Takes a bit of work get the carrier to fire at it, the Thargoids around the carrier seems to be massively overpowered and blew up my AX ships within seconds.

those fleet carriers can wipe you out in a single hit but i cannot dent the thargoid.
Would be cool if you could outfit a fleet carrier for AX work

Ii wish they would put more capital ships in the game. Destroyers, mega science vessels, guided missile cruisers, fighter carriers, capital mining ships, mine layers
Thargoid Interceptors are already pure cancer for inexperienced Pilots, I don't wanna see any of their capital ships 💀
I mean I get what youre saying, we cant own them yet... But they do exist in the game

Carrier got moved out of the spire system on the Thursday weekly tick so no more playing with Thargoids around my carrier.

My carrier was in system which had barnacle matrix site, when update 17 dropped the system changed back to Thargoid controlled but didn't move the carrier from the system so the Thargoids would randomly drop in
Which system is this for thargoid to spawn near the carrier? Or did you get a thargoid from a nerby signal source and fly it all the way to the carrier?
Before the update some of the systems with matrix sites were turned back to human controlled. I parked my carrier above one the sites just before the update. I expected it would be kicked out system but it's still there. The system is back to Thargoid controlled so Thargoids spawn near the carrier. They fire off the shutdown pulse and run away again. Takes a few goes but if you get them near the carrier and they hit it then the carrier may fire back.
@@epaphus Do carriers at least shoot down shields with lasers to targoids?
@@alextopman5977 They didn't stay around long enough for the shield to come up. There also seemed to be a damage buff at the time as they took down my AX ship a lot at faster than normal. It's a shame carriers get moved from Thargoid systems could be some interesting game play there.

Been waiting for this to happen, as I always wondered if the carrier will defend against the Thargoid Threat and this vid answered that very question so thank you for doing this.

Carrier doesn't take damage. Not sure if you can do it without the carrier being in a Thargoid controlled system which can't normally be done. Was a bit of luck with update 17 changing the system to Thargoid controlled without moving the carrier from the system
