    That's a pretty sweet kit! It's a whole lot smaller than my DIY 280ah power station that I built. Looks like it's around 10lbs lighter than mine as well. Just goes to show that if you take the guts out of the components, you can make stuff a lot more compact. That thing could fit inside the toolbox I ended up using!

    Really cool! Honestly that’s a pretty decent weight for the amount of battery storage and power you have there.

    Definitely a nice product. I would like a bigger solar charge controller. I did buy one of their dc control boxes and it is very nice and works good.

    Where did you find those flexible busbars?
    One thing I think you forgot. There are red and black insulating covers that protect the battery bolts. You left them off and the bolts uncovered when you slid the battery in.

    • @Roll2Videos
      @Roll2Videos  5 місяців тому

      Busbars came with the kit.

    • @pchris6662
      @pchris6662 5 місяців тому +1

      @@Roll2Videos No. I realize that. I bought the same kit and I have the flat ones. But the flexible busbars you showed us do seem better than the ones in the kit for exactly the reasons you said. It’s so hard to tell when shopping online so I thought maybe you recall where you got them.
      P.S. By the way, as I said, I bought the same batt and power gen kit. If you didn’t already do it, I strongly recommend taking a 2.5mm hex driver and checking the tightness of every single screw in the generator. Not a single one was fully tightened down in mine and several were very loose. Good part is, none of them were stripped out, but they were definitely not tight either and the design of the box is not good to have loose screws rattling around inside. I hit mine with Loctite to be safe.

      @Roll2Videos  5 місяців тому +1

      @@pchris6662 Oh you are talking about my recommendation of using flexible ones. You can get them from Aliexpress.
      Great tip on checking the screws in the box, Thanks.

    How does one do a 120V charge and can it work with/like a pass through ... if it is set up to work in case of power outage ...and keeping personal medical equipment powered.

    • @Roll2Videos
      @Roll2Videos  9 місяців тому +1

      You would have to buy an external charger and connect it via the Anderson connection.

      I have the 2000 watt box. After watching your video I went and bought the 304 batteries and bms from a local company ezeal ...600 bucks. It was tight but if you mounted the bms on the end it fits. Basically now have 4,000 watts with a 200 amp bms. One issue with the other battery I had in there was the mismatch of a 2000 watt inverter with a battery that doesn't support sustained high wattage draw.
      And yes...boy...it's heavy!
      Thanks for showing me it can be done and how to do it.
      I can't get them to sell me their 3000 watt box without batteries. I told them I'd buy it ...but I have so many batteries...I don't need the unit with batteries. I'd like to 3000 watt setup with 240 to plug into my existing generator port that has the breaker lockout ....it would be nice to have a non gas option...of course I'd have to load manage my main breaker panel before plugging it in...but it would easily run the house essentials while getting topped off with solar.

    How can I run a Blue Seas DC distribution box in a small trailer while charging box using Anderson port? I wouldn’t want to use the 12v cigarette as that is limited to 10A and ideally I’d like 25A minimum to the DC distribution box?

    Well the same unit worked fine for 8 hours for me the next morning i woke up to a double beep sound every minute with the AC inverter on or off have you ever dealt with that and is there a particularly way to diagnose this or is it a good time for a warranty replacement, FYI I only had a portable radio connected to it and the battery shows 96%.Thanks for any advice ahead of time.

      What size battery do you have connected? Did you set up the shunt values? I believe the beeping is from the built-in battery shunt I've had this happen to me.
