@@Deeplands never have done so, but dont feel that doing so is bad thing. Maybe I have the propper sponges or a very controlled light touch so I dont need that extra safety measure
I've seen these minis from Ebay printers a while ago, kinda sad I didn't buy any. nice results on the rust effect. I still shy away from oils, acrylics give me fairly similar results with just as many steps, but without the drying times, but I can see the appeal. And at the end of the day, it's about what materials and tools you enjoy working with, everybody has different preferences. And I might still try out oils for some turnip28 minis in the future :)
I've tried out rust with oils a little but nothing beats this multiple wash approach when it comes to small human size models. When it comes to big vehicles and streaking in particular I think oils are the way to go, maybe Ill get a chance to showcase it next year when Imperial Knights get an update in 40K

@@resourcefulminiatures Sure, I'm usually pretty clumsy and heavyhanded my painting, so I might do so :)

Thnak you! they are form the "allstein" range form bestiatum miniatures
are those bases hand cut cork?
no, MDF
Out of curiosity, why did you switch to acrylics for the rust instead of just using oils?

you say that cuz of the oils? 😆
those are nice bestiarum models :)
As with most of their models, amazing sculpts
Are these still Warhammer40k? They seem less technologically advanced in a way
It's Trench Crusade. A Kickstarter game from the creator of Mordheim. Alternate timeline gothic/religious horror WWI trench warfare game.
