef with it is the pop up sights - i have fairly bad eyes and for me using them is out of question on a sunny day (the reflections from the surface of them make them hard to use properly - but like i said i have fairly bad eyesight so that is a factor in that determination - but imho they feel weak to begin with - so i highly recoment using a red dot sight version of it (or use your own sights if you got them).
It is fairly acurate on short distances (aka 10m) above it tends to drop a bit fast so you have to adjust you aiming upwards a bit. So definately its not meant to be used on very long ranges - so stick with short/mid ones and it will be fun.
As for fire rate - i really think they should have added 3 bb bursts - otherwise the full auto will drain the mag in like 2-3 seconds which is kinda fun but it ends very quickly. 3bb burst would be a great thing to have - but that is my opinion about it.
The internal wrench socket on the mag is great as it makes loosing one that much less likely xD.
The very first thing you should get is either a secod mag - or the better one - the one with internal bb's storage and ability to reload in few seconds via a lever in it - becaue second mag will greatly enchance the fun - since having to reaload it after 25 bb's is gonna kinda break the immersion - but its still fun.
The trigger pull is the weak spot imho - for a newbie like me it seems to require quite significant force to pull and this can translate to a less acurate shot - so keep that trigger finer in shape - you will need it xD
The blowback function simulates recoil - to an extend but so you will have to both keep your aim and re-adjust after each shot.
You forgot to mention that it has 4 Ris rails to fit stuff - for eg im gonna fit a bipod to it as i prefer to shot from the prone possition and that would be a great asset to have but ofc with 4 rails... you can get creative with addons.
wow, I had a comment on here from 3 years back about the speed loader. Hope you figured it out, I opened mine, cleaned it, reassembled, and it works great with black widows and hornadys.

Cool video!....thanks for pointing out the seal that sometimes gets turned. I havend tried pulling all the stuff out just the bolt. My first slot for the co2 in the mag. The top has rescest up and it punctures but doesn't seal I have a replacement coming. I'd like to fix it because the store told me to keep it the mag.
Did you ever figure out how to fix your magazine. I have the exact same problem with mine. Crosman sent me a replacement and told me to keep the old one. I would like to repair it if I can

well you would need 45 pre loaded mags to determin 1400 rounds per minuet love the gun i have hopped mine up shoots good and is a sound chassie for for bb guns cheers m8
I wish they can package these guns with an extra magazine . Other then that, it looks like one hell of a fun plinker.
The only "problem" with that is the CO2 is in the magazine, so you'd have to switch out the CO2, as well. They sell the mags for $55 bucks, so I'd just keep it gassed and ready !!!
They sell them with two mags now and the mags are better
I bought it a week ago and i completely disagree about the speedloader - it works well in terms of filling the mags - but it does take some time to get used to how to do it properly - my only beef with it is that the top catch/loading part is weak and when i dropped it it easly opened spilling the bb's all over the place.
So yeah it is flimsy, cheap plastic but it does work well when used properly so far i refilled about 1,5k bb's with it and had no problems with it except the very first time when i dropped it to the floor xD
Aye, mine was like his but if you clean it it works great. I avoid copper coated bbs like the plague now though.

@@krzosu when i first bought the bb gun i bought the 6000 bb jar. Over time the copper coating flakes off, and when i took everything apart about a year ago for maintenance because of really bad ballistics I noticed copper dust covering everything. In the beginning copperheads worked, but my jar is over 3 years old now, is about 1/3 full and it has a half inch easy of copper dust in the bottom.
@@RWMAirgunsmithing Seems very weird to gather so much powdered copper in such a short time - but okay - i better keep an eye on that and proper maintnance just to be sure. Cheers.
@@krzosu it was over thé course of a year and a half, and the problem kinda krept up gradually. But yeah, it is weird, really happy with black widows though.

I own one and I'm disappointed that there are not larger capacity magazine's for it. 25 rounds? Seriously why not a 1,400 round magazine?
cuse goddammit there isnt one,.....there is the new QR mag that holds 300,...you keep it in the gun and after each 25 bb dump you pull out a slide and it loads 25 more,...yes it would be nicer to just have endless bb's avail,...but look into that

Frame 3:57-3:59 I see a BB fall out of the gun. Not sure where it came from but must have been ejected from the magazine somehow.
Thats strange I can't tell where it came from. I will look when I get home and see if a frame by frame will let me see where it came from. Thanks for commenting!
@@markandgunnersadventures6653 That BB came out of the opening of your mag(where the BBs go in). Sometimes it happens to me when I load up 25 BBs into the mag. I load only 24 BBs now and it solved the problem. When you load the full 25 BBs, the last BB is right at the entrance of the mag with the spring fed follower pressing up underneath it. When u go to take your first shot, sometimes the recoil or jolt will knock the BB out.

Question; Would this type of gun pack enough power to hurt say, a mountain lion, without killing it and just force it to back off? If not, then any recommendations for small compact powerful airguns?
I wouldn't shoot a mountain lion with this I think you would just piss it off. You might want to go for a big bore air rifle if you can't get a real firearm. Good luck with your search.
If you shoot a mountain lion with a BB gun you'll be more worried about it killing you than you killing it...
If you run into a mountain lion you can test it out and then if you live you can tell us about it.

Thanks for your comment at 1:05 in the video I talk about the adjustable stock. I like shooting in as tight of package as I can I think it makes you a smaller target if people are shooting back at you.
Personal I wouldn't recommend it the bbs litterly comes out like a airsoft rifle with the hopup turned completely down
the bolt is slowing down after 10 bb's, so how many clips per co2?.....plus they need to make a hopper for this so you can shoot at least 1500 BB's in one minute and see if its legit and used right, why have a gun that can fire 1400rpm and not be able to do it
It starts slowing down after the 4th magazine so I wold say 5 max. Thanks for asking.

Hey I'm considering getting one of these for cheap training (unfortunately cannot find anything in .308 recoil as I use a FAL for my fighting rifle).
How much recoil does this have compared to a real AR15? I'm trying to find a training rifle that has at least 5.56 recoil.
Twizzler Wizzler I would say the recoil is a little less than a 22 lr. I don’t know of any air gun that would recoil like a 5.56 or a .308. If you find one let me know because I would be interested in getting one.

I have got to get myself one of those things. I'm not a huge fan of the SBR format though. Hope crosman plans to release other variants based on the platform.

That is not a silencer. (ID10T) confusion. The mag loader works for me. Must have not tried reading the instructions. I’ve actually used the loader to reload other guns. SMH
I believe I said Faux which means fake silencer and yes I can read my loader is garbage but yours might work great I am glad you got a good one.

In California you need all the secret spots you can get. I am really happy you left some constructive criticism it is really helpful. Most importantly my friends and I have a saying if you know how many guns you have you don't have enough so keep collecting and someday you can be cool like me.
